Nightkills are often considered a faction action, and not listed as an ability. So, in the case that TheIrishman actually has an ability cop role, and he checked a theoretically vanilla scum Chopbam, that would give the same report as a vanilla town Chopbam.
The purpose of his item could suddenly change context as well, because he might investigate a vanilla and detect the items they are carrying. I'm actually sorta starting to see how this could work.

Seeing that a vanilla scum might exist, given Jeod's
threetwo items, that would seem to hamper the usefulness of an ability cop for town. Granted, seeing that my ability, if used correctly, is also a way to verify people as town, could be an ok pairing of weak abilities.0 -

Which item did you claim bypasses a block?

Could be a natural part of his role, or used just in case. If he has an item or ability to counter Louis's role, why save it for after killing her?

If Retal was scum, and could bypass my roleblock, he still wouldn't have been able to bypass my shield.
Which fits the result perfectly. Just saying he cannot be totally ruled out, when he's the only player who didn't really contribute to catching Jeod and didn't vote at all.

Ok, wow, this is not the direction I thought I was going to go today. But I need to sleep on this.

Jeod's primary attribute was the three items he had, each one when activated would should allow him to counter an ability, since each one has to give him a limited passive.
And Jeod said he attempted to pass one, and low and behold he has two items. He was never jailed, so it was passed. Is this what he was hiding?

I'm not sure I buy that FRAYDO is a real suspect. I mean I know I'm saying never entirely rule out anyone, but I think FRAYDO did the best case work, and is almost as clear town as Louis is.
Though if there were actually three scum to start, not two, I think I could believe it.

Shade suggested Jeod had three items, but we were told he had two. Did Jeod actually have three items?

And now I'll be off, so make Irishman speak up more or something.
Yeah, I tried bitching at him at work to post more. He's busy being sociable or some boring bullshit.

Here's a relevant post about your reaction to Jeod's claims that does support my theory.
In what world does a scum member trying to get himself lynched over a town player make sense? To distance himself from the scum member that he leaves alone? At the beginning of the game before anyone has died? It as least makes sense if TheIrishman is scum as well.

To get himself lynched perhaps, to avoid someone asking the question I'm basically asking now.
I always love your logic. He did it to avoid the causing the thing that he caused.

@ Category 5 Hurricane , a likely scenario is you're a second jailer because of your ability, and jailed Irish also.
That would necessitate, either you outing yourself as a secondary jailer, or claiming to have redirected Louis's jail action to Irish to hide the fact that two players had really been jailed that night.
And if that really happened, then why did Jeod continue to say he was jailed?

Hugh, nevermind, I can entertain Louis being mafia then...
Fairly easily then, Louis role blocks Jeod by targeting Irish.
Sure, but we know TheIrishman was blocked, and because of Louis being presumed scum in this scenario, he would be town and not lying. There would have to be an alternate explanation for this to fit. Still not impossible, but requires a second unclaimed jailor. This second unclaimed jailor would be presumably town as well, and probably should be viewing Louis with suspicion.
No, I think the only way this works, is if Jeod was stopped from killing because of my swap, assumed he was actually blocked by Louis somehow, and suggested he be dumped for town cred.

This part here of the OP.
I guess I was going to counter that you don't even know it was really an item, but I don't really want to dig in to whether Louis is killable or not.

How do you know it can only be used once?

It's mainly used for shields, space travel, anti-gravity fields...
You said that TheIrishman's item detects things that could be used for Shields? Like what may have happened with Louis?

I kinda washed over this claim of an item from TheIrishman because of how it couldn't be proven to exist. Let me take a closer look at it.

How do you know anything about what Chopbam can and can't do?

Just now, Shade939 said:
Mostly how Irish stating Chopbam is Town must be true, since Chopbam shouldn't be capable of fooling Irish's action based on the extra item used.
What makes you sure the extra item exists or that TheIrishman did what he said?

The technology scramble, somebody with an actual ability can figure out if it counters it or not.
So you don't know what this does?

Irish must be telling the truth if there is one Scum role in game. He even used his starting item to make full use of his ability. Jeod's primary attribute was the three items he had, each one when activated would should allow him to counter an ability, since each one has to give him a limited passive.
I have no idea what you are talking about with regards to this.

Here is Jeod's role and his listed items, two items for two abilities, not three as I said earlier.
You can actually figure out quite a few things about what Town roles are in game by comparing the role that is meant to counter them.
Why don't you tell me what they are, then?
