Hey Dan,

 

I've just tried this tutorial but for some reason my wheels still clip my mesh. I've linked all the vertices to the wheelP bones and everything is all as per your tutorial...

 

Could it be because im using 3ds max rather than GMax?

Sorry, I mean in 3ds, it clips when I pull the wheel bone down.

 

I thought that the wwskin would pull the linked verticies down with the bone. Just like the picture in your tutorial. Haven't even got round to exporting it yet.

 

also, to animate in 3ds I guess I push "auto key" instead of that nice big animate button in GMAX.

Also i have another question, i've got my tracks moving nicely with the terrain now and my wheels spinning. (by the way LOL, i forgot to flip the X-Axis on the wheels originaly, so when i first imported the tank into game, the wheels were spinning on the wrong axis... Very weird if you can picture it)

 

How is it that the texture spins around the model to give the impression of the tracks actually spinning round? At what point is this part done... does the engine know to "spin" any texture thats attached to the v_tread?
