Yeah, I didn't have enough personal provisions for my army and couldn't do much of anything about it. I did manage to get enough funds into the royal coffers that will enable me to build the Granary next. Too little too late, probably, but alas, there is no divine pulse here.

We can't feed either, the only thing sending us troops will do is get them killed. They'll be killed either way though, however if Verti resolves attacks before starvation they could help. But that's about it.

I should be able to feed a large number of troops with my capital passive ability. So before they die and join the other side you might as well send them over.

  2. Looks like the Army of the dead launched a test attack with 100 troops on the wall. In case anyone plans an attack on their holding the "Land of Always Winter", bring something burning or Obsidian. Some Mormont children should be useful as well. ;)

Was there more losses from starvation at the wall?

Orange or Category 5, what happened to some of your personal troops last night?

What do you have that suggests something moved to Pyke?

    ##vote Pyke

Shall we find out what is there? It is supposed to be empty.

Orange is claiming he didn't do that. Do you know for certain?

I currently plan to keep Dragonstone.

I can move troops around freely between all holdings and the wall, so voting a Royal Holding is just a waste of time.

It was a mere question if Orange moved troops to Pyke. With the resurrection of 500 troops he doubled his army size to maybe man another holding? Although the Three Eyed Raven gives us the ability to access a ton of information, there can be some loose ends.

If Pyke is empty then it can only be independent, right? How did the kingdom lost control over it? Is it more likely that it is now one of the personal holdings of the king or his hand?

We could vote Pyke I guess, but actually I think @Retaliation should have the deciding vote. If they need and can afford more troops up there we should provide them and don't vote empty holdings.

But yeah, given that we have no way to attack the white walker army, they could just sit there and do nothing and wait for us to starve out. I don't really think this game is worth playing.

I think its pretty straight forward what has to happen from here. We probably won't win a head on fight or any battle relying on troops by common means. If we try to sit it out we die from starvation.

As it says in the day post, we must find a way to defeat them. Any suggestions?

  5. A few questions to confirm some numbers:

The Night's Watch lost 4.950 troops last night? How much provisions would you have needed to keep them?

Orange used 50 provisions to resurrect 500 troops and moved some to Pyke?

The royal holdings all have a garrison requirement of 25% making 6.196 the highest amount of troops able to be sent to the wall?

I did my best to work with the options in your absence the final few hours of the day. As promised, if Orange attempts to attack you directly, I will advocate for his removal. With Shade out of the picture, however, perhaps we can make more progress the next day by discussing tactics. As for tonight, I haven't heard from Louis yet but I will be burning 2,500 bodies out of the 33,235 we have piled up. If @OrangeP47 wants to revive more, it'd be helpful.

The resources to do that might be more useful at the wall. It costs Orange 220 FP and 100 provisions to resurrect 1.000 troops, my guess is that the Night's Watch can get better odds out of that.

@Retaliation and @rubeci, you will both need to send a night action to approve the negotiation. Remember to do so.

I will accept the offer even though I am not happy with those new out of nowhere terms and the hidden agenda they imply. There will be no retaliation for Shade although Dragonstone will be reclaimed by the Free Folk. No more attacks (especially on Riverrun) even though my information tells me that due to the losses last night even King's Landing is within reach now.

As we said time and time again, it is about survival for the Free Folk. As long as @OrangeP47 kept threatening that there was reason to react accordingly. He did not stop it but the voting and other mechanics changed and there are way more threatening options now. In short, there is nothing more to gain for the Free Folk from a fight (besides adding another 5-figure amount of bodies to take you down with us ;)).

I was true to my word the whole time and now it is for Category5/Orange/Jeod to follow suit.

Side note: It is in your hands now, don't blame someone else If acting in self-interest only gets everyone killed. :p

The armies can be a simple one person affair, but unless the person sending the army is also the one using attacks that lower my provisions or morale, then there's two people.

    Resources running low:

Winter is here and we are running out of food. Provision income remains the same, but your armies eat more than is produced and deplete your stocks every night (the upkeep is 1 provision per 50 units). If you run low on Provisions, your morale will decrease (down to 25% max). If you run out of Provisions, your armies will start to starve and deplete as well until your upkeep is 0.

Did you lose any existing provisions or is the income lowered?

If its income I'm pretty sure that it is due to the upkeep from winter.

  9. 10 minutes ago, OrangeP47 said:

Uh huh. And both nights the attacks have been two pronged, IE, actual battle with troops, and another special effect on me attacking morale/provisions etc.  That seems like coordination :p

    7 minutes ago, Jeod said:

Do feel free to explain yourself what happened last night then.

I think I can confirm that you were not "two-pronged" by multiple armies on the last nights.

Within the Free Folk alliance there might be decisions not everybody agrees on but still has to support them passively due to allegiance.

I do not fault Rubeci for wanting to get into the kingdom. Knowing what kind of threat is coming, him getting into the kingdom must be essential to his survival. I will not stop him from doing so, so long as he and his allies do not continue to attack loyal forces. I will forgive his prior attack on OrangeP47, but I will not forgive another. I expect loyal houses to respond in kind.

I do have a problem with the players he has allied with. Shade and Louis represent the original rebellion and I am not so quick to forgive them for their actions. Louis needed to be sent to the wall because she had direct access to the royal army and could see exactly how many troops I had stationed on any holding. I think you can understand why having Louis, who had demonstrated to me that she had direct contact with Shade and was still working with him, presented a royal security risk and could not be allowed to continue.

I would prefer to destroy Louis where she stands, which I certainly could do. I would prefer to allow Orange to destroy Shade, which he certainly could do. Removing the original rebellion would be quite satisfactory. But the thing that stops me is that I'm certain any losses taken in said battles would just add to the threat that follows.

We need to unite against this coming threat. For that, despite the fact that you did not agree to the deal, I will still enforce the ultimatum that I promised before I got surprised by winning this vote.

I am glad that there is some proof that kind of confirms the existence of the anticipated TP and the threat it proposes.

As you acknowledge and as I have said all along, survival south of the wall is the main priority for the Free Folk (maybe the only one).

Who joined the rebellion deliberately or was forced too should not concern us anymore. To put it straight, my vote overthrew Jeod as well as any from the former rebels.

I understand your reasoning to distrust Louis. Sending her to the wall could be a fair compromise I guess (even though almost everyone was surprised by the vote). But please understand that some see a risk in Orange, which is additionally also a way higher individual one. So there is nothing to forgive but rather to comprise on.

That said, as it concerns my limited range of influence, I would want to support that unity.
