  1. Right, so basically some players do have special moves, and those people have those actions marked by an asterisk.
  2. Just above the rules for Discussion phase, right after outlining the win conditions for each side.
  3. No, I'm sure there are special actions. Our PM said that commands with an asterisk are unique to you. I don't have any, however, so I have no idea what those might be.
  4. I've been considering that the scum team has to battle us to win, but they might have multiple advantages. There is the pre-evolved Pokemon, but I was also considering that perhaps they had advance access to TM/HM moves. I mean, stating that I can take down a Snorlax certainly got attention but seemingly no ill effects.
  5. Ha! The possibility that I'd be fighting you is why I switched to that one.
  6. I'll drop a hint on what the Pokemon is. ^ Those guys really want to get one.
  7. Yeah, that could be a problem. Sunflower is probably my best town read.
  8. Ok, but be warned that I will be going to work and will not be back until around 6 hours after hammer.
  9. I have to concede that it is possible, no matter how stupid it is, but at some point we're going to have to make you prove it.
  10. That could potentially be arranged. I won't intentionally lose, but the Pokemon set as my main today is quite flawed and needs TMs to make it better, which I haven't applied yet. She may be able to take it down easily. (I swap my main every night out of precaution)
  11. AND EVEN IF he really missed the plot and didn't understand that I didn't mean "Do you have moves that damage things" he has admitted that he is hiding what other move he has. This is the part that's unfortunate that scouting doesn't tell you what moves he has, because that would the final pillar of my argument.
  12. Oh yes, naturally, my mistake. Clearly what was going on in this discussion was this: Seriously, we had been discussing type advantages in every post before that. You're going to tell me that he thought Fighting meant something other than type? Why would I think he couldn't damage things?
  13. Ok, I waited long enough to see if TheIrishman was going to pipe up on my question, but it seems as if he's hoping that I've forgotten that he's already told us. During the combat with Sunflower and Shade, I told TheIrishman that unless he has fighting moves, it would be hard for the two of us to double up on any particular target. Now, here is Snorlax's learn set. https://pokemondb.net/pokedex/snorlax/moves/1 Clearly, Snorlax doesn't have any fighting moves in his natural learn set. Yet, he told us he had 2. How could that be? Could it be because of the two TMs he started with? He could have applied both of those on the first night and used them for this battle. Thus, to make sure he couldn't use that as a cover, I asked him first. Neither of those are Fighting types, I see. So where did those 2 Fighting-Type moves come from? It's also puzzling that the only move that TheIrishman used in combat (at least that was identified) was Headbutt. There are no moves on his natural move set that are weaker. He would have had to have all 3 of the non-combat moves on his natural learn set for Headbutt to be the best one to use. This is fishy. He almost certainly was hiding what his best move is.
  14. Also, for those that have been dutifully scouting me, how much do you learn about the Pokemon? Do you learn just a random one? Do you learn what moves it has? Do you learn whether or not it is the primary?
  15. I mean just the ones your Pokemon already knew when you were first given the list. Not any moves you might have added later using said TMs/HMs
  16. I should specify that I mean when the game started, not after any new moves were applied.
  17. Wow, apparently my place was a popular place to be last night. And I have to imagine that this has a lot to do with the sudden desire to have me battle again. Now, I have a question for everybody. For your entire party, how many moves did your Pokemon have that were NOT part of their natural learn set? (Moves that could only have been learned through a TM/HM, not be leveling)
  18. @TheIrishman I want to you to answer this. Just so that I'm not asking for information for free, I'll answer that question for myself. Fly and Thunderbolt were my two TMs. You probably won't ever see the Pokemon who was issued Fly. I was counting on him learning a move that you can't train by TM, and he didn't get it, and he probably can't beat much without it.
  19. Water-type Pokemon with Ice Beam. Totally an original strategy that OrangeP47 is doing right now.
  20. What were the two TMs you got on game start to give out to your team?
  21. For the record, I did the math, and assuming Headbutt is the best move his Snorlax has, I could beat him. But I'd have to be lucky. I can out damage him by a good margin but he has too much HP. The trouble is, it's hard to imagine that he doesn't have a better more than Headbutt. And if he has Rest, well. Fuck.
  22. I've been meaning to ask, I don't know what I said that made you think I was defending TheIrishman.
