I'm pretty sure it does work on both, at least in games with actual double battles. Those moves always reference "team" when deploying.
-
I can play for Cat 5
-
I'm going to go make dinner, it will take 30 minutes or so. In the event the turn gets posted before then, I will thunder wave scyther next.
-
I'm going to at least pretend to be useful, so nobody can say I was a bad teammate Thunder Wave Snorlax
-
That's clearly KY attempting to sabotage the plan. ##Trainer Cat 5 ##Rocket Killing You I think that fixes it.
-
We've been over it several times
-
Tomorrow.
-
BTW Retal, I see you watching. I started a Gen 4 play through the other day and named my Psyduck after you.
-
It was a tough choice. I figured I might get enough wiggle room to evolve to Magneton though, but apparently that is not the case
-
Yeah, but then FRAYDO healed you, and there's no way I can take out 2 of your pokemon, I got lucky taking out one, and my chance to subtly influence the game to have you battle all the time has passed by Also in retrospect, my Gastly can do 25 damage vs Kadabra, which would be decent, but would probably get stomped due to low HP.
-
Because I wasn't 100% sure he wasn't rocket, and Sunflower is frankly out of my reach so I'm not worrying about it
-
No not really, unless you count Gastly with a horrible move set. I've not trained it at all.
-
Oh, well so I'd stand at least some chance, even if not a good chance, against Gyrados, because it's the strongest thing I know of out there that's not Snorlax, but I don't really have anything that could damage Snorlax much anymore. I do have a Magmar, and I did buy a Fighting type TM for him, but I didn't apply it yet. Irish may not be the best one to plan against, but he's the only one I really know of *to* plan against, and it was not impossible he'd wind up on a team with KY.
-
I needed an electric type, Voltorb/Electrode don't naturally learn electric moves (which I've long been mad about), and didn't want to be a generic Pikachu trainer.
-
I have a magnimite.
-
Fun fact, most competitive formats have a rule specifically against that I'm still salty about not getting dig on a charmander though.
-
You know, just to continue being a contrarian, that might actually give my partner more of a chance than if I battled normally, so what you're saying is if I want KY to win, I should let him use another one of his own pokemon (I have to make up for Shade not being in the game somehow )
-
I'm probably eliminated anyway, how much worse can it get?
-
If on a team with KY I might just sabotage it all, seeing as I think we'll win once he's eliminated.
-
Hmmm, actually having them on the same side might make more sense...
-
We can still put KY and Cat 5 on opposing sides or something.
-
Well I may have some good things but nothing that could stand up to Snorlax or even Gyarados unless I got lucky That's the bar I'm judging against.
-
That's quite possible, and quite possibly why they don't eliminate me as well.
-
Yeah, he was a heavy hitter. I'm out of heavy hitters, but at least Irish still has Snorlax I guess.
-
Interesting. I wanted to put Cat 5 in the scum category but couldn't use anything other than PoE really until now, and KY was the more interesting candidate.
