  1. Well, Since around August of this year, I've been doing contract work as an electrician working 9 to 5... I also recently (as of last week) got laid off from said job due to a lack of available work in the area, so now I have had tons of free time to do random whatever. So I've taken it upon myself to start making skins.... Since there hasn't been any testing events recently, and I just haven't had much to do productively outside of waiting to get my pink slip to turn into the Union Hall, then get a quarter of my monthly wages in the form of unemployment until they find some other job site 2 hours away from me that I can start working at... (Fuck that tbh... I'm not doing that bullshit.) So while I'm waiting for interview calls, I've been letting my inner artist out by creating skins for War Thunder: The only game I've ever played for 67 months straight. please.... send help..... https://live.warthunder.com/post/869457/en/ https://live.warthunder.com/post/869456/en/ https://live.warthunder.com/post/869352/en/ So I guess... If anyone plays the game I could probably make an attempt to skin a vehicle or two since I'm starting to LEARN. Anywho, thats pretty much what I've been up to outside of W3DHub as of late.... Life is a pretty wild ride.
  2. I just saw this youtube video and felt it was worth sharing Main Points of Video: Usability of tools/Utility of tools -> Creativity -> Determination (opposite of RQ) Learning Curve -> Specialty -> Team Roles Guidlines/Policies -> Less Cheese (cheap wins) -> Fulfilling accomplishment / not feeling cheated Ease of Intuition / Decision making Hints -> Less Confusion / Less Helplessness -> Increased Skill / Strategy over time Complexity -> Frustration (Not Difficulty)
  3. Unfortunately, I can't share any stuff faster, because I am mostly online in social network which is limited in sharing music, so from time to time I also upload songs to Soundcloud (only own stuff) or YouTube (anything). And surely to my personal webpage. Such as this simple remake of Scout from Tiberian Sun. I slightly touched the original melody and recorded result before Twilight Flood came out. By the way, I recently updated my music section which may be found here. For today, I am preparing few new C&C-inspired melodies and remakes.
  4. Summary: The W3D engine itself (in current game releases) has no compatibility issues on Wine, the games are click and play. Some games that use older versions of scripts (ECW) require a simple workaround to get working. The W3D Hub launcher itself requires many non-obvious workarounds to get working (as detailed further down in this post). New renderer (scripts 5.x games) do not perform as well as of the time of writing. (lower framerates). Specific games: Interim Apex: Works. Tested over many hours of online play, completely stable. RA APB: Works. RA2 AR: Works offline, server is not being hosted at the time of writing. ECW: Works, but requires a workaround to avoid crashing on start with a 'Please report this error' message box. Other games: Ask if you would like me to test. In all cases except for scripts 5.x games: framerates are capped at 60 or rise into the hundreds. I'm on a computer made from parts from a skip -- mid range 2014 CPU, 4GB DDR3 and a low-end graphics card using the in-kernel (default for most ATI users) radeon drivers. Introduction For years I have run Renegade (and many other games) under Wine on Linux. Wine's compatibility is reasonably impressive, but recent dotnet versions and DRM in popular games (eg Fortnite, Roblox) are known headaches or showstoppers. The W3Dhub launcher uses a recent version of dotnet and WPF, both of which cause problems. Wine lets you run Windows programs on Linux. It's not an emulator, it doesn't have to be (we're all on x86), instead it provides a userspace compatible with Windows (dlls, services, etc) so Windows programs can be run natively. Once wine is installed you can double-click on EXEs and they'll run. Wine can be installed on any major Linux distro through your relevant package manager. Typically you also need to install some 32-bit packages to get proper graphics acceleration for 32-bit exes if you are on a 64 bit distro; this step requires some Googling. Some parts of the user experience are still rough around the edges. W3D Hub Launcher Download and run the W3Dhub installer as you normally would. I've ordered these problems based on the order I think you will encounter them. Prerequisite: Wine 4.0 or later Make sure you are running an up to date copy of wine: $ wine --version wine-4.0 Many distributions (eg Ubuntu, Mint, Debian) ship out of date copies of Wine. These will not allow dotnet and the W3Dhub launcher to operate correctly. Follow the instructions on winehq.org for setting up and installing Wine Stable (4.0 at the time of writing). If you are running old or unstable copies of wine: the launcher may not start, or may crash when you try to play a game. Problem 1: The W3Dhub installer hangs when it tries to install dotnet. Workaround: Kill the dotnet installer process. The W3DHub launcher won't notice the failure and will continue normally. Install winetricks. Your distro should have winetricks in its package manager. Use winetricks to install dotnet461: $ winetricks dotnet461 Installing 461 will take quite some time: various versions of dotnet have to be installed in a certain order to get there. In my case one of the steps hung because I had other Wine applications open ("Waiting for all wine applications to close"), so I had to manually close some other Windows applications I was using. Problem 2: Graphical glitches in the launcher make it impossible to read Different graphics drivers exhibit this problem slightly differently. On Intel Integrated I have found I don't need to enable 'emulate a virtual desktop' to fix things, but on Radeon I do. It appears that the VRAM being used for the window isn't being properly drawn/flipped. Workaround: 1. Open winecfg and tell Wine to use a virtual desktop: 2. Re-launch W3D hub if you have not already, so that it sits inside the virtual desktop. 3. Drag the corrupt-looking W3Dhub window off the edge of your screen and then back again. It will redraw itself correctly when coming back onto your screen. You will have to repeat this last step every time you open the launcher. Problem 3: My login credentials are not being saved The W3Dhub launcher only saves your login credentials when it exits normally. If the launcher crashes then it won't save them. Workaround: Enter your credentials Wait until you are logged in Close the W3Dhub launcher before it crashes (see the next problem). Problem 4: The W3Dhub launcher crashes exactly 15 seconds after logging in EDIT: As of Wine 4.3 (March 2019) this problem no-longer appears to occur. If you are still suffering this problem then please reply to this topic saying so. Workaround: Open the W3Dhub launcher Wait for it to log you in (your name and avatar will appear on it) Launch a second copy of the W3Dhub launcher The second copy will login, work normally and will not crash. The first copy will crash, but you can safely close it and ignore it. I've paced the steps above for a reason: please follow them. If you launch two copies of the launcher at the same time then there is a chance one copy won't login properly. You can also open more than two copies, but this is not generally that useful. Problem 5: Drop-down menus do not work in the game settings dialogs Notably: screen resolution at the top-right: Workaround: select the resolution drop-down box with your mouse, then use the cursor keys on your keyboard to cycle through the options. Problem 6: DXSETUP fails to run when installing a game Workaround: ignore. Appears to be harmless. Problem 7: The W3Dhub launcher pegs a few CPU cores EDIT: As of Wine 4.3 (March 2019) this problem no-longer appears to occur. If you are still suffering this problem then please reply to this topic saying so. I have no idea what's going on here. Excessive redraw loops if not vsync limited? Mining for tibercoin? This may negatively affect your gameplay if you do not have spare processor cores. Problem 8: Extremely poor framerate/performance, even in the menus This is a common symptom seen by people using 64 bit Linux distros that don't come with the necessary libraries for 32 bit graphics acceleration. Ie you're stuck using software rendering (but you do not told). On Debian based distros (Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, etc) you need to install several packages: $ sudo apt-get install libglx-mesa0:i386 (other packages?) TODO: find the full list of packages that need installing, or a source to link to. Nag me if you need help here, even if it's years in the future Problem 9: Expansive Civilian Warfare (ECW) crashes on start with a "please report this error" dialog Thankyou to the members of the WineHQ community for providing me the fix for this one. ECW came from an era of scripts/shaders where some directx8->directx9 conversions were being performed using a 'thunk' dll. This only works if you are running a real copy of d3d8.dll, not wine's built-in copy. Open up winecfg and add a native override for d3d8.dll: I didn't have to do anything further than this, BUT it may be because I already had a native d3d8.dll installed from something else. Please comment if you try this fix and it does not work for you, so we can track down a good copy of the dll. Additionally: this workaround will break some other games. You will have to turn it off (select '"Builtin (Wine)") for them to work. W3D & Vanilla Renegade Games Problem A: Screen is left looking bright (or dark) after a game is closed. The W3D engine changes your screen/card gamma settings when the game is launched, but it does not seem to restore them back when you close the game. Workaround: reset your gamma. A simple way on the command line: $ xgamma -gamma 1.0 Alternative workaround: set all of the brightness/contrast/gamma sliders in the in-game settings to 1.0 or 0.0 (as appropriate). This will make the game use a gamma of 1.0, making things appear darker overall but also ensuring a strange gamma level is not left when you close the game. Problem B: My mouse movement is limited or my mouse is not captured in-game I've triggered this problem when using an external utility to take screenshots. Some form of mouse grab gets stolen from the game. Workaround: press Esc to enter the pause menu, then esc again to return back to game. The game will grab the mouse back properly again. The problem of 'limited mouse movement', where you feel that your mouse has been constrained in a large box, is also known to occur when some specific directinput DLLs are installed. If you have previously installed these DLLs to fix other games you may need to remove them. If all else goes wrong: starting from scratch Eg: Sometimes installers will refuse to cooperate because of the state of your Wine environment. Installing some older versions of dotnet can 'break' dotnet461, stopping the launcher from running Installing dotnet461 or other dlls can (in some circumstance) break other older games or programs. If you need to start with a 'fresh windows environment', then consider deleting the ".wine" folder in your home directory. Warning: this will delete all files in your virtual C:\ drive, including other windows programs and games. Note: Filenames and foldernames beginning with a dot are hidden. Alternatively you can create a single "Wineprefix" just for W3Dhub and W3D games. Every "Wineprefix" you have is like a separate Windows installation and environment, complete with its own version of the C:\ drive and Windows registry. Whilst Wineprefixes are a very effective way of segregating different Windows programs/games, they require some more advanced steps to setup and use, so I don't recommend them for beginners. https://askubuntu.com/questions/956244/what-is-a-wineprefix https://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#Wineprefixes I personally use wine prefixes extensively. I have had bad experiences with experimental windows programs breaking my registry and ruining modded game installs that have survived for years. I have also had certain games require dlls that dramatically slow other games down. End notes This is a very Windows/MSVC-centric community so I don't ever expect Linux support to be priority, but it's nice to have it. Dotnet and all of its extensions are always going to be a PITA to get working on other platforms, that's arguably one of the motivations of dotnet. We now have projects like Mono and some interest from Microsoft in become cross platform, but things are far from perfect. Happy to answer questions and hear people's opinions; I don't mind if you have not used Linux before and there's no such thing a silly question. 5. Hello there, here's a short guide to get connected to our IRC channels! 1. Get an IRC client. I use Hexchat personally, but there are a lot of options. mIRC is one of the more popular ones. 2. Connect to rencorner by typing /server irc.rencorner.com -- You may wish to autoconnect, look around in settings for this option 3. Type /join <channel> by replacing <channel> with the following: #w3dhub-apb (A Path Beyond) #w3dhub-ecw (Expansive Civilian Warfare) #w3dhub-tsr (Tiberian Sun Reborn) #ikmaps (Interim-Apex -- this channel was called Imperial Kaskins Maps before the official IA name was conceived) 4. Protect your IRC nickname by registering it. In the rencorner channel or any other channel, type /ns register <password> <email> and replace password with a password you'll remember, and email with your email address or a throwaway. Once you register, you'll be asked to identify yourself each time you connect to IRC. Just type /ns identify <password> to do so. If you're using HexChat, you can click HexChat -> Network List -> Edit button for Rencorner and add a Connect Command to do this for you on startup.
  6. Good Evening all. I would like to make this known I am not posting this as a staff member but personally myself as Threve. As many of you know a couple days ago a gunman walked into a building and shot 50 people point blank while filming it using memes and a bunch of internet references while doing so. There are numerous and endless discussions on the politics of it none of which are what this topic is about. All to often it seems to people kill themselves or commit acts with no outlet to reach anyone or any help. It is easy to get down, it is easy to give up hope but difficult to ask for help. If you or anyone that you know is in the fray and need someone to talk to then please reach out. Talking to that one friend or asking for help can change the life and outcome of things or at the very least help. Some of the darkest days i've had have been helped by some good people here on these forums and I invite anyone that needs a helping hand or someone to talk to.. to message me if need be or talk to anyone. I talk alot of shit all the time in-game but i do genuinely mean it in good fun and not to be taken seriously. This goes not just for this website but anyone you know as well. Reach out to those friends you haven't talked to in a while and if someone joins and it seems their chat is more so about how much they are down then take a moment and talk to them about it. We are not just W3D Hub. We are the W3DHub community and having that title means looking out for each other so that we can keep kicking ass not only in-game but also in life. I am not naive and know that some will call this topic cuck or whatever (so is the internet) but it needs to be said and if it helps at least one person out from doing something irreversible then that is what matters. Suicide Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255 If you need someone to talk to then message your friends here on the forums or message me and I'll do my best to help. Again, don't let yourself be in this alone. Note: Respectfully, this is not the topic to post memes related to the shooting or discuss the politics of it. If you'd like to then make a new topic and go from there.
  7. I will just leave this here. https://forum.openra.net/viewtopic.php?f=82&amp;t=20777 http://www.openra.net/news/special-announcement/
  8. [blurb]The update everyone has been waiting to see![/blurb][thumb]thumb_apb.7.png[/thumb]Hello everyone! Welcome to the late night update! The update you've all been waiting for the past few weeks! I'm your host, Coolrock-o! I bring you an exciting new showing of what's been in the works for the past few months. Let me tell you, it wasn't easy getting this all ready for the fans that have been sticking around all these years. Be happy that Pushwall is here, otherwise none of this wouldn't be possible! I know I have a lot of you on the edge wondering what this is all about by now, so let's get to it! MiGThe MiG is finally finished, and will be added into the game come the next patch. More details will be released in the developer blog! For now, I have a very nice render to show off the final product. This should be a nice flash back for anyone familiar with the Red Alert cutscenes. Model by @Sir_Phoenixx | Texture by @Fabian| Render by @Dghelneshi With such a flashy new MiG being added into the game, which threatens the Allied Navy, we decided that it was also time to overhaul the naval units. Let's face it, the older models have served their purpose! Gunboat While the best looking of the two ships, we still felt that this ship needed a new look to match the other detail wise. Here's a look at the new Gunboat! Again, more details will be given once the developer blog is released. Model & Texture by Omegavision | Render by @Dghelneshi Let's jump right into our last update for the night! DestroyerThis has to be one of the biggest improvements to a vehicle this game has seen in years. Hands down one of the best looking vehicles currently in the game. This will be your go-to when protecting your fleet from incoming Yaks, MiGs, and Hinds! Model & Texture by Omegavision | Render by @Dghelneshi Along with all this happening, the Soviets also need to see an update also. Currently a WIP, but I wanted to share this with you guys anyways! Missile SubSorry for the picture quality, but it's the best I have for this sneak peak. Hope you guys don't mind! Model by @Kane000 This one won't be ready for a while, but it'll be coming with hopefully a new Attack Sub later this year! With all that said and done, I hope you guys enjoyed this little teaser. I swear I'm forgetting something though Oh that's right! How silly of me! Cruiser Model & Texture by Omegavision | Render by @Dghelneshi IT'S HERE NEXT PATCH! GOODNIGHT EVERYONE!
  9. Good Evening all. I've recently been playing Interim Apex and on the map Urban Warfare there is a lot of acclaim that the music is good. One of the tracks however has eluded me and searching the data in the Interim Apex folder (Always.dat 1, 2, 3 and all 27 IA.mix files) has led me to nothing. Therefor.. If anyone would like to listen to the catchy song from the Urban Warfare map it is here for your pleasure. Enjoy All and if you know the author, title or name please let me know so I can update accordingly.
  10. Hi guys and girls. I didn't know where to stick this so If you need to move it then do so. As I reside over at Rencorner.com and use Remote Desktop to connect to server boxes I found out that if your PC updates to the latest Microsoft updated version, you will get an error message like this example and not be able to connect to the server box. I found this out myself as this happened to me. Further information about this is here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/4093492 https://www.computerworld.com/article/3271849/microsoft-windows/patch-tuesday-problems-fixes-but-no-cause-for-immediate-alarm.html http://support.microsoft.com/kb/4103718 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/4099633 Just thought I'd give you guys/girls a head's up if you didn't already know. I fixed my issue by uninstalling the latest Windows update (9th May) and rebooted my PC, and now I have access to the server box. @Strike I now can get on your box again lol. Anyways I hope this helps and also keep an eye on the Microsoft updates. Cheerz ice187dna o/
  11. I'm still around these forums, lurking and watching. But I've also been doing lots of cool things around the place as well. For a while I was the lead designer on an indie game project (unfortunately it died), and I ended up writing a bunch of tracks for the game's soundtrack. Since then I've taken some courses at university on music production and have been fiddling around with things in my free time. If you want to hear what I've done you can follow me on soundcloud: Thanks for having a listen!
  12. Renegade turns 16 years old today! This game has shaped all of our lives in some way and is the reason why W3D Hub exists as a community today! This odd little game released and captured the hearts of many C&C fans with it's unique multiplayer mode back in 2002 (and during the beta before that). The fact that the game was so flexible from a modding standpoint has pretty much brought us to where we are now. Here's a nice article about Greg Hjelstrom developing the modding tools for Renegade, most of which we still use today: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2002/02/01/cc-renegade-designer-diary-pt-7 Consequently Renegade X, the UDK re-imagining of C&C Renegade also turns 4 years old today! Big congrats to the team over at https://renegade-x.com for all of their hard work! I think Renegade X developer (and C&C Reborn alumni) FobbyGen said it best on the Renegade X Facebook page earlier today, so here's a slice of what he wrote. Check out the full post here: https://www.facebook.com/CNCRenX/posts/10156246743512431 I think that it's astonishing that even today Renegade continues to get a somewhat small but steady stream of players that keep the game alive for anyone wishing to return to it. Renegade Forums may be very quiet these days, but that hasn't stopped communities like W3D Hub from flourishing and building our own fan-bases. Keep your eyes peeled in the next few days for some more exciting announcements about some of the stuff we've got planned for this year! [thumb]custom_thumb_ren.png[/thumb][blurb]Happy 16th birthday to Command and Conquer Renegade! Also a happy 4th birthday to Renegade X![/blurb]
  13. What do you use for background noise when you're working on projects, reports, and other such mindless tasks? I'll start with the URealms Live playlist, it's basically a D&D campaign you can listen to with a few funny moments, and you won't miss much by just listening to the video. https://www.youtube.com/user/BruceWillakers/playlists?shelf_id=29&view=50&sort=dd
  14. So the Linkin Park frontman died today of apparent self-hanging. The creepiest part of this is that today is Chris Cornell's birthday! These dudes were friends! Goosebumps anyone?
  15. [blurb]CNCNZ isn't shutting down! It was, but now it's not![/blurb] Friends, it is with great regret that I inform you that CNCNZ.com, the second-longest running C&C community site, is shutting down in the coming days. Archive what you can and care about. http://forums.cncnz.com/topic/20688-all-good-things-its-time-say-to-goodbye/ Ninjaedit: CNCNZ isn't shutting down!
  16. Hi all! It's been awhile since I've posted here, I've mostly been lurking, reading updates and such. I had to log back in though, because I have to talk about something extremely important. Net Neutrality. The definition of Net Neutrality is "the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites." This means that all data flows the same way, from everywhere. If you want to watch a movie on Netflix, or stream that movie on a different website, then they will both use the same speed connection, and the connection cannot be slowed down or blocked. However, the FCC has recently voted to strike this down, and is currently in the debating state. Come August(the 8th, I believe), if nothing is done about it, Net Neutrality will be voted out, giving Internet Service Providers like Comcast free reign over your connection speed and that of others. They will be able to freely throttle or block data from any website, for any reason, and charge the owners to get the speed back, without any legal repercussions. I don't know where W3DHub is based, what your finances are like, or what ISPs would charge for uncompromised data flow, but it may very well make this website unusable, and W3DHub's games unplayable. Which is why I want to warn you. W3DHub is a fantastic place, with great members, and talented devs who are still making the most out of a game engine over a decade old, and doing a damn good job of it. Each mod has a lot of love and hard work thrown into it, with some mods still in development, and I want those mods to be able to be shared for years to come, and I'm sure you do too. Please, support Net Neutrality. Call your Representative, call or email the FCC, join a march, anything. The FCC is pushing this hard, but we can push harder.
  17. I was saddened and dismayed this morning when I opened facebook, to see a post by Frank Klepacki commenting on the death of Chris Cornell last night. If you don't know who this guy is, then you are likely not very old or just don't much like rock music, because he was only in about half a dozen different bands during the 90s and 2000s (soundgarden, temple of the dog, audioslave just to name a few). He is well known for his amazing voice and talent. The music world has definitely taken a loss today.
  18. Hey guys! With the success of APB Madness in the forums, I noticed that a few other W3D Hubbers create YouTube content! If you create YouTube content (Or stream for that matter), plug your channel in this thread and I'll put it in this first post so we can get a master list going! Of course I must start with shameless self-promotion of my horrible, Windows Movie Maker, and generally bad gameplay! 19. So recently there's been A LOT of news about Disney being sued for "copying ideas for Zootopia" http://www.straitstimes.com/lifestyle/entertainment/disney-sued-over-zootopia http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/movies/disney-sued-for-allegedly-stealing-oscarwinning-zootopia-20170322-gv4bqx.html http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/mar/21/gary-goldman-screenwriter-sues-disney-over-zootopi/ (There's way more than just this) Now this isn't the first time Disney is being accused of stealing, but all this talk right now about taking ideas from a pitch reminds me of Louis Castle talking about how Battlefield came about: Just some trivia about the idea for Battlefield. Except Westwood has been shut down so there's no way in hell there's any chance of them trying to sue DICE. But if Westwood was still around, would they even get so worked up about the possibility of their pitch ideas getting copied? I don't want to start an argument, but I really wanted to let people know that there is a possibility that one of the biggest FPS franchises was actually created by 'stealing' an idea from Westwood, but yet DICE isn't getting sued for "copying the creators of C&C" So why is a writer getting so worked up about a friggin furry film (I know it's "so much more than that") that just has some similarities to his work?
  20. So, Wednesday of June 15th. My father got into a semi serious accident after he fell asleep at the wheel. Driving "My" 40k jeep wrangler I bought 5 months prior. Nonetheless 2 were injured and have been transported to the local hospital, the Jeep was totalled (currently awaiting appraisal and repair pricing), and My father is fine. He sat in jail for a good 6 hours before I found out and bailed him out (he paid his bail and is now in the red financially), charged with a DUI, and is awaiting court on the 25th of July. We currently have luttle to no money to do anything, and as of this, I am seeking temporary employment for the weekends until everything gets sorted out, so we dont lose our newly purchased house, and I dont lose all my shit. Until then I will be unable to attend any Tests, games, or really anything until further notice. From time to time I can however, post and browse the forums at my current main place of employment. I wish all of you the best of luck, and pray that my situation gets better soon.... From what Im hoping, if my dad does get jailed after the 25th, I hope they give him work release.... For anyone who does doubt me and think I'm doing this for attention, you are sadly mistaken. Although I tend to complain and blow things out of proportion, this even is very real, and is a very terrifying stage in my life.... I've been through this "losing everything" business before my mother took her life in 2012. I'm praying it doesnt go down the same route, where it is my dad who takes his life, leaving me and my sister to try and pay for bills, a vehicle that works, food, and the house. As of June 18th, viewing this site gives you the partial story what happened at the top of the page. http://www.peshtigotimes.net/ I'm also not asking for any support other than emotional support. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this, and for those on the forums who are there for me to fall back on for support, Fraydo, Chopbam, especially you Jerad2142 (Spirit Deer). I hope to see all of you after July on the battlefields of APB, Reborn, and the nightclubs of ECW. -Bailey(MPRA2)

  23. Having trouble getting started with the W3D Hub Launcher? Here's a nifty walkthrough! Step 0. Download and install the Launcher. (This can take a few minutes.) Step 1. Open the launcher and click "Games". Step 2. Click the game you want to play. Right now, Red Alert: A Path Beyond (APB), Tiberian Sun: Reborn (TSR), and Expansive Civilian Warfare (ECW) are the only ones that are released to the public. Step 3. Click "Install." Step 4. Wait for the game packages to be downloaded and installed completely. You must leave the launcher open during this process. Occasionally this process will fail the first time around, usually due to an unstable internet connection. If this happens, just exit the smaller download window and click "Install" again. Only the packages that failed to download the first time will be re-downloaded, and then the install process will complete automatically. Step 5. Click on "Server Browser" and join any available server (More will appear as more games are released). It may take a few seconds for player count to display, but you can join the server immediately. Step 6. If this is your first time playing after installing, you may have to configure your video / audio settings. Sometimes these settings will not actually take effect until you start the game for the second time. Additionally, if you click your monitor (Generic PnP Monitor in the example image), you might reveal more resolution options that are specific to the monitor you will be playing the game on. Step 7. You're now in game! If you have any issues, please make a thread in the Help & Support forum and we will be happy to help you figure it out!
