The title is my error message I get.

Windows 10 (fully updated)
Ryzen 5 1600x
8gb RAM
AMD RX6600
DX12 is installed and up to date along with graphics drivers
From another article I was reading, I set every .exe file in the Renegade folder to run with admin privileges.

Not sure what else to do here. Maybe just uninstall and reinstall the whole thing? The only thing I didn't do on the desktop that I did on the laptop was open the game in W3D before downloading the Scripts 4.8. Can't remember if the laptop opened it though.

Game was installed via the old disc I've had forever. I also have it installed on my laptop (Windows 11) without issue. Everything launches as expected on my laptop. The program is not putting a crash log, but I did grab one from Task Manager, if that's at all helpful.

That message indicates that the game has crashed.

Could you please send the latest crash dump file ending in -n1 from your debug folder at %UserProfile%\Documents\Renegade\Client\debug (hit Win+R and paste it in there) so that we can have a look at it? (You may need to zip the file first if it's too large)
In addition, when exactly are you getting this message and are there any exact steps to reproduce?

As I said, there's no crash log. Just the one from Task Manager.

It happens every time I open the game.. Doesn't matter how I open the game, it will always do it. It'll sit and think about it for about 10sec, then crash g with the error. If I watch it in Task Manager, it'll launch game2.exe, it'll switch to not responding after a few seconds, then the error message pops up.
