  1. I know how to create the Refinery building controller, the car marker, and all the proper way points for Harvesting. I've made two maps prior to the one I am currently working on, so I know the process, but I am having a HUGE issue with my current map. My Harvesters just don't work. Sometimes when they are created at the War Factory/Strip, they don't move. I usually redo my map and make a new mix file and that is usually solved, but the issue I am running into here is... They are made from the War Factory/Strip, they go out to the Tiberium Field...Harvest...then travel back the Refinery. They pull up in the bay and then, NOTHING. They never leave that spot again. I've tried bumping then and forcing them out, but nothing. They just stop all together, and I've done everything from replacing the controller, the car marker, new way points, path find blockers. I'm at my wits end. I'm going to recreate it again and make a video of it. Hopefully someone can help me. This has plagued me for a few years now, and before I took my break from Renegade, this was and still is my most pressing issue. Any ideas?
  2. Good news, after using dp88_ai_turret rather than the RA_Simple_Defense, my Turrets, Guard Towers, Ceiling Guns, and custom secondary defenses ALL work now! I assume that since I am using this script, and it works, that I am updated to the most recent version of scripts.dll, right? How would I know, or how can I find out? The next script to employ will be for my repair pads. dblaney said he would get back to me on that. No rush.
  3. Will do! I do have some screen shot tutorials I made for myself at home, I remember the one I made for ladders, don't know if that would be of any use. PS: I like your comment from Nyerguds in your signature! haha
  4. Thanks dblaney, you're the man. I know many people think Renegade is dying, and maybe it is, but I enjoy designing maps, always have for C&C games. I want to be able to remember how to do this in the future, so I'm writing all this stuff down and making printouts since many of the old tutorials and sites are diminishing.
  5. @dblaney1 I found all those scripts you mentioned above, so I would assume I'm using the most current version of LE. Would would be an appropriate script for regular turrets/GTs, and regular repair pads, and regular silos? IE, not capturable.

  7. I have a few questions regard a few scripts in LE for Renegade. I want to apologize ahead of time for some of these questions, as I only worked with these scripts once maybe twice, and then took a 3 year hiatus, and I pretty much don't remember anything about them at all anymore. Here it goes... I have a repair pad in C&C Ridgeline (b8) that doesn't work. I fired up LE to take a look and there is no script selected there. That's the problem, right? No. The OTHER repair pad works just fine, as well as the scripts for the beacon zone, and defenses (turrets & GTs), and capturable silos, but the odd thing is, even though those structures work, they ALSO don't have any scripts selected in LE, which I think is just weird. I'm not sure if I have a wrong version of LE, or what. I also remember seeing the options for scripts named something like... z_base_defense_something something. I don't see ANY scripts with z in the front, which I remember those. What am I missing here? And what options for scripts would be the best choice for defenses, repair pads & silos?

  9. @ChopBam A few variations of my name, AnnexTrunks, BmTrunks, [TD]Trunks, etc. I've preferred fan maps when possible, so I didn't stay on WW for too long. @Jeod You're right, but the last time I played APB was when it was 1st launched, and Volkovs shot those weird tank shells with Ramjets, and I think they jumped funny if I remember, but yes, MPF from about '12 to '14. @FRAYDO Player, moderator, and dev yes. Good to see you too mate! @moonsense715 The main reason I joined is because of those old tutorials. I'm glad you saved them too, I spent yesterday copying and saving them all myself. I'd love to develop more, but my time is limited. I'll keep your offer in mind though
  10. Nope, been trunkskgb in Renegade since beta. I've used other variations over the years, but most of the time it was when I was in a clan/guild.

  12. Hello everyone, Long time C&C Renegade and other C&C games player, and former developer here. It's nice to see some familiar faces around here. I'm glad I found this place. I recently got back into gaming and development, and I'm trying to piece together my maps that I left unfinished from a few years ago. I've been looking all over the web and anywhere I knew from before for Renegade development tutorials to refresh myself, but I've found nothing. It seems a lot of those old tutorials, and even some new ones are available here. I'm working on a tutorial for Renegade mapping myself so I don't forget how to do this down the line. I'll be visiting this place often for tutorials!
