1. I have not published anything special for quite some time. So, to compensate that emptiness, here it is, a long-awaited interview with Frank Klepacki about Tiberian Sons, Red Alert, new album, and also about few other things. After release of Coded Number in Spotify (that was awesome to hear that Spotify is now in Russia too, that was a shame for us to not have that) and in other services, we had awesome conversation which was, of course, planned two years ago when we were talking about Transform and how it has come to my hands. Enjoy, boys, you are doing great games on W3D Hub engine, so keep rockin' together with Frank! >> Interview with Frank Klepacki, two days after release of his new music album Coded Number <<
2. I recorded it half a day ago, but composed even earlier. Harmonica with slap bass guitar, simple rhythm, sweet nostalgic pad and other sounds. And again, inspired by Command & Conquer Red Alert.
3. I made it not as good as I wanted... so, this remake now sounds like the first Red Alert. But I really enjoyed the process of making, this mood is kind of new for me, it was mostly changing from one piece of sound to another, I did many jumps.
4. I like to revive some of old tracks... they never die. The first version of this track was a part of D&L album which I released in 2010. So, 8 years have passed, and I made this remake: http://download.ccassault.com/museum/music/solomusic/River_Tunnel_2.mp3
5. And oh yes, it is! Roland JV-2080 included as well as a vibe from Red Alert.
6. LEAD THE TRIBE Listen on Soundcloud Download from website This is something new to hear from me while I am working on Extreme Coop. Experimental track for sure. I think, I will upload this later to YouTube too.
7. Imaginary Frontiers is my unofficial addition to Digital Frontiers, the musical solo album composed and released by Frank Klepacki in 2016, and also a little gift to him. Imaginary Frontiers has the best quality and grooves of my little studio, and it contains influence from Frank Klepacki's early works for Command & Conquer Red Alert up to his late solo works and game soundtracks. Inspired by Unreal Tournament and some chill-out and ambient songs as well. Imaginary Frontiers also partially includes original synthesis and instruments that Frank Klepacki used in his melodies. Suitable for mods and games of Command & Conquer series and not only for games, so you can use it in your projects if you want. Still making new tracks and adding them there, still exploring many ways to use Frank Klepacki's equipment and sounds. Donations are much appreciated. https://grayasdf.bandcamp.com/album/imaginary-frontiers Frank Klepacki: "I was able to hear everything. Nice. I appreciate the gesture, and I hope it continues to drive you to keep creating and improving. If you ever decide to take any music classes like theory and orchestration, a new world will open up to you."
8. https://soundcloud.com/user-193337613/sets/red-virus-ost - a soundtrack https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=908947822 - for this game While I was working on completely new tracks for Red Alert, I made these melodies for commercial videogame. So, this is my second soundtrack for commercial projects. Author said that he is not working on Red Virus anymore and switched to another matters, so I decided to release it publicly. We had an agreement to sell OST only after the game itself, but author abandoned the project at the moment, so... yeah, enjoy the sound!
9. http://download.ccassault.com/museum/music/solomusic/Motorized.mp3 I spent few full days on it... and I finally made it recently! Never did remakes of songs from C&C Red Alert 2 OST ("Destroy" from CnC 64 Memorial does not count, it was just an experiment). Still catchy, even simplified.
10. https://www.looperman.com A great source of cool royalty-free samples. This is almost infinite fun. I finished one melody today, many thanks to those samples and their creators.
11. http://download.ccassault.com/museum/music/solomusic/Meltdown.mp3 Background is nonsense. Music is... I think not =D
12. And "2080", as you may guess, is an instrument from Roland soundbank.
13. You maybe believe it, but I cannot. Roland JD-990 and JV-2080 that I bought are the dream of my arsenal of sounds. After Red Alert remakes, this is probably the best of my works. If there will be possibility to remake some of Tiberian Sun tracks... who knows! P.S.: Interesting fact, and I know it from Frank himself: some names of instruments were chosen as titles for songs for Red Alert OST. As I discovered, "Terminate" is a soundscape instrument included with standard soundbank of JV-series, from which that song starts. And so on.
14. Unusual mix made by me and inspired by two soundtracks at the same time. I was experimenting with Dune universe, and I tried to put some Red Alert style inside. Suggested as a music for "Expanse RTS" videogame. VSTi "Synapse Audio Software DUNE I" is included, as well as classic Roland sounds. Frank Klepacki, however, is using SAS DUNE II. As he said, it is more comfortable to use, and it has more sounds. https://soundcloud.com/user-193337613/insidious-night http://download.ccassault.com/museum/music/dune_st/Dune_-_Insidious_Night.mp3
15. The best orchestra and electronics mix I can offer today. I hope you enjoy it, I was composing it from scratch. I also extended it, but during the process there was some mess with rhythm, but it is okay. Also suggested this to developers of Red Sun RTS, they said it is a good soundtrack for their next videogame, Expanse RTS, and they will probably add this and other tracks from this line to their new real-time strategy game which is already on Google Play! https://soundcloud.com/user-193337613/poisoned-extended http://download.ccassault.com/museum/music/dune_st/Dune_-_Poisoned_Extended.mp3
16. The second masterpiece I made from scratch after Barren World and before the remake of Red Alert Menu Theme. Just about perfect. Almost. If only I could make it more diverse... https://soundcloud.com/user-193337613/the-sea-of-mighty-sand download.ccassault.com/museum/music/dune_st/Dune_-_The_Sea_of_Mighty_Sand.mp3 P. S.: Suggested for Expanse RTS devs too. They appreciate it.
17. Another track which is inspired by Tiberian Sun and Fallout 3. For all those listeners who love these videogames. As always, available for download. Pad which goes with industrial effects sample is directly from Tiberian Sun, by the way.
18. http://download.ccassault.com/museum/music/solomusic/Metal_Ground.mp3 After winter holidays, I was trying to make something new. As a result, I composed this simple melody and published in VKontakte as usual, but only today decided to publish it in YouTube. Inspired by one of my favourite universes which is Command & Conquer Red Alert.
19. What do you use for background noise when you're working on projects, reports, and other such mindless tasks? I'll start with the URealms Live playlist, it's basically a D&D campaign you can listen to with a few funny moments, and you won't miss much by just listening to the video. https://www.youtube.com/user/BruceWillakers/playlists?shelf_id=29&view=50&sort=dd
20. Available for free download. Inspired by, but not too close to TIberian Sun. Did a different melody this time, a little bit emotional, soft, and bright. It has a short length, but anyway, I decided to publish it
21. I have returned from summer cottage. With this. Absolutely new song for the fans of Tiberian Sun. Something like psychedelic ambient with groovebox drum machine effects. Vacation was totally worth it.
22. Since I started playing C&C when I was about 8, the soundtrack was always one of my favorite parts, although originally a lot of the music freaked me out, especially with TS. I remember the only song I could listen to without scaring myself was Valves. But anyway, my most nostalgic song is a toss up between Act on Instinct and Bigfoot. You'd think Hell March, but honestly, when I think RA, I hear Bigfoot. I'm curious what the rest of you remember as the "song that described C&C", whether it was a classic like Act on Instinct or Just Do It Up, something a bit more middle-ground like Mad Rap or Industrofunk, the FPS-oriented songs of Renegade like Ammo Clip, or even the music of the newest games like Grinder 2. Throw your faves up, and remember "KANE LIVES IN DEATH!"
23. Ok guys! We all have different tastes in music and I personally like to share when I find a song I like. This thread is intended for everyone to share what music they like for everyone else's enjoyment! I hope to be able to scroll through here and just play through everything to have some variety in the work day So here's the format: Start by listing the genre - rock, pop, whatever Next, optionally you can list the artist, album, name of the individual song, etc. Below it, insert your sound clip or video into a spoiler or hideo tag as such:
or [hideo] I request that everyone do this because threads like this tend to get very slow in a short period of time. Using spoilers and hideos helps keep this from happening. Below your spoiler, feel free to write a small synopsis of information about your selection - anything you think is worth saying about your jams. And by all means, if you want to share multiple clips/videos per post, please do! Just stick to the format : And if you want to make your multi-track post look a little more organized - you can place the genre within h4 blocks like so:
genre goes here
While discussion is good, lets not get carried away here. If need be, we'll just start a music discussion topic. I'd like this to just be for the music itself. I'll go first! Genre: 80's rock Artist: Metallica Album: Master of Puppets Song: (all of them...the whole album) This is probably my favorite Metallica album. This is the case for me because it just has a lot of their somewhat popular songs. It was released in 1986 and was their third studio album. Genre: 80's progressive rock Artist: Majesty (now known as Dream Theater) Song: The Farandole Majesty (now Dream Theater) is comprised of some very talented people. They sound good in absolutely everything they perform. The song "the farandole" is a cover of an orchestral song called Farandole by Georges Bizet. I played the piece in high school and was super happy to find a rock cover.
24. no holds barred "post your favourite X song" thread for the above genres PLEASE POST YOUR LINKS IN SPOILER TAGS SO WE DON'T KILL W3DHUB E.G.

inspired by listening to SPOR for the first time ever
