  1.

Don't agree with the clan game channel changes. I'm against changing the structure in clan area and game channels. Anything else it's not really my business to comment on.

Can you elaborate on this? What's the rationale behind hiding the Warframe channel inside a clan specific area? It seems daft to me to NOT have all the games channels under a "Games" category...

The clan's gaming is currently having a few overhauls and thus we expect more players and game channels to be active. There are quite few compensations that were done in the past, but now it's getting reverted to support the clan activities and new influx of people.

  2. Hello there. I just wanted to share an interesting game project where I was a bit involved and helped my friend, now he's going seriously with it as game developer. What started as a indie game, the spiritual successor of NetStorm RTS, now grown to a full kickstarter project, with direct support of the old dev team (the old Titanic Entertainment).

Please check and if you can, share and support. Many thanks! Hopefully this game will live up to it's release!

  3. Just Barracks and HoN on a flat small surface, no class purchases (only techs available), a random crate spawns once in a while where you have a rough 15% chance to get a new class, 50% chance of getting either a RV ruining your game-play or armor boost :p

Good game for people who like techie rushes but once somebody gets a cyborg...

There is already an awesome dungeon keeper remake, look up "war for the overworld" on steam ;)

Yeah, but even though if they managed to get the guy who narrated Dungeon Keeper. And even if its inspired by Dungeon Keeper, and even uses the prototype name for the Third official game of-the series before it got canned by EA. It isn't No dungeon Keeper, i want my Bile Demons and Horned Demons. I wanna Bitch slap my Mistresses, and torture those pesky dwaves and turn them into skeletons. I want Dungeon Keeper III dammit.

I've played around with it a bit and it actually does "feel like" a real DK game. A lot of things were re-named or modified slightly to avoid copyright infringement (ie: "Underlord" instead of "Keeper" and micro piglets instead of chickens) but the game mechanics are similar

There is also series from Kaplypso called Dungeons, which is referred as DK+ :p

It's actually a semi-parody game for DK and several RPGs but seems to have adopted a lot of DK mechanics but focuses more on building an Dungeon amusement park for heroes and RPG elements of your Dungeon Lord.

  5. Actually Alien is scripted in some parts (mostly at the beginning where he ignores you), where in some parts he's released to follow you or just tease you or once again, ignore you.

Also I bought Aliens: Colonial marines at the same time and while it looks nice, it has absolutely zero fear-factor... I feel like I'm shooting dumb acid-bags rather than intelligent killing machines... Shame as it would be nice to have a shooter that rivalled the original avp which I really enjoyed.
Edit: I think 3rd person would've taken a lot away from the game as well...

    Completely agree with this.

Fun fact by the way, did you know that the game was originally intended to be third person?

Ahh, they could have two modes available then! (there are two kinds of people)

  6. Two western cowboys are talking in the bar.

-Hey, do do you see that dude over there?

The first cowboy asks pointing at the bar.

    -Where exactly?

    The second cowboy is wondering.

-He's the one sitting near the bar!

-But there is like a dozen of guys sitting there...?

-The one with a big hat!

-But all of them have big hats...?

-You see, he wears blue jeans and a shirt!

-But if I'm not mistaken, most of them wear same jeans and shirts...?

-He has those big brown boots on!

-But I can see at least six of them with similar boots...?

-Look now! It's that guy with a drink in his hand!

-But now all of them are drinking...?

The first cowboy gets pissed, so he pulls his guns and starts shooting everyone sitting near the bar. Only one guy is still alive, freaked out, while all others are laying on the floor.

    -Now, do you see him?!

    Asks the first cowboy.

-Yes, I can see him, so what about him?

    Wonders the second one.

    The first cowboy replies angrily:

-Dude, I hate that guy so much, I would shoot his face off if I could!

It's actually the first story joke I ever learned. :-D

  7. For me, I think Outlast, Amnesia games or even the new Slender are more scarier (since you have no weapons/NPC friends at all, nothing seems to make sense and game-play is more focused on scarring you/building up tension rather than solving objectives/killing enemies).

I'd compare Alien to Death Space - both are very well done space horrors with good visuals and detail & of course excellent game-play and story, but don't scare you as much since they are too predictable (if you are used to it) and generally in space you are stuck with alien monsters mostly which are sometimes more fascinating than actually horrifying (actually in Alien I haven't seen anything that much horrifying).

I think if you are drooling/solving/killing/watching cut scenes too much in a horror game you don't get as scared as for example in a dark game where you don't have many distractions. :p

That of course doesn't mean less scary games are inferior, they are just less scary and more interesting/fun/relaxing.

  8. This is something that would be really cool if it was a thing in Renegade. More base/environment interaction. With the placeholders and extra switches/consoles it doesn't look that impressive, but in fact it's a very good concept that could be improved and make a great game.

  9.

And an omniscient Alien (that alternates between supernatural detection and obliviousness to the frail human hiding under it's nose jaw thingy) with a super unreasoning hatred for the main character (that F++ker follows you EVERYWHERE, ignoring other enemies to get at you) even though you have done nothing to it...

Must have figured out that your related to the woman who murdered its sister/brother/thing by blowing it out an airlock.

Seriously, joking aside, the Alien HATES you in this game.

Actually what I observed is that the Alien pretty much ignored you at the beginning, but as you progressed to hide and escape from it, it actually considers of you as "challenge prey", it knows you are the smart one thus focuses on you more over time which makes sense. What does not make sense is that later it seems like everyone is allied against you.

  10. The game is pretty well done with the atmosphere, story and background, it pretty much brings you back to the old Alien movie. Mini-games and puzzles were a nice add to the survival horror part. The only drawback is the occasional bugs (mainly with doors, NPCs and triggers) which can effect your progress or screw you to the point you need to restart. There is also a difficulty/luck factor involved and sometimes the game gets a bit boring after trying the same (long) part again and again.

  11. That is why the cnc3 mammoth became a tank again; though mk2 in TS/R is still superior unit in regards to firepower and armor to mk1 which is as it should be.

Going head on with an MKII is a very dumb idea. You should get behind it or flank it so it can't hurt you.

If you are already getting attacked then it would be dumber to try to get around the map ;p

  12. I don't see why you couldn't C4 a MkII... just approach from behind to avoid the chin gun and throw C4 on its legs. I don't often see Nod manage to steal a MkII these days though, not since it became unjackable.

    Well you just can't.
