There's a passive you get when you acquire the Death Note, and you keep it even if you pass it on. It's a "contract" stating you can't talk about the Death Note, under pain of Death. Beyond that, you can pass it or open it (or both the same night, apparently). If you don't open, you MUST pass. Holding onto it gives a doc with the shinigami (Verti, apparently). Opening it also gives you more rules, which I don't have access to, because I haven't opened it yet. It says you can write a name to die and the reason. If no reason is given they just simply die the next day.

Actually that's false. Anyone but me is sworn to silence on the Death Note under penalty of GM kill. Only reason I can talk about it is because that's a curse, and I'm curseproof.

You can write down kills in advance, though, or at least you could in the other game. I haven't opened it yet so I don't know. It specifically says it's unstoppable though, so the target can't be protected as well. Because I was awesome in the other Death Note game, obviously.

I don't mean your action would be in vain. I mean if you had the Death Note, you might have been able to kill KY even if *I* blocked you.

Like I said, I think the Death Note is unblockable, maybe untraceable, and MAYBE used and passed the same night.

I also have reason to believe kills can happen while being blocked/there's a killing TP out there. As for my identity, yes I've claimed, so I'll repeat it, I'm Dr. Alistair Grout, but I also have reason to believe getting our "true names" out there is very bad.
