It could also mean they don't mind you dying, and your teammate has already been trying to help you out, or isn't that active in general.

Especially in the case they're not even voting for a no-lynch to prevent a mislynch.

A lack of action could indicate players are perfectly fine with who's currently being lynched, which is more likely to indicate scum, since they're happy as long as they're not the ones being lynched.

There are a couple of scummy trends indicating players. But that's more for the work investigations, since there's still multiple ways to interpret their actions.

There are a lot of non-votes going on right now. Which are very specifically not no-lynches or a preference for who to lynch. Maybe they just have too many targets to pick from.

Really, your entire argument against Retaliation is he's only using emoticon to communicate. Which is fairly unlikely to be an in game mechanic given it's limitation, unless he's also basically immortal right now.

Yeah, but that should be easy enough to ascertain though. Can't really hold it against him if he wasn't taking day one that seriously so decided to RP instead.

In all fairness, I don't think that's so much a gimmick as @Retaliation basically RPing as a character who can't technically talk.
