  2. So i want to make game scifi WW2 or dieselpunk stuff, but because i'm still newbie on programing and 3d modeling might be really need help from professional modders in here, any of you would like the idea? (I made this picture using photoshop)
  3. Join the fun this coming Saturday, March 19th! APB Game Night! Full details in the poster. BE THERE!
  4. Hey folks! The holiday hijinks will start on December 12th! It’s Christmas-themed Choose Your Own Role! I expect to see plenty of recognizable holiday characters in this one, but to be inclusive I’ll accept role requests for modern (as in, still widely celebrated) holidays set around the same time. This includes Hannukah and Kwanza, for example. Examples of holiday roles? There’s The Grinch, perhaps Ebenezer Scrooge, Frosty the Snowman, Buddy the Elf, Jesus Christ, or maybe even one of the Three Wisemen, and who could forget ol’ Saint Nick himself? Or maybe you’re feeling a bit sneaky and want to go with a lesser-known character such as Miles Finch (he’s an angry elf!) or perhaps a role with some more supernatural power, like The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Point is, there’s options. Lots of options. Except Die Hard. That’s not a Christmas movie. This game will feature items, so please include at least two with your role request! I can’t guarantee they’ll both be used, so if you have a preference please mark one a higher priority. SIGNUPS (8 MINIMUM) Killing_You Chopbam OrangeP47 Shade939 Louis FRAYDO
  5. Chapter 1: Just Another Day on the Job. Agent's Code Name: Mayhem Mission Date: May 25th, 1998 Mission Objective: Infiltrate Nod Research Centre, extract any essential data, disable research centre. Background: It is the middle of the First Tiberium War. Nod is now working out in the open. Several poorer nations have put their backing behind Nod. The media has begun to turn against GDI, the town of Białystok has turned into a firestorm of accusations against GDI for crimes against humanity. With Nod feeling confident, they've begun to make mistakes. Recently, intelligence officers have uncovered a Nod research centre about 25 miles outside of Salzburg, Austria, near the town of Traschwandt. There have been reports of people and livestock disappearing from Traschwandt, but the local officials have been suspiciously quiet on this matter. A Tiberium field appeared about two months ago and has been spreading at a higher rate than usual. Choice: Mayhem is currently on a stealth plane preparing to land near the research centre. How should he do it? 1. Nod has set up a small base near the research centre, on the side of the Tiberium field opposite of Traschwandt. The base is lightly defended and consists of an Airfield, a Hand of Nod, and a power plant. 2. Land in the Tiberium Field. Mayhem's field suit can protect him for a short time from Tiberium exposure. Aerial intelligence has not verified any threats, but movement has been seen in the field. 3. Land at Traschwandt. There is no official Nod presence in the town. However, the villagers are on edge and the local officials have turned a blind eye to the disappearances of persons and livestock. Inventory: Tiberium field suit .50 cal silenced sniper rifle (6 bullets) C4 charges (2) Mossberg 500 shotgun (12 shells) Note: I've changed updates to weekly over twice weekly. After this week, updates will be in separate posts. If you feel you need more information, I'll give it at my discretion. INTEREST THREAD STARTS HERE Hey guys, I'm gauging interest for a choose your own adventure style game here on the forums. What is it? A choose your own adventure game is a story-driven game where the players (That's you!) get to choose how the story progresses. A simple example: You are walking down a road and come to a fork in the path. Option A- You turn right Option B- You turn left Once one of these options is chosen, the story continues with various consequences (positive and / or negative) based on this choice. How would this work? Using the forums poll feature, your friendly neighbourhood GM (That's me!) would present options once a week for the community to vote on. The poll would close the day before the next poll opens and the story will continue with the option chosen. Who is it for? This game would be drop in / drop out for anyone. Player input can be minimal, with just voting for the day and then leaving, or can be more involved, with discussions of what would be the best course of action and trying to persuade others. When would it start? If there's interest, this can start within a month. It can also run concurrently with a mafia game as it doesn't demand the same level of interaction. What would be the setting? It is the middle of Tib-War 1. The character is a GDI commando, codenamed 'Mayhem', infiltrating a Nod research centre at the edge of a Tiberium field. Intelligence is sketchy, but it seems there are ongoing experiments with Tiberium exposure to animals and plants. There are also intelligence reports that people have been disappearing from the nearby town. Mayhem's objective within the research centre is to see what Nod is up to and stop them. So let me know in the poll up above if you'd be interested in this type of game and any feedback if you've played similar games in the past.
  6. I recall when I was younger when GameSpy was a thing, I recall playing a Server on the Map Islands Don't know if it was a modified or not. But you use the chat to use commands to check list of props, move between the list of props so you could build around, was like a type of Sandbox mod, was pretty neat, does anyone know what's the server / mod / map i'm talking about? Thanks
  7. CHOOSE YOUR OWN ROLE - Remastered Edition INTRO I haven't seen a game coming up and what better way to come back (permanently this time)? This game will start in August (unless we get enough players earlier). Items, abilities, whatever you decide we'll try our best to incorporate it and balance as needed. If you find creating a role too hard, don't worry. We'll take whatever idea you give and try to make it fun and interesting while keeping the balance of course. Remember, the character you pick helps define the game! For those of you who are new to Choose Your Own Role style mafia games, here’s a short explanation: at its core, CYOR is a standard mafia game. Town attempts to eliminate all hostile elements (mafia and third party). Mafia attempts to eliminate players and outnumber the other factions. The third party has specific win conditions based on their role, and the neutral faction is similar; neutral faction players, however, are not considered hostile. If you sign up for this game, you will send me a PM with your role request. You can customize your role as much as you see fit, and we will do our best to honor your request. Here’s an example of a role request: The more information you include in your request, the more accurate your final role will be. Here’s a template to help guide your request, although it’s not necessary to use when sending me your PM: MECHANICS This game's going to be chaotic--I'll be more lenient with restricting roles, so bring whatever you want to the table. 8. Hey everyone, we've been invited to Season 8 of Mafia Championship! Given I'm about to start a new job and I'm gonna be super busy, I probably can't do it this time. I say we send Shade, but we can discuss possible options here. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Jys9pqrKSpZ3hEX17iuu4mtoG-c_7YbgHRTK0pAZCUQ/edit This doc is the invite, and has a link to this year's setup. Seems like it has a fairly balanced set of roles, some power roles and vanilla, so it's not mountainous at least.
  9. IntroductionWelcome to a game very loosely based on the Star Trek universe. You are a member of the United Federation of Planets, currently serving upon the Federation star ship USS Explorer as one of it's bridge officers. Your ship has been dispatched to deal with the growing Separatist movement on Valden II. In order to combat the growing threat and ensure that the planet remains loyal to the Federation you will engage in several missions to the planet surface, each one conducted by a carefully selected away team of you and your fellow officers. GameplayIn this game, you have two teams competing against each other in a point based competition mini game. The two sides are divided into the Federation Loyalist and the hidden Federation Separatist. The Separatist are given access to a separate hidden document where they are allowed to discuss the current game state and collaborate with each and plan out their actions. In order for either side to win, they must score a total of three points over a maximum of five rounds. Each round will consist of a 48 Hour Day Phase in which players can discuss the game with each other, and vote for an Away Team to send on today's Mission or nominate their own Away Team for other players to also vote on. The Away Team size will change based on a combination of what round it is and the number of players in game. For example, the first Mission might require only two players to complete it as part of that Day's Away Team, while the following Missions requires three players or more for the Away Team. After the Day phase, the game will enter a 24 Hours Night Phase where the Away Team is sent on the mission, while the remaining players are limited to two night post in the thread, and are allowed to use any actions they have to influence the game. For the Away Team, if a Separatist member is part of the Away Team they will be given an option to Sabotage the Mission gaining a point for their team and denying the point to the Loyalist, or they can allow the mission to succeed giving the point to the Loyalist. If the Away Team only consist of Loyalist members, then the mission will automatically succeed. Regardless of the outcome, the results of a Mission Success for Loyalist or Mission Failure for Loyalist will not be known until it is announced at the start of the next Day Phase, along with the outcome of any actions used during the Night Phase. This does mean that the only way for a mission to fail, is for a Separatist to be part of the Away Team. During the day phase the following actions will be used to vote. ##Vote (Player) - Support a players nomination for an away team. ##Nominate (Player, Player, ect..) - Nominate an away team for other players to vote on. Also, player deaths will not be a thing during this game. So it's up to you to determine by yourself if a player is a Loyalist or a Separatist and to prevent or put them on the Away Team. Sign-upsSix player minimum, with a of soft maximum of 12 players. This is a really easy setup, so I can start this within a day or two after everyone signs up. @Jeod @Mojoman @OrangeP47 @Louis @Category 5 Hurricane Bookmarks Day One Night One Day Two Night Two Day Three Master Game Sheet Scum Doc

  11. Introduction "Around the Seventh Blackstone Fortress lies a midden of shattered fleets – the graveyards of those foolish enough to try to take this ancient citadel by force. From the ruins of these failed ventures came a space station – a waypoint for those looking to venture into the fortress themselves. Precipice." Now even Precipice has come under assault. Not by a crusade of righteous zealots of the Imperial Creed, followers of the dark gods, or by one of the various perfidious alien species that infest the galaxy. By an "acquisitions" group who think the real riches of the blackstone fortress come from managing the last stop in. Hello and welcome to the third mafia game based on Games Workshop's Warhammer 40k franchise. This time the shooting mechanics are based on Vert's old APB mafia games that have become popular again. As standard everyone gets some sort of ##attack ability (instead of ##shoot) except results are based on the attack sequence from 40k. The Game (Stolen from @Killing_You) This is a forum-based game of "Mafia," in which the majority of players (Town), must decide who among them is part of a hostile faction (Scum), and eliminate them via lynch before scum can whittle down Town numbers via nightkill. This is primarily a socio-analysis game, and success relies upon coordination, communication, and reading your opponent. The game is divided into two phases; day and night. Most of the game takes place during the 48-hour day phases, which are divided up by 24-hour night phases, during which many players have abilities that can help them and their faction achieve victory. Here town players are the workers and mercenaries who call Precipice their home and referred to as err Town while mafia players are members of the fiendish Interstellar Refurbishing Syndicate. Other factions may make themselves known during the game. It really depends on the player count. This will probably not have a standard rolesheet like other APB mafia inspired games, especially before the games begin. Instead roles are modular where the players base stats, weapon stats, and abilities are modular. Because of this I can work in a bit of CYOR where players can ask for species/races, weapons (ranged or melee), and abilties. Species determines your base stats, weapons determines both your attacking stats and how they work (melee attacks always get the amount of attacks from your base stats but allows one strike by the defender if they survive), and abilities determines your "role". See this link for a look at what kinds of rules you're asking for. http://wahapedia.ru/wh40k9ed/the-rules/playing-this-game/ To make an attack players use the ##attack day action or if they have multiple weapons to use can use the ##shoot or ##melee actions. 12. THE GAMEWelcome back to another Tiberian Sun: Reborn forum mafia game! After the first TSR Mafia was a success, I'm keen on making this a trend. I've tweaked the setup based on feedback, mostly expanding the roster. As such, the new role sheet is significantly larger. The most obvious addition is unit types, "Infantry" and "Vehicle." Infantry are the basic unit type, vulnerable to every type of weapon. Vehicles are bulletproof during the day, with the exception of certain units with the "Vehicle Destroyer" ability. As always, the role sheet is not meant to be a 100% accurate reference. Not all of these roles will appear in the game, and there may be some roles that do not appear on the role sheet. Anything is possible, especially more so now that certain roles (Chameleon Spy, as an example) are not 100% guaranteed to appear. Once again, this will revolve around a Global Defense Initiative base being infiltrated by the Brotherhood of Nod. Depending on player count, there is the possibility of Neutral or Third Party roles appearing, with their own victory requirements. Be aware that Early Hammer still exists, so use your vote wisely! Sign-ups will close Friday, January 29th. The game will start Monday, February 1st. 13. APOCALYPSE RISING MAFIA GAME ONE I don't think any introduction is necessary, but I do think after Killing_You's thrillingly successful Tiberian Sun Mafia game, it's a good idea to keep up the adrenaline rush. You can view the previous mafia game to get an idea of how it works. Below is the roster for this game, subject to change of course up until 72 hours before game start. ROLE QUANTITY DAY ACTION NIGHT ACTION Conscript 5 ##SHOOT <target> - Attempt to shoot and kill your target (25% stuck chance, 25% kill chance). One time use. ##PRACTICE - Attend target practice and decrease your stuck chance by 25% for the following day. The Allies will know if you practiced. One time use. Tesla Trooper 1 ##SHOOT <target> - Attempt to shoot and kill your target (50% stuck chance, 75% kill chance). One time use. ##SURGE <player> - Fire an electrical shot at your target and roleblock them. Crazy Ivan 1 ##SHOOT <target> - Attempt to shoot and kill your target (25% stuck chance, 75% kill chance, 100% self kill). One time use. ##HAPPY BIRTHDAY <player> - Blow up yourself and your target. Unstoppable. Rhino Tank 1 ##SHOOT <target> - Attempt to shoot and kill your target (0% stuck chance, 75% kill chance). One time use. ##PROTECT <player> - Serve as protection for your target. Radar Tower 1 ##SHOOT <target> - Attempt to shoot and kill your target (100% stuck chance, 0% kill chance). One time use. ##PING <player> - Ping a player and learn their role. Sniper 1 ##SHOOT <target> - Attempt to shoot and kill your target (50% stuck chance, 75% kill chance on infantry, 0% kill chance on vehicles). One time use. ##DISABLE <player> - Take a potshot at your target and roleblock them. Spy 1 ##SHOOT <target> - Attempt to shoot and kill your target (100% stuck chance, 0% kill chance). One time use. ##INFILTRATE <player> - Attempt to infiltrate your target. If successful, their target will appear as one of the Allied roles. Mirage Tank 1 ##SHOOT <target> - Attempt to shoot and kill your target (0% stuck chance, 75% kill chance). One time use. (PASSIVE) DISGUISE - Night actions used on you always fail (target appears blocked). Disguise is lost if you shoot. This game is projected to start no sooner than January 1st and no later than January 4th. Also, please welcome @Louis as a first-time co-moderator! This setup is basic enough that, if numbers are needed, I will become a player and allow Louis to fully moderate this game (with some outside help if needed). 14. Today I learned that the CIA, the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States, keeps an unofficial GameSpot game guide to C&C Tiberian Sun in their online archives. https://www.cia.gov/library/abbottabad-compound/57/5790FAA57774FEE1A19C21F3F98FD10D_Tiberian_Sun_Guide.pdf Supposedly this was recovered from the Abbottabad compound (Bin Laden's safe house, if that rings any bells) and its collection of documents and files. Old news, new news, I thought this was neat to share if you have not already seen it.
  15. INTRODUCTIONHello, and welcome to the first forum Mafia game based on Tiberian Sun: Reborn! This game is essentially a "mod" of Verti60's classic APB mafias. Hmm... a mod of a forum game based on a mod based on a game, which in turn is also based on a different mod of a different game in the same franchise? WHEN WILL THE MADNESS END?! With a winter break in Dead Legion filming on the horizon, I'll have time to run this without the assistance of a co-mod. So for those who've played those games before, you probably know the drill. For those new, however, let me go over the details of what you can expect. THE GAMEThis is a forum-based game of "Mafia," in which the majority of players (Town), must decide who among them is part of a hostile faction (Scum), and eliminate them via lynch before scum can whittle down Town numbers via nightkill. In this case, the game will revolve around an outpost set up by the Global Defense Initiative, which has been infiltrated by the Brotherhood of Nod. There will not be any Neutral or Third Party in this game, as this is largely a "back-to-basics" game, as a refresher for everyone who feels like CYOR has been a tad overplayed, and for me who doesn't feel comfortable going crazy with a game setup, considering I wasn't too happy with my previous outings. Here is the preliminary rolesheet that I've created. Keep in mind that this is a guideline, not a hard-and-fast rule. Not all of these will appear in the game, and there may be some secret roles not included in the sheet that might appear. Also, for balance purposes, everything is open to adjustment. One thing that I should mention: /!\ EARLY HAMMER WILL BE A FEATURE IN THIS GAME! /!\ This means that if 51% of the votes are placed on a single target, the day will end automatically with that person being lynched, and the game will move into the night phase. Keep this in mind... Sign-ups will close Friday, December 11th. The game will begin on Monday, December 14th. 17. CHOOSE YOUR OWN ROLE VI (SIX) INTRO The polls say the people want an unthemed CYOR game. As a patriot and believer of the American election system, it's time for CYOR VI! This game will start on Friday, November 6, at 10:00PM GMT (the usual time, but daylight savings time is soon so take that into account). If you weren't a part of my previous CYOR V, that anniversary edition was slightly themed with items from past games. This time, however, I fully expect every player to bring out their best, their baddest, their most chaotic ideas. My promise for this game is to try to deliver the same kind of epic, puzzle-like, rage-inducing feel as RNGesus, Capitalism/Imperialism, and the Infinity Stones. As players, I hope your creativity will help me make good on that promise. For those of you who are new to Choose Your Own Role style mafia games, here’s a short explanation: at its core, CYOR is a standard mafia game. Town attempts to eliminate all hostile elements (mafia and third party). Mafia attempts to eliminate players and outnumber the other factions. 21. Theme Description: Kaiju is basically a Godzilla universe based Mafia game, with every player controlling a giant city destroying monster or giant robot or something capable of fighting them. Outside of that very simple general guideline though, I'm fairly flexible with anything as long as it relates to this theme. Start Time: Plan is to close the poll this weekend, and then try to make certain everything is balanced and ready to go by the end of the following week. Roles: Here's the standard example of a role request, shamelessly stolen from Jeod. And here's the standard blank role format to use, also stolen from Jeod. Additionally, here's a list of various roles you can use as an inspiration for your character. 22. This is going to be a simple mafia game, perfect for new players--and we have quite a few new faces recently! We'll play with an open setup with the following possible roles: Villager - No special actions. Aligned with Town. Doctor - Chooses a player to save at night. Aligned with Town. Cop - Chooses a player to investigate at night. Aligned with Town. Vanilla Mafia - No special actions. Aligned with Mafia. I'll select included roles based on player ratio. For example, for every 3 Town, there will be one Mafia. The minimum playercount therefore is 4 players, and I will accept no more than 8 players. How It Works Mafia must try to equal or exceed Town numbers via killing players at night and getting town players lynched during the day via deceptive tricks. Town must eliminate all Mafia via lynching them during the day. Day phases last 48 hours and always begin and end at 10:00PM GMT (6:00PM EDT for Americans). Night phases are similar, but only last 24 hours. During the Day Phase, players talk amongst themselves and decide on who to lynch. It is, of course, possible to spare someone from the noose by voting NoLynch (##vote Nolynch or NoLynch). Players who vote for this twice in a row will be subject to a penalty and will be forced to vote for themselves the following day. There is no early hammer in this game. At the end of the day, the player with the majority vote will be lynched. In the event of a tie, a coin toss via random.org will decide the player to be lynched. This game will start on Friday, May 1, at approximately 10PM GMT/UTC, which is the usual game start/hammer time. Game start date and time are subject to change based on signed player count and role PMs received. You can customize your role as much as you see fit, and I will do my best to honor your request. Here’s an example of a role request: The more information you include in your request, the more accurate your final role will be. Here’s a template to help guide your request, although it’s not necessary to use when sending me your PM: You can request a specific alignment, but I can’t guarantee it will be the alignment you receive. Please do not request overpowered roles! Keep game balance in mind. It’s much easier on the GM—and yourself—if you keep your role realistic for a mafia game. Mafia is a team game--if you design a carrying role, you're going to have a bad time. RETURNING FEATURES Items make for a fantastic dynamic that continue into other mafia games hosted by other GMs because of the added risk/reward factor. For example, the Death Note, an item capable of making extra kills for mafia, could end up in a town player's hands and then be used against scum. The reverse is also true. Items will be in CYOR V. As with roles, if you choose to request an item in the game, please try to keep it realistic and relatively balanced. Requests for “magic potions that instantly discover mafia” will not be honored! Remember, requesting an item is optional! Depending on the roles chosen, you may see a variant of the synergy mechanic from TheIrishMan's CYOR Supernatural Edition and iLikeToSnipe's CYOR Social Distancing Edition. SUGGESTED CHANGES If you have a suggestion for a game-wide mechanic that might add some pizazz to the game, then please share! 24. CYOR Mafia: Choose Your Own Mafia Do you have some crazy role you've been itching to play as? As usual with my games, there will be an addition to core mafia mechanics. I've had two I've been toying with for a CYOR game, and I'll let you guys decide which one we use. Or we can just do a normal CYOR game if that's your cup of tea. The below descriptions are just an overview. Based on the roles created I may need to update with more specific rules when the game starts. But they should give you a feel for what it'll be like. I'd like to get the game started by 04/05 if possible. The more players we have, the better. Just sign-up with a post here and send me a PM with three character/role ideas. You'll be using all three of those ideas this game. I'll close the poll after 2-3 days and choose what we're doing then. It seems pretty clear what you guys want, so I've updated this post with the rules for this CYOR variant Hyperlethal CYORThere will be A LOT of dying in this one. Each player will need to create multiple characters, but this gives you a chance to try out more than just one role you've been thinking of. You'll send me three roles that you want to use and I'll balance them with you. Action Usage: Players are still limited to one action per night. Mafia however will have access to their standard night kill and will be able to use it alongside their one other night action. As of right now, there is no limit to the number of day actions a player can use or how many passive ability can be in effect. A specific day action may be limited to "once per day", but that does not prevent a player from using another day action alongside it. Action Targets: By deafult, an action will randomly target one of a player's characters/roles that's still alive. It may be possible that some characters or abilities will allow targeting specific characters or drawing actions to specific characters. It's still possible for some actions, such as a vote block, to target a player when they trigger instead of a character. Player/Character Kills: You can think of each character as a "life", once you lose all three you're out of the game. In terms of kill actions, a character functions very similar to a standard mafia player. Unless they have some protective ability or a protective role is protecting them at the time, a kill action will kill them. Once killed, a character will flip with who they belong to, their name, and a short description. This short description will be mostly/entirely flavor. It's up to your wild speculation to decide if it's any indication of the character's abilities. Alignment of a player is only revealed in a flip when their last character dies. Again, it's possible that some special ability could override this behavior. This is what everyone will default to. With all this said, don't think that I won't consider any kind of "super kill" that can target a player and wipe them out. Anything is on the table here. Voting: Players still only get one vote, even though they have three characters. 25. Remember this? "Save me!" was one of the first forum games that we played here once W3D Hub was formed around 5 years ago. My, my, how the time flies! Well lets get right into it then. Its really simple, fun, and it goes like this: The OP (so me in this case) posts a description of a situation in which they are in peril, and will most certainly lose their life if there is no intervention. The next poster (which we will call P2 in this example) must then engineer a creative way (McGyver, Superheroes, The A-Team, Avengers, Donald Trump, etc) in which the previous poster will be saved from their peril. However, P2 is then also put in peril, either by the events which led to the saving of the previous poster, or by a non-related event. Return to step 2, P3 saves P2 but also falls into danger, etc, etc. The rules are these: Remain civil and follow all forum rules at all times. Some discussion is allowed, but do not derail this thread. All events must occur linearly in the same timeline/universe, and must not break the "relationship chain", otherwise the game is not as much fun. Do not attempt to break the game. Not specifically a rule, but do try to not post at the exact time as someone else. An accidental ninja-post would split the time line!! Have fun. While working in my lab to get all the wonderful APB Beta players their much needed 1080p resolution (so they don't have to use 800x600 anymore), my lab assistant @delta hears a noise outside. CRASH! A truck loaded with Coronavirus haz-mat suits crashes into the lab, killing the driver and pinning me to the wall! Save me!
