TS: Reborn August 2016 Update

Recommended Posts

But how does that effect a new release or progress on a new release?

This is like asking how going in water will make a person wet. The whole purpose of having a release standard is to release a playable and fun game. If we can't do that, why release?

You are never going to get a job in a ridiculously big game studio with the attitude of not releasing something utterly unplayable.

*Disclaimer: This is more a jab at larger studios' practice of releasing unpolished, unfinished garbage in order to meet deadlines, not at the developers behind Reborn, APB or AR.

Well i'm not gonna get into the ethics of the Mod's Team's Ability to work on Reborn and get it released ect. Yet you can't compare a huge studio of 200+ Game Designers to less than 20 people working individually on their own time on a project without getting paid.

The current public version of Reborn is playable, but the test-version lags like hell. Releasing that would be a downgrade, definitely not an upgrade to the game, sadly :|

We need to fix it first.

See, that's my language xD

That is currently on the development agenda. Units such as the Wolverine and Buggy have been bought only when players did not have enough money for something better. The current goal with these weaker units is to give them more identity. Sorting out balance, the intent is to make these units viable in both early and late game.

Silence is gold,

but silence is also maddening

translation there is probably a lot going on, and no one has the time to post an update because when they do... something just for finished and didn't make it in.

either that or they don't want to post a blog about coding as that would bore readers (except for those strange few that would froth at the mouth at l1nes 0f c0de).
