This is where I found out that they wouldn't be reduced. What did you find, Shade?

And I'd imagine he'd go with the 1/3rd dmg since he's basing his Double Battles rules off Gen 3 since there weren't any Double Battles in Gen 1 or 2.

Hmmgh, actually, considering how many moves are at something like 110 power, it seems like we are using something like Gen 5 - 7 version for them instead.

I don't understand why he didn't. He followed my two-step orders for the Dragonair/Pikachu battle.

The orders I just sent him include 13 different rules, so he might not go for that one. That said, if he doesn't want to do it, then the battle can wait.

I was hoping to see you do the rest, Retaliation! :p Not bad for your first time. I’ll do the autobattle rules Cat5 sent. As for Reflect, refer to the last battle—damage was halved. I’m not using a specific gen’s rules here.

Disable does what it says: disables the move used on the previous turn. No move used, disable fails.

Ah, well in that case it does 1/3, correct. I suspect the reason they made it that way in doubles is for balance.

The battle so far:

TURN 1:
Alakazam used Reflect!
Damage taken by team from opponent's physical attacks is halved for 5 turns!
Scyther used Slash on Magnemite!
A critical hit!
Magnemite took 8 DMG (17 HP left)! **Reflect halves by 1/3**
Magnemite used Thunder Wave on Snorlax!
Snorlax is Paralyzed! It may be unable to move!
Snorlax is paralyzed! It can't move!

TURN 2:
Alakazam used Disable on Snorlax!
But it failed!
Scyther used Double Team! Foe's accuracy was lowered by 25%!
Magnemite used Thunder Wave!
Scyther is paralyzed! It may be unable to move!
Snorlax used Seismic Toss on Magnemite!
Magnemite took 27 DMG (0 HP left)! **Seismic Toss ignores moves like Reflect**
Magnemite fainted!
