Every time you are attacking or defending, you are also rolling a dice (from 0-10), the dice will ultimately multiply your result. If you roll 0 you will miss, if you roll 10 you will achieve a critical hit. Critical hits can change the outcome of the turn pretty quickly. Dice values will be determined by RAND() function in my tracker.

The dice multiplier is just a straight up 1:1 ratio correct? So on a critical hit you'd have a x10 multiplier to your attack or defense stat, or a x3 multiplier if you rolled  a 3?

Only the champion gets immunity I think? We can vote someone sith over and over again I believe.  If not, the game is kind of borked if we actually do find a sith.

Last I heard it's only the champion, so unless Verti decided to change the rules from when he said that. On that note, we actually need two champions for this game instead of just one to alternate between, and possibly more depending on how fast they can recover from their injuries.

Also I feel like saying that I object to the challenge letting people off the hook on voting. That's a major disadvantage in info whenever a challenge happens.

The downside is your opponent has to accept your challenge though, which it's going to be fairly difficult to find a situation where that would happen, plus everyone will immediately become suspicious of whoever survives the duel.

I don't believe it's possible for us to become Sith with the dark side powers. Instead, I believe that bit of info to be referring to the force balance. My reason for this is that I requested a "Gray" role with the possibility of becoming a Sith if I make the wrong choices, yet with goals that would keep me from being too "Jedi". I was told by Verti60 that I couldn't do that kind of role.

I'd believe that as a possibility, although I'd still be worried about Sith having some sort of ability that would corrupt a player over to there side based on how many dark side abilities they have.

Ummm no. I don't think it's open ended at all. Dark side powers are dangerous and corrupting, and if a Jedi tries to use them, they will become increasingly dark until they're "more machine than man." Any other explanation is suspicious for attempting to make the dark side out as something other than the malevolent thing that it is.

While suspicious, that doesn't necessarily mean he is a scum player for certain. There are a couple of possibilities I can think of that would explain his suspicious behavior without him being a scum player.

The problem is, after that performance, everyone suspects me of being a scum-sided player now. It's thwarted my last few scum runs because so much heat has been on me from D1.  I welcome the chance to be a town player and prove I'm just as useful as town, and/or show people I'm unbiased.

Maybe you just act like a scum player in general? :p You certainly managed to make me suspicious just by throwing out an assumption that there are no sith in game.

I'll counter with the fact that it's been said the game is entirely in the hands of the player actions.  People BECOMING the Sith would fit that very well.

You also place undue weight on this theory I'm talking about.  It's not even 50/50.  It's 5% at the most.  I just like to have all ideas on the table.

Which, why would you if there were no Sith in the game to start with, that sounds like a D1 victory to me?

But what exactly does that mean "mean" is open for debate.  Don't get me wrong, I'm agreeing it's ill advised, but there's room for interpretation.

Are you certain you're seeing the same thing I am? It has an actual warning in the action itself about how it strengthens your connection to the dark side each time you take it.

I just want to throw this out there: Depending on the era of play, the Rule of Two may or may not be moot. There also don't appear to be any "corruption" mechanics per player, either, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that we're facing a fixed number of Sith. Bear in mind, I could be wrong, but that's how the situation appears to me.

At the moment I'm roughly assuming this game is based off of Anakin Skywalker's quest as the Chosen One to bring balance to the force.

For the "corruption" mechanic, double check what force abilities your character can learn at night.

Well, there's the option for anyone to learn dark side abilities. There's got to be some risk vs reward balance to it. It's a guess, but one I'd put my bet on, that learning said powers hasten the rise of the dark side force balance. Again, we don't know this for sure, but it just makes sense.  It'll certainly be a part of my working body of theory.

And Orange has now managed to do a better job of explaining my own theories than I would probably do. ;)

What about the Rule of Two? :p

He thinks the sith bar is 1/12 filled, and thinks that means there's at least one sith (or someone with dark side abilities). It's guesswork. Guesswork that makes reasonable sense, but it's not like he has secret info I'm pretty sure.

Hence why I'm really uncertain about claiming only 1 of us is a Sith for certain, instead of that being the minimum number.

1/12 would be a tiny mafia team for a VERTi60 game. He'd be relying on either Jedi volunteering to switch sides or a mafia-cult mechanic to increase the mafia size.

It would be very thematic for a single Sith Lord to try and corrupt the council and the Chosen One as his new apprentice.

Yeah, which as far as I can tell, tells me absolutely nothing about the state of the game. It could be the lowest that meter can be. So why is Shade so sure that the bar proves there are Sith in the game right now?

If you notice the black line on the bottom of "lightsabre blades", that shows you how low or high it can actually go where it shifts colors near the ends.
