Main base buildings wont build up from nothing, the main part of the building will be more or less intact and kind of like the renegade destroyed buildings. But the outside parts that arnt used in the internals at all will be very badly damaged. And in normal mode you will only be able to rebuild minor base defences.

you die

welll, they were solid Red or blue in RA2, and we're looking to make AR have the same style as RA2, so making them obnoxious and over the top and a little unbelieveable is all part of the process ^_^

acctually thanks to nameme's vast level edit knowledge we'll have multiple death animations for each unit. So sometime your grizzly will just blow up, other times the turret will blow off and then the tank will blow up, and other times it'll do a backflip then blowup (that's just an example, we havnt decided on what death animations we'll have yet)

it's a 2 row alphabetical keyboard, you barely ever see them any more but they do exist.
-
yes that's right, the MCT is being axed.
-
anti-tank explosives suck v buildings.
-
terrorists carry their bombs in their hands.
-
it's a laptop disguised as a tool kit. It repairs buildings by activateing the Construction yards repair functions.
-
just read your site, structures will be captureable, just not enemy base buildings.

there is MOAR MATRIX code, there's matrix code and static ingame it's just kind of hard to render animated textures when they've been applied in RenX lol that pic is so awesome
-
you should probably note that the case dosnt look as bad as it does in the second image, that was caused by a bad normal map that i've now fixed.

It's time for the blog, and this time OWA's AWOL and it falls to me to do the blog. Ninjaedit by OWA: Check down for my own little section which I have just added. <h3>Tesla Glove</h3> First up we've got the tesla glove from poggle. (Click the images to get a bigger picture) The tesla glove will ofcourse be used by the tesla trooper. Note: the spikes may not be staying <h3>Soviet Construction Arms and Returns</h3> <embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src=" http://i91.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid91.photobucket.com/albums/k301/Zion250/SovWFArmAnimAR.flv"></embed> This animation has been added to the soviet warfactory internals by The Merovingian, who has now returned to us after having serious computer problems, expect work from him once again. (That means new building internals and animations.) <h3>OWA is here, why did you think he wasn't? </h3> Ok, time to pull some stuff out from under my massively sized E-hat and large E-sleeves. Poggel has completed the first WIP of the basic Allied Pistol with all the cartoon chunkyness that it should have to fit the larger than life style of RA2. Click here to view :> dtrngd has been working more on his map, Little Big Lake. It is turning out to be quite a nice little map which feels very RA2 in style so far. Even more so when we get our assets in BogdanV has been working on some new experimental stuff and has now come up with something very innovative for the w3d engine. Seagulls. That's right we can now have seagulls and other birds flying around our maps. This will increase the atmosphere level of the mod even more as you immerse yourself not only in a good game, but in a whole new world styled from RA2. Check out the video below. <embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src=" http://i25.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid25.photobucket.com/albums/c68/A_Renegade_2_mod/Seabirds.flv"></embed> The_Aces_Of_Razgriz has been working on a new banner which is looking incredibly awesome. You shan't be dissapointed. cfehunter has been working on a new forum skin to accompany the banner, so we can finally establish our full presence here. The theme is basically a remake of the classic AR forum theme (from Equinox Games/Blazemods) with new RA2-themed icons etc which look totally awesome so far. Watch this space. We have been busy busy busy rigging up stuff for APB's latest release. You'd all be fools to miss it A big disaster happened to our Grizzly Tank model and texture forcing us to reunwrap and texture it. However, never fear, Soviet_Deso is here! so the texture will be renewed and restored. I'm recieving key files this weekend so expect a media blitz next wednesday Thats all for now since it is pretty late here. See you next week. <h3>Help Wanted</h3> At this point in time we have enough staff to finish the mod, however it would greatly increase progress speed if we got a talented character modeler on the team. So if you're good at modeling people in 3dsMax and want to help the mod, contact me via E-Mail or MSN <h3>That's your lot</h3> That's all for this week folks, same time next week!

ok then, it's because i said so >_> besides that cover story was decided on before the mod was even called Apocalypse Rising
-
ok here's the (terrible) cover story: The mod is set at the time just before yuri left the soviet union, all the new units have just been put into field testing and the yuri clones are still part of the soviet union. The allies still have robot tanks because even tho yuri isnt his own army yet, soviet psychic forces are still a big threat.
-
Yuri's team is going to be an extra if we really feel like doing it, and there's 0% chance of it being in release 1
-
lol @ pic. Thanks for the comments about the grizzly. It's still open to editing if anybody sees anything that they'd like changed >.< nothing too major.
-
thanks ^_^ now i can finally got to sleep.

veterancy is going to work like this: You get a veterancy point total from killing/doing damage to things. you get points for doing a percentage of damage to a unit. Each unit is worth diffrent points, say a dog is worth 5 and an apoc is worth 40. Also promoted units will be worth more, a normal apoc is worth 40 and an elite apoc is worth 75. (just an example) each unit needs diffrent points to reach diffrent levels of promotion. I.E: GI Needs 25 points to reach elite Tanya needs 200 points to reach elite And when you get into a veichle it gets promoted depending on your points, but the same applies for them to, if you're an elite GI you wont be able to get into a prism tank and have it become elite, that would be unfair. However, the IFV as it does fire your infantry units weapon, will be a special case. The battle fortress, will have to be tested, we dont know if the veterancy of the unit will depend on the driver or the individual gunners yet.

I'm tired, so i made a little mistake. yeah the juggernaut/tick tank/ whatever the heck else.
-
in response to OWA: We have to have some form of animation as the chopper goes down or it'll look like it's just falling, wether it's the blades slowing or something like that we'll decide later. For now i'm just saying we need one. Also if we can possibly avoid it i wont have you having to get out of a veichle to deploy it. And as seen with the reborn juggernaut we can definatly make it deploy without you having to get out.
