It actually happened independently, I resolved for both and they both crit.

Sky attack is charging for one turn, standby.... Mewtwo uses Thunder Punch... it crits... (yes, seriously). It does 226 damage, Moltres faints.

Attention: There was an error with the battle last night, specifically in how Brigitte's auto-battle was interpreted. The orders were actually to Quick Attack KY on Round 1. This doesn't actually change the outcome of the battle, but Brigitte wanted confirmation that she wanted to attack him. As it didn't actually happen, though, I'm not applying the penalty.
