Alright, hammer will be in 20 minutes. If the CvC changes drastically before then, we'll have a normal hammer time.
-
Well, I know Sunflower's busy today and Cat5 and Irish have had no objections to your votes thus far. I may be busy tonight it seems, so I'm more open to an earlier battle.
-
@Killing_You and @OrangeP47 appear to be slated for battle today. If it helps with time, KY, I can do an early hammer and get this battle going. It doesn't look like things will change within the next 6 hours. Clarification: Stat-modifying moves like Agility and Swords Dance may be used three times in a battle, just like the original games. Obviously, base form Pokemon will want to be cautious since in Gen1 such moves weren't typically found until the player had a few evolutions.
-
It'd be a unanimous thing, no early hammers due to majority vote.
-
I'm not opposed to adding a vote option for early hammers. I'll add it into the next day's CvC.

Right, the items mechanic replaced that action.
-
Try battling.
-
Another clarification: Items do cost 1 Pokecoin to use during the rest phase, but not during the battle phase! That's because in the battle phase your primary Pokemon is the only possible target of the item.

DAY THREE Kanto News 6 reporting in on day three of the Rocket Siege. Police continue to be restrained by Team Rocket thugs, but the public remains confident that the Trainers can retake control of the Silph building. Protestors have begun gathering outside the building--police urge civilians to keep a safe distance as Team Rocket is known to unconventionally use their poison-type Pokemon on people. Police from the neighboring Celadon City have instructed a task force to protect Saffron Hospital in a precautionary measure. Today is a single battle day.

Shade pointed out an error in the last battle: Damage = ((2.4 * 90 * (70/30) /50) + 2) * ((0 + 1) * 2) ^That's the correct formula for Seel using Ice Beam on Rhyhorn. It comes out to 24 without a critical hit, and 48 with a critical hit. The only problem is that on Turn 1, Ice Beam did 34 damage to Rhyhorn somehow. Damage = ((2.4 * 90 * (70/30) /50) + 2) * ((0 + 1.5) * 2) But if I add in STAB, we get 36 damage, not 34. Damage = ((2.4 * 90 * (70/30) /50) + 2) * ((0 + 1.5) * 1) And if I take away Type, we get 18. So I suspect the 34 might have been a typo on my part when I mean to write 24, and then used 34 in HP subtraction. That would mean Rhyhorn survived Turn 2 with 8 HP left. I rolled for Horn Drill and it missed, but that doesn't mean it would have missed during the battle. I'm giving Shade an additional item via rng due to this error. And I'll be more thorough in future battle resolutions and ignore demand for a speedy trial.

Fainted Pokémon are still a part of the game unless stated otherwise.

GM Announcement: I've answered this question for one player, and it'll probably be asked by more. Some items take effect (i.e. get 'used up') even if you do not participate in a battle. Use wisely. This is a good time to remember that items can be used during battles as well as rest phases.

Poor Shade. TURN 10 Vulpix used Fire Spin on Snorlax! Vulpix's attack missed! Seel snapped out of confusion! Seel used Ice Beam! Vulpix took 3 DMG (9 HP left)! Snorlax used Headbutt on Vulpix! Vulpix took 16 DMG (0 HP left)! Vulpix fainted! The victors are Seel (37 HP left) and Snorlax (145 HP left)! The victors will receive their prizes via PM. The losers will also receive their consolation prizes via PM.
-
TURN 9 Vulpix used Quick Attack! Seel took 3 DMG (41 HP left)! Seel is freed from Fire Spin! Snorlax is freed from Fire Spin! Seel is hurt by the burn (4 DMG / 37 HP left)! I think I might nerf trap moves in future games.
-
TURN 8 Vulpix used Fire Spin on Snorlax! Snorlax took 5 DMG (145 HP left)! Seel is trapped by Fire Spin (1 more turn)! Snorlax is trapped by Fire Spin (1 more turn)! Seel is hurt by the burn (4 DMG / 44 HP left)!
-
Not listed: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Double_Battle TURN 7 Vulpix used Fire Spin on Seel! Seel took 2 DMG (53 HP left)! Seel is trapped by Fire Spin (2 more turns)! Snorlax is freed from Fire Spin! Seel is hurt by the burn (4 DMG / 49 HP left)!

Anti-spam measure and I won't be called a bastard mod.
-
He is, my highlighting keeps missing text. I'll slow down a bit and be more thorough. Updated Turn 6.
-
Since you have a higher Speed stat than Snorlax, Fire Spin won't do anything since Snorlax is still trapped until his turn passes. Just a heads up.
-
TURN 6 Vulpix used Confuse Ray on Seel! Seel is confused! Seel used Ice Beam on Vulpix! A critical hit! Vulpix took 4 DMG (12 HP left)! Snorlax is trapped by Fire Spin (1 more turn)! Seel is hurt by the burn (4 DMG / 55 HP left)!
