  1. I like the BTR as a replacement of the Soviet Ranger, though I think it feels a bit more tanky when being shot at by the Allied Tanks. Its mobility and firepower feels right in the middle between the Ranger and APC.

I think the BTR should be made slightly more vulnerable to tank shells and rockets while maintaining its resistance to small arms fire. Its AP/HP is currently 250/250, which shares the same numeric value as the APC (despite having different armor types), but I'd consider lowering its health to 200/200 or 225/225. Its speed and mobility don't need to be changed if you ask me.

I don't have any more photos to share, never was one to take or be in lots of them.  But I do have some old silly stuff from Dri Reign, TeamNT, and a couple things that Kicken and I worked on.

First up, Classic Colors pack. @ Kicken and I worked on this, and finished it, back in December 2007.  Here is a signature we made to advertise we had made it:

Download link here, because why not.

This is what got me to expand on the idea of "classic colors" with the introduction of different house colors for the Allies and Soviets. Thanks for this.

Next up, some music.  This is in no way exhaustive, but it is a collection of APB Music I collected that started in 2005 and terminated in 2011.
    Link Here!

While we're at it, here is a pair of songs made for/used in Reborn from 2006 & 2009.

I wonder what happened to/how Chicajo is doing these days...

  3. C&C Attack Cursor Homing Lock for A Path Beyond

This pack will change the red "X" homing lock in A Path Beyond to the "Attack" cursor from C&C95/Red Alert.

You MUST use the included custom hud.ini if you wish to see the homing lock in its "original" colors, unless you want to see it in all-red.

Drop these files in APB's data folder which should usually be the following path:

    Quote

    ...\Program Files (x86)\W3D Hub\games\apb-release\data

Gonna be honest, I just skimmed the OP. But buy a SSD. Don't question it, just do it.

I second this statement. SSDs are the single best upgrade you can possibly get, especially for older laptops.

Check out this one laptop from MSI, $670 at the time of this post: https://www.newegg.com/black-msi-gf-series-gf63-thin-8sc-030-gaming-entertainment/p/N82E16834155183

You can use however much budget you have left over on an external hard drive for that large storage that you desire.

    • Any plans for future induldgement into the world of forum-mafia games and relations for advertisement?

I haven't really been interested in forum mafia. Even if I was, my IRL job as a hospital nurse wouldn't allow me to keep track of whatever day/night cycle shenanigans; The work I put into my job can get really physically and emotionally draining at times.

As for ads/relations, I would occasionally post on the W3D Hub Facebook page with content generated by myself...

Content such as this rekt-video-turned-forced-meme among some of the APB players

Adjusting colours in GIMP can be straight forward, just alter the hue settings.

Honestly I find GIMP working very well for game development needs, it does those types of tasks better than Photoshop, which I find more orientated towards photography and printing jobs.

This. I've been using GIMP to add onto this texturepack ever since even the Beta days of APB.

I think that we could reach more people if we got this game in the hands of some influencers/YouTube personalities.

I know Aprime is working for Linus Media Group/LinusTechTips these days; There is slight potential to be had there since it's a computer hardware channel...

PS. Aprime if you are reading this have someone make a product B-Roll that includes some crappy gameplay on the next monitor/AIO review :v

  8. Synthwave Ground Vehicles (and Aircraft, too!)

This soundpack converts a lot of the engine start and idle sounds of the ground vehicles in Red Alert: A Path Beyond into (almost) perfect loops of Retrowave/Synthwave tracks.

The vehicles affected by this soundpack use the following songs:

    • Light Tank: "Telecom" by Power Glove
    • Medium Tank: "Raining Steel" by Perturbator
    • Heavy Tank: "Built to Kill" by Lazerhawk
    • Mammoth Tank: "Death Squad" by Perturbator
    • Phase Tank: "Flightwave" by Com Truise
    • Tesla Tank (and MRJ): "Chaos" by Lazerhawk
      • ALTERNATE TRACK: "Diablous Ex Machina" by Perturbator (primary by default)
        • The old tracks will have "2" right after its proper file name (e.g. "s_teslatank_start2")
    • APC (and Minelayer): "Access Point" by Stoned Presidents
    • Artillery: "Rampage" by Kavinsky
    • Ranger (and Soviet Ranger): "Silver Screen Cruising" by Robert Parker
    • V2 Launcher (and Ore Truck, MGG, special/prop trucks)**: "King of the Streets" by Lazerhawk
      •  Note: The pitch factor has been adjusted in alignment with the V2 Launcher. Depending on the vehicle you are driving, the music pitch/speed may be higher or lower than normal.
    • Supply Truck (and Demo Truck): "Resemblance in Machine" by Phaserland
      • ALTERNATE TRACK: "Sexualizer" by Perturbator (primary by default)
        • The old tracks will have "2" right after its proper file name (e.g. "s_teslatank_start2")
    • Chronotank: "T.I.M.E" by Emil Rottmayer.
    • Tracks used on aircraft:

You must drive at the vehicle's top speed to be able to listen to the loop as you normally would the actual music track. Otherwise, enjoy the sound of warble-y music :v

Unfortunately, Phase Tank engine sounds could not be included in this soundpack due to them being detected by the server's anti-cheat.

    INSTALLATION

Download and open the RAR, and place the files in the following directory:

    Quote

    C:\Program Files (x86)\W3D Hub\games\apb-release\data

  9. Cardiac Telemetry Base Attack Notifications

This soundpack changes a lot of the "(enemy) <building> under attack" EVA notifications to the beeps and boops of a cardiac monitor station one would normally find in a hospital setting.

For all enemy structures, the following single beep will be played:

For your own team's minor structures (defenses, ore silos, SD, refill pads), a low-pitched single beep will be played:

For your own team's vital/production structures(refinery, barracks, WF, etc) under attack, a 2-beep sound will be played (skip ahead to 20 seconds in the video):

When your own team's vital structures get down to 25%/50%, the following 3-beep sound will be played. This sound is also audible when approaching a defense/MCT in red health, or if you travel out of bounds in a map:

    INSTALLATION:

Install the contents of this pack into APB's data folder. Default path: C:\Program Files (x86)\W3D Hub\games\apb-release\data
