Raven Software - Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force (2000)
UFPlanets.com somehow managed to get the rights to freely and legally distribute the game.
For those who don't know, it's a first-person shooter in the id Tech 3 (Quake III) engine set in Star Trek: Voyager, and follows the Hazard Team, an elite force of security officers who are trained for higher-risk missions than standard away teams. Not sure yet if the singleplayer is included in this distribution, but the Holomatch definitely is (renamed multiplayer, they had to use the holodeck theme so as to follow the license and not have any official characters die). There's also the RPG-X mod, which enables roleplaying and expands the set of assets Elite Force comes with.
Elite Force is regarded as arguably the best Star Trek-licensed game of all time, by the way.
FASA Studio & Cyberlore - MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries (2002)
The second expansion to MechWarrior 4: Vengeance, and the only one that was standalone. It was freeware for a period of time when a team called MekTek released the game along with some added 'Mechs and features (widescreen etc.), until they inexplicably left it. While officially no longer downloadable, the community (or what's left of it) de facto still distributes the game.
Monolith - No One Lives Forever (2000) & No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy In H.A.R.M.'s Way (2002)
The lovable, humourous and intensively story-driven FPS series, No One Lives Forever puts you in the role of Cate Archer, a secret agent working for UNITY to defeat the typical spy-movie villain organization H.A.R.M. One of my personal favourite series of all time. It's currently in an ABSURD level of licensing hell (divided between Monolith, Warner Bros., Activision and 20th Century Fox, while poor Night Dive Studios made a futile attempt to resolve that and re-release the game). That's where the fans come in - NOLFRevival.tk offers the two games with a few tweaks (widescreen, multiplayer...) for free, and nobody has sued them yet.
Download from NOLFRevival.tk (note - site has audio playing)
Blizzard - StarCraft (1998) & StarCraft: Brood War (1998)
For completion's sake
As of this year, StarCraft and its Brood War expansion are completely free. One of the best gaming storylines ever combined with the multiplayer that essentially started the so-called "eSports" craze (particularly in South Korea) is pretty much all the introduction it needs. Problems with rendering on Windows 8.x/10 have been resolved, anti-cheat on Battle.net has been re-enabled, and the Remastered version (coming 14 August) will be compatible with the freeware release online.

It looks like they just scanned an image of the actual board haha. They released it for 32-bit in 1997 and that version still works all the way up to windows 10!
Of the "digital" versions, I only played MicroProse's Risk II from 2000. It's okay and neatly configurable, but the multiplayer only makes sense if you don't have the boardgame handy. Don't know when I last played it, but it shouldn't be a problem to get it running either.
Also, the 1993 boardgame visage FTW.

I prefer the tabletop version

Why don't you say when those errors appear and which version do you have?
Anyway, proper installation/patching guide be here: http://www.cncnz.com/features/technical-support-help-guides/installing-command-conquer-renegade/

because Westwood studios shut down because of EA GAMES WHY.! out of all the things that EA DID TO SHUT DOWN GOOD COMPANYS THEY SHUTDOWN THIS ONE WHY!
Fanboy much? Westwood was shit at organizing themselves, and had a million little projects they stretched their staff in during the early 2000s.

My instance of Chrome can only do that when I manually put https:// instead of http://. Again, we do not yet use HTTPS.

On another note, I noticed on the home page, particularly under the C&C Mobile Games dropdown, that you have "Download on the iTunes Store" buttons for C&C Red Alert for iPhone and iPad. Not only are these games one and the same (you could do with a 'for iOS' page and merge the two), but they are also defunct. EA pulled them from the App Store, and so those buttons redirect to the iTunes home page and nothing more.
Thanks for reporting, I'll be going through the individual game portals soonish anyway.

Oh, that.
That's a more recent addition to Firefox, it says so for all non-HTTPS websites.

I get this on the forums only, not on the home page or anywhere else. Firefox, latest version. Most likely the SSL certificate.
I'm also on Firefox 53.0.3, but the only way I can replicate this is by adding HTTPS in the URL (which we do not yet have).

Getting several red flags on attempting to visit CNCNZ such as the website connection being too insecure, so something is up, figured I'd mention it.
Which browser, and can you provide a screenshot?
We don't have an SSL certificate (yet), so that might be the culprit for some.

sc2 failed so miserably.
With all those sold copies and always-heated multiplayer servers, I'm sure.

We have lots of articles/specials, portals etc. from previous website designs, so Sonic decided to use WordPress. The plugin we had was good and effective for IPBv3, but wasn't compatible with IPSv4.

As an FYI, CNCNZ has been suffering from a 'broken' front page for many months,
That's because upgrading to IPSv4 forums broke the link to the WordPress-powered site. We have a plugin wannabe in place now, but it's less than perfect.

The site has been taken over by an ex-staff member and friend, @Zee Hypnotist.

News from Sonic:
QuoteHey guys. Firstly thanks for your support. It was difficult for me to write that post. The reality is I can't afford to pay for the hosting any more. I have more bills and rent that must come fist.
With that said. I have read all the replies here and many PMs. I'm very sleepy as I reply to this. So give me chance to sleep on it. Someone else taking over the hosting seems to be the best option if you want the site to live on.

Wouldn't surprise me, with the shutdown announcement being unexpected even to us remaining staff.

[blurb]CNCNZ isn't shutting down! It was, but now it's not![/blurb]
Friends, it is with great regret that I inform you that CNCNZ.com, the second-longest running C&C community site, is shutting down in the coming days. Archive what you can and care about.

I don't usually play games with an end boss mechanic, and I've used the Vohrsoth from Star Trek: Elite Force 1 twice now, so here's Dane Vogel from Saints Row 2.

I can imagine. Bridge Commander and Elite Force II sold the worst, not because of quality, but because they were made at the end of Activision's hold of the license. In 2003, after Elite Force II was released, Activision allegedly sued Paramount for poor handling of the franchise, which could have affected sales - this did make sense, since all Paramount did at the time was Nemesis (ugh) and Enterprise, so Star Trek dipped in the eyes of the public. Not sure how that went for them, but they immediately lost the rights to selling Star Trek games (but I think you could ask for replacement discs by ~2008).
Too bad, since apart from Starfleet Command 1/2/Orion Pirates and 25th Anniversary/Judgement Rites, Activision published the only good Star Trek games.
