Actually you know I was considering setting it up so that base defenses randomly go offline as you kill more and more power plants (randomly assigning each base defense to a power plant), but that depends on whether the team intends to have more than one pp per map, and maps with only one pp would still have all base defenses relying on a single power plant...

MP5 on burst? Seem's a bit odd to me. Aside from that, I didn't notice a huge change in veterancy besides health and armor, maybe a slight damage/rate of fire increase that was almost impossible to see. This planned like that (to avoid being too ueber) or is it just not fine tuned/properly done yet?
It is hard to notice in the video, but the ROF at elite level is improved quite a bit, and it does more damage per shot at elite. It will in fact become HARDER to get promoted in future, because the upgraded weapons are significantly better. Also, you don't see it in the video as it never reaches Elite, but an Elite Grizzly's weapon is also a significantly higher ROF than normal.
EDIT: And yes, everything in that video is for demonstration only, it will probably undergo quite a few balance changes before we release anything,

My favorite vehical is gonna be the German Tank Destroyer, i want to see a pic of that.
Tank destroyer is a country specific unit, so it won't be in the first release. I think country special units are scheduled for RC2...

Well, currently my thinking goes as follows:
Weakpoints *can* be repaired, but ONLY before they are destroyed completely. Once they are completely destroyed they cannot be repaired.
Buildings may optionally lose some functionality as it loses weakpoints, IE: The refinery might produce less credits per miner load once it's lost one or more weakpoints.
Weakpoints health is completely unlinked to the buildings main health.
Killing all weakpoints = building goes boom. Similarly, destroying the actual building also kills the weakpoints (kinda obvious).

Those bullets are from a GDI bot armed with the same shotgun weapon, if you look to the far right of the screenshot you can see another burst of shots just entering the screen from him...
EDIT: And yes, I know what one is, but I dont see how that picture would look like I was using one... for a start my reticle is not even aiming at anything

The war miner already links the health of its gun to that of its turrets (the setup is probably the same, a bone with a turret object attached to it), so it would be easy to extend that to take multiple turrets and bones into account ( dp88_linkHealthx4 )

Maybe if it wasn't 50% of the points for a kill it would be better, like maybe 25%?
I did suggest that myself in the internal section, something like an 80/20 split, with the 20% for the final kill. The first incarnation of the veterancy system only gave points to the killer, so be glad damage is counted at all Anyway, this is why we post stuff in the blARg, so you can comment on it
i like the veterancy system. i hope snipers can't point whore off vehicles and then take their wrath out on infantry though.
Snipers won't be able to do much (if any) damage to vehicles, and therefore won't get any veterancy points for shooting at them.

Indeed it is. It's actually really easy, just disable it's enemy spotting when someone gets in and reenable it when they get out.
