I think they appear and replace units on the purchase menu by holding alt. I used them on an online server once and almost felt like people were staring at me...
Yeah we know that, but if we use the sidebar system like A Path Beyond, wemay not have enough menus to accommodate extra units.

Q: When are you releasing the game?
A: We haven't set a release date yet, but we are working constantly. Keep reading the blogs to see how we are progressing.
Q: Will the SEAL be able to swim?
A: Not in the first release, but when Tanya and naval units are introduced, then it shall be included. SEAL swimming movement will be different to the sub, it would look terrible to convert him to a VTOL.
Q: Will the chrono miner be able to chrono shift?
A: Yes, danpaul88 has worked out the time shift coding, it's working properly.
Q: Will naval units be seen in the first release?
A: No.
Q: Will Crazy Ivan get any weapons other than his timed bombs?
A: Yes, we're giving ivan a revolver, a combat knife and two types of timed bombs.
Q: Will there be dogs?
A: Not in the first release, but they will be in eventually.
Q: How will the IFV work?
A: The IFV switches turrets just like it did in RA2 but unlike in RA2 you are able to switch back to the rocket turret without getting out. We've defined a deploy key for functions such as this.
Q: Will the GI be able to deploy?
A: Yes the GI can deploy and while deployed he can use his heavy machine gun.
Q: Will engineers be able to capture structures?
A: There are tech structures such as oil derricks around the map that engineers are able to capture but for the sake of balance you wont be able to capture enemy structures.
Q: Will the conscript/GI be the starting infantry class?
A: Yes.
Q: Will it be possible to garrison buildings?
A: Yes, we have a few systems to do this, we have not yet decided which system we will use.
Q: Will tesla troopers be able to power up tesla coils?
A: Tesla troopers can supercharge and even power-up tesla coils when the base power is offline.
Q: Will prism towers fire between each other in maps with more than one prism tower?
A: Yes, the combined light beam from multiple towers also does more damage.
Q: Will there be yuri?
A: Army - No, Soviet infantry - Yes

you're all wrong, OWA does it the wrong way round.
As for tracers, you can only have one model per projectile. So it's tracers on every shot or not at all.

Cel shading would be optional, if we ever implement it anyway..
So it dosnt really count seeing as you can choose to use it or not and that it's just a style change rather than moving away from RA2.

To whoever said we're going like reborn:
Everything we've put in so far has had some basis in RA2, wether from concept art or from the game.
Techies = in RA2 FMV and you command them in one allied mission.
Rocketeer Grenade Launcher = Concept art.
Powder Bomb = OWA showed the pic for that
Ivan Knife = Concept art.

I agree. I also prefered the second place logo, but I suppose that just a matter of opinion.
it's been voted on by the staff so that is the primary logo for AR.
However the top 5 will get released as alternate icons, you'll have to set them up yourselves though.

Love the Flak Track skins, but I am still going to say (for the third time I think) that I dislike the use of "remap" on the models. It is not becoming of a FPS game.
It's the style we've decided to make AR, if you dont like it then by all means feel free to edit the skins once we've released it.
We just feel that RA2 was over the top cartoony, kind of cheesy and fun, we're trying to capture that in the artwork, we're really not trying to make a realistic FPS shooter here.
Hell you havnt even seen anything in the cartoony lighting that saberhawk made for us before he left.

Jesus Christ man, look at APB is anything the same damage wise? No. It's balanced for FPS gameplay, nothing is final yet, hell nothing is even released yet. Everything will work out and be balanced right, give the fuckin team some credit and a chance here.
Always nice to be defended by fans
When we're happy with the artwork everything will be tested exstensivly by the testers until we and they're happy that the game's balanced and all the bugs have been ironed out.

If you ask me the whole mod needs to be modified. True, a few GIs could just take out a whole base in one minute and V3s get promoted too easily. And what is going to be the difference between an engineer and a technician, can V3s be shot before they hit the ground?
Everybody talking about buildings being blown up in a few seconds was talking about RA2 not the mod.
Engineers repair faster than technicians and they can capture buildings where as technicians cant.

also it's important to note that EVERYTHING will receive a significant damage reduction compared to RA2. You cant rebuild your buildings anymore so haveing it so that a simple IFV can take down a soviet tesla reactor with ease would be very bad for gameplay.

And before i learnt not to pick stupidly annoying music >_>
Since i've made a fully functioning zelda ripoff, that i'll post sometime.

Hot blog...well sorta... Anyway those V3 are really awsome, even tho i don't know what the different camos are for, it is not like you cant see that huge rocket at night or afar or something, those things are a dead giveaway, well maybe it will hide the v3 at snowy maps better.
The robot tanks are really awsome, i wonder if they can be stollen when an enemy takes control of it because the controller was killed... Waiting anxiously for the arrival of this game.
It's RA2, it dosnt have to make sense

i dont know about that kakashi, with the AR and APB testers combined we have quite a large testing force.

good, because u arnt getting it till the team and the testers agree that it's perfectly balanced
