There's still two hours to go until duel start, I think. That said, OrangeP47 doesn't come off as Sith-like to me. Then again, he's great at hiding (Death Note). If I were to choose a champion to fight Shade, I'd pick him. I have no reads against Nodlied and refuse to accept a guess that he might have used ##follow as a reason to vote him. If I'm going to duel, then who would I duel against?
-
Did we establish yet if we can unvote?
-
Why do you think that pointing out a flaw in my theory should be cause for me to remove my Sith vote, given the way you presented the flaw and used it to dismiss my theory as 'completely wrong'?
-
But Shade, I did respond to your rebuff. https://w3dhub.com/forum/topic/416690-day-1-council-meeting-star-wars-mafia-jedi-vs-sith/?do=findComment&comment=649308

A good thought on the flaw, yes, but I don't believe my theory is 100% incorrect, which is what Shade seemed to vehemently imply. As I said, it's the method of dismissal--first 100% dismissal, and then the strong belief that it's 100% incorrect--that to me indicated that Shade knows more than the average Jedi at this point. Thus my vote.

There isn't, which is why I gave my comparison analysis of the candidates we have right now. Perhaps we should select someone who would be happy to duel Retaliation i.e. ChopBam. It seems like he's the only one who suspects him and would be content to defeat him in a duel.

##vote champion Retalition
-
I'm quite sure I did explain it several times. I won't rewrite it, go look for it or ask OrangeP47 to describe it in a different way that might make more sense to you. I can't in good conscience duel against Retaliation, since there's no reason to suspect him as Sith so far. So voting me would be a Jedi vs. Jedi and a waste of resources.
-
Edit: Also because of the way you reacted after the vote, which let me know that it was a vote worth keeping for the time being.
-
http://mafiawiki.notesmash.org/wiki/OMGUS I didn't vote you for disagreeing with my theory. I voted you because of the way you disagreed with it.
-
Not at all. I wasn't in DS3, but from what I've heard it was relatively chaotic and he's poking fun at the game itself, not the trying to obscure the hint.

I'm home from my unexpected trip. @Sunflower I'm definitely not trying to use any mind tricks when I tell you that player meta needs to be taken with a grain of salt. You don't need to be a seasoned mafia player to realize that if you know yourself, then you know how others will generally perceive you, and through that you can manipulate them. It verges on the sociopath line, but it's true nonetheless. Retaliation is our champion from the CvC. Are you prepared for the duel, Retal? We still have time to pick a different champion. As for Sith, OrangeP47 summed it up nicely: Shade's indicated that he has information that we do not, and it does need to be resolved. Whether that's Shade being overconfident hence causing his dismissal of other ideas or him being Sith and actually knowing how the mechanics work, I can't say. But it's a vote I prefer at this moment over Nodlied. There's less conditional evidence to go on.

Well, yeah. I did request a neutral role that had the danger of becoming scum if I played incorrectly. It was denied. That was my basis for suggesting that Jedi alone can’t turn to the dark side. But it doesn’t mean they won’t affect the FBI.
-
“Hibernation Trance”. Not meditation.
-
When did I advocate that ##follow isn’t dangerous? My theory about FBIrelies on it being bad for town.
-
You’re new so I’ll explain: it’s a tactic I like to use. Jump with an accusation, and see from the reaction if it’s worth keeping or dropping. It’s a surefire way to gain info, especially if it catches a scum off guard.
-
You should know that I don’t use meta in my readings. Someone’s personality can be easily manipulated if they know themselves.
-
If you’re referring to me, my suspicion is due to shade’s assertion and confidence that he knows how things work. He’s said that my theory is wrong without providing evidence, and he thought I was making up the hibernation trance ability showing that he may believe he has access to more information than we do. Furthermore his attitude when confronted over these two points is less than satisfactory.
-
Yeah. Still you.
-
I’m Human and it’s not racial. It’s a self-protection ability that costs 10 FP. I’d assumed it wasn’t tied to Charisma due to the holo-pad thing, but I guess it’s not something all Jedi have.
-
Nice deflection. Or do you not have the hibernation trance ability?

If Sith being Sith can double their part of the FBI in one night, then it'll be a fairly short game. Especially if the meter continues to turn to their favor each time a Jedi dies in a duel. It doesn't sit well with me.
-
So let's say an apprentice was recruited last night. That explains why the Sith side was doubled, also assuming no other players did ##Follow. Now if we say a Jedi wasn't turned last night, then it means that the FBI probably doesn't have a correlation with the number of Sith in the game and is more dependent on "existing scum" + "presence of dark side" meaning times ##Follow was used. If this is the case, then how many times does ##Follow need to be used to double the D0 Sith side of the FBI? Unless five or six players come out and say "yeah I did that for shits and gigs", it's the more unlikely theory.
-
My theory is actually something like this: 1) Number of Sith in play = 60% of dark side balance 2) Number of Jedi with dark side abilities = 20% of dark side balance 3) Unknown = 20% of dark side balance It's a ratio game.
-
It's a little far-fetched for my taste, but if you're insistent that my theory on the FBI is incorrect, then you may be reacting naturally to information you know that I am unaware of--or trying to defend something or someone by insisting so. Recall that I currently believe the Rule of Two to be in play (otherwise the Sith side of the FBI shouldn't have doubled overnight). If the FBI's red side increase was due to ##follow dark side or a scum night action, then it would have been a smaller increase. There are two Sith in play, and at the moment my train of thought says, "if Shade is a Sith, then OrangeP47 is the most likely master/apprentice at the moment". As I said, far-fetched. But food for thought either way.
