I might suspect he thinks that I'm actually a Freman more than anything though.

I understand the chain of reasoning. I basically called him a Freman or native since he said he was a rebel scum. Which I described how the native Freman basically rebel against the two houses. And after describing the Freman, he noted how they are indeed the most likely group that you'd make into a TP or Neutral role.

They're whatever the GM decided they wanted. They could just as easily have allied with one of the houses in some sort of deal, assuming they're even in game.

There's a lot of background flavor that could be in this game, but probably isn't here at all to be fair though.

Proper term is Fremen who live in the basically wild desert lands , which the two houses are intergalactic invaders from their viewpoint who rule their home planet in the name of the Emperorer.

The local native warrior tribes which aren't directly aligned with the two warring houses, which might be a power role in some form. Although I really wouldn't read anything into yet other than it being a role flavor Killing_You could have thrown in.

Right, I'm going to help out Town Power Roles a bit and go ahead and state I'm a Vanilla Town role with no abilities to speak of. So if you do have any ability or item, then your role is very important.

Look guys, I think we might be in serious trouble here. Scum not only managed to find the Duke, but they also killed him before D1! Cleary, this could only be the work of some sort of master scum team.

I'll join. The flavor is pretty basic. You have an intergalactic human empire, ruled by an emperor and various noble houses beneath him. You have a guild of navigators that creates specially altered humans that can quickly travel through the galaxy by entering "alternate space" and navigating it using a drug called spice that's only produced on the desert planet Arrakis that is the setting for the book Dune. On the technology note, personal shield generators are highly effective, so infantry combat uses melee weapons or dart throwers that can move slowly enough that they can bypass the shield's defensive settings. There's also other specially altered humans called the bene gesserit, which are basically psychic witches, with a very notable ability to control other people by using what's called "the voice". And I'll make a quick reference to assassin drones about the size of a bee being a thing, and possibly cloning technology.
