carnagehunts
I've tried even installing it into the renegade game folder to see if that has any effect but the launcher doesn't want to get passed the error reporting step. I have it even excluded from AV and I verified in task manager the program W3D is read but as soon as it goes into process it crashes within 1 second. I would post an error document but since the launcher doesn't reach the main menu it doesn't create the documents folder.
carnagehunts
Today tried to see if it had anything to do with the hosts file and no didn't work either. Windows 10 build 2004 all up to date. Can anyone help out? Want to play but can't use the launcher. Is there an alternative?
danpaul88
Can you check if anything is recorded in the windows event viewer? It sounds like the launcher is crashing on your machine for some unknown reason but I've no idea why that would be.

carnagehunts
Thanks Dan tried a suggestion you told someone about creating the local appdata folder. w3d hub/launcher in user appdata local section.

RareKiwi
Manually making the folders %localappdata%/w3d hub/launcher fixed it for me
