Today I bought a renegade in the Ea App. I downloaded renegade and wanted to play multiplayer. I installed the patch Tiberian Technologies 4.8.3 and the W3d hub launcher. The first time I managed to log into Renegade, I played on the server, but when I tried to log into Renegade a second time through the W3d hub, the error "Failed to connect to backend.

An error occured whilst trying to connect to the W3d Hub backend API.

This may result in parts of the launcher not working correctly" What to do? I didn't use any other scripts except TT and add-ons. Computer Model: N5 Of. The operating system is Windows 10, Ryzen 5 5600 processor, Msi Geforce Rtx 3050 graphics card, 32 GB of RAM, SSD, 1 terabyte disk space is enough. I don't use antivirus at all, and also when I try to log into Renegade without w3d hub, Tiberian Technologies gives an error: "The update program failed to request the latest version from the server"

I have a good Wi-Fi adapter and internet speed. I tried wifi and internet cable and even tried to go to the Google 8.8.8.8 DNS server, but it didn't help. Then I turned off Windows protection, it helped, but then my WiFi disappeared everywhere. After a while, I canceled the connection to DNS 8. 8. 8. 8 and the wifi started working. And then I was able to log into the W3d hub, but all the servers had a red connection, and when I tried to log into the Marathon server online, 23 people wrote to me that I was banned, although this was the first time I had done anything illegal on this server.IMG_20241114_005122.jpg

Being unable to connect both to Tiberian Technologies and W3D Hub services highly indicate an issue on your end. Given you can visit both Tiberian Technologies and W3D Hub's websites, it might be an anti-virus blocking network activity.

That error can indicate several things:

  • Your drive is full
  • Your network connection is unstable and a package was corrupted as a result
  • Something else caused a package to get corrupted during the download

Luckily it is not difficult to delete the download cache and restart the download. Go to: C:\ProgramData\W3D Hub\Launcher\package-cache\games and delete the folder corresponding to the game that is failing to download (so the "ia" folder in this case). You can also sometimes look and see which specific package has failed and only delete that, which will make it only re-download the one(s) it needs.
