What make a true C&C game is a game that holds itself true to what C&C means. Building structures from a general Construction Yard and resources to be collected into a "refinery".

RA3's Ore fields felt a bit meh in my eyes personally. At best what C&C 3 has can be seen as the most desired route, although some prefer the route that RA2/TibSun have, however modernization is a thing and C&C 3 definetly is a great game on it's own and stayed true to C&C's core.

RA3 overdid it with slapping abilities on every single unit in the game and kinda overdid it with the theme. Yes the Red Alert series were the colorful ones of the two universes (not counting the Generals universe here cause it was only one game and an expansion and it does feel out of touch with C&C, maybe due to there only being one game in the series), however RA3 overdid that by looking very cartoonish. Building deaths looked just as if you threw a rock at a badly built LEGO home.

The part with the abilities just felt like they tried to compete with StarCraft, which was a pretty bad attempt imo. It doesn't fit C&C and probably never will.

You hit it on the nail with a hammer, bro.

Somehow, all this time, SammyD has been an 11 year old kid.

He was an 11 year old kid when APB started, and he is an 11 year old kid now.

    SammyD is an ageless phenomenon.

    God bless you Sammy.

The message has actually been edited. Imagine that.

Nice punctuation, definitely makes reading comprehension a lot easier. Thank you for that.

I haven't played Rivals, I do not intend to either since mobile games are not my thing. Phones are for calling people, for everything else I use my PC. #OldPeople?

But if you compare TA to Rivals on paper then out of two shallow games there can only be one "winner", and TA would currently win this simply based on still having some actual strategy components - which of course got mostly trimmed down to make monetization work, but oh well. Oh, and Rivals has gambling boxes. Fuck gambling boxes.

Actually, YES EA ADD GAMBLING BOXES! The more the better; Add enough and your game is triggering new EU laws against this predatory practice. I would not weep if they were not allowed to launch this pile of cash grabbing horse shit in the EU.

So you're assuming TA is better while not having played it. Me, I can imagine very few game worse than TA. But I don't know, EA never fails to surprise.

Tiberium Alliances, for what it was during beta, was actually fun for a browser game. Until the game got close to launch, where a series of patched slowed down the late gameplay to 'a few clicks a day' to make room for monetization schemes, then it just became terrible.

When it was fast paced you constantly needed to keep an eye on your bases, making it the perfect game to hang on a browser tab while you did other things, you always had to keep an eye on it so you could react to a hostile player or base creeper. And I dare say that it had more strategy involved than Rivals does.

Please say it's at least better than that piece of shit

I wouldn't say purposely being inactive is "bad", it can just be a bit unfair. If most of town is inactive along with scum then town is pretty much left to pick at random. In a game of deduction that can be frustrating for town players.

Also, it's normally not that bad when you have a counter. It's just worse when that counter is killed N1. :v

    Fair enough. ;o

Yeah, I don't mean you. I wasn't exactly active myself. I'm talking about the two who were lurking around the thread while pretending they weren't.

    1) I don't see how that's somehow "immoral" or "unfair".

    2) I only really did that once, near the end of the game. I was genuinely AFK for a lot of the game.

I posted mine during the last day phase, when asking others to do the same, and it is unchanged. Well, other than removing ChopBam from the list.

I cleared irish since then, though. Surely it would make more sense to put cleared towns higher up than the cop itself.

I stopped making fake reports when I claimed Oracle. Didn't seem to be much point in continuing the fake claims when scum would know to disregard them, and it might just confuse the rest of town.

Holy shit, how the fuck did I miss that... No one CC'ed you either...

    Lemme revise the list then

    iLTS – shade – mojo – nodlied – cat 5 – irish

  10. Category 5 - seems townish enough, pushes creative ideas to help town

    Shade939 - I can’t really get a good read on him.

iLikeToSnipe - likely scum, pushed lynch on fraydo, unlikely miller imo

Nodlied – seems towny, contributes to discussions

Mojoman – short posts, but I haven’t detected any scum tells, if I’d have to guess: town

    TheIrishMan - cleared town

    in order:

    iLTS – shade – mojo – cat 5 – nodlied – irish

Which means it’s gotta be 2 out of 4 mafia on nodlied, cat 5, mojo and shade. Provided iLTS is not miller. Also I wanna point out that shade, irish and mojo went along with the fraydo train. Now that clearly doesn’t make them mafia (I cleared irish ffs), but it is something I wanted to mention.

Come on man, you could complete the argument for an Inferno/Mojoman/TheIrishman scum team with just two sentences. I can make a scenario where such a team makes sense. Prove you have a town mindset and tell me how it would make sense!

Just out of curiosity, can you tell me why you stopped posting cop reports starting D2?

  12. 23 minutes ago, iLikeToSnipe said:

What I'm wondering is why you think FRAYDO was obvious town. Unlike Cat5 or Nodlied who claimed they didn't see anything scummy with FRAYDO on D1 or D2 you claimed that you thought he was scummy on D1. Plus, you never really did anything to defend him. So, what is your reasoning?

Like I said, he provided a full report of his suspicions of all players.

6 minutes ago, Category 5 Hurricane said:

I'll repeat that I want to see a full suspect list from everybody, from most suspicious to least.

    Including reasoning, I assume?

  13. 6 minutes ago, iLikeToSnipe said:

Could you explain why you personally thought FRAYDO was obvious town?

Looking at one of your only D2 posts, you did admit that you saw FRAYDO as scummy on D1 and then you thought he was town for contributing (something I've been doing a lot). Why the double standard? It's not scummy to see me as scum, but it's scummy to pick and choose when you use certain logic.

How about you give me a detailed report on what you think of everyone that is still alive. Then I might reconsider.

Just had a thought, we're probably going to want to pick somebody to lynch within 12 - 16 hours. At LYLO we need all hands on deck to keep it from potentially being a 3v3 tie with scum on who to lynch.

Now you're acting town. I like.
