If you think my theory, built on logic and past experiences, is incorrect, then how do you propose to prove it?

Real Life Info: I'm going on an unexpected trip this weekend and will be gone until tomorrow night. I'll probably miss the rest of the Council phase, but that's why I'm not pushing for a wagon. I have my reasons for voting Shade and they're stated, yet I'm fully aware that other information might pop up later; I trust the Council to proceed optimally. Also, Shade, voting you for Sith means you can't issue challenges, which if you are indeed simply jumping to conclusions as OrangeP47 believes, is a good thing. I leave in around 30 minutes. I'll use my phone to check in and read when I can, but won't have a computer with me so I won't be typing long arguments.

Many things.

I got all excited for your big analysis post followed by gavel-booming vote. I was sorely disappointed.
-
I wasn't in the game, therefore the hint is irrelevant to me until someone explains it.
-
Then don't vote for Shade. I, on the other hand, don't share your sentiment.

It's pretty obvious to me what affects FBI based on experiences in past games (world tension). We may even get a direct number from Verti60 after today's duel. Educated guesses are better than twiddling our thumbs--we did that on D0, and even you said on D0 that discussion and creating theories was good for information.

Of course not. But you just said it yourself: the bar is literally called the Force Balance Indicator. We know there are multiple ways for Sith to progress their goals. Here are two main ones I think they have: Rule of Two (recruit an apprentice, maybe one-time use) and Follow Dark Side (they can't control this one, but we can). OrangeP47, I agree with your assessment as a possibility, but the way he's spinning things is too sloppy for my taste.
-
If that were the case, then the game could easily end N1 if the rest of us decide to learn a dark side ability. I'm under the impression that the saber-bar represents the Balance, and it's our goal to root out the Sith before they tip the Balance to the dark side. Why wouldn't their progress be displayed publicly for us to see? Your performance and wit in the last full game you played compared to the way you're interpreting this aspect of this game now has me feeling like you're a good contender for scum. Honestly, I feel like you should know better, however perhaps it's your first time playing as scum. ##vote Sith Shade939

Not really, because we know there is at least one Sith in the game which accounts for the D0 bar. If that isn't evidence that 2/12s of the bar being red meaning two Sith, then there's also the idea that if a single (or even two) ##follow Dark Side action can cause the bar to fill that much, then we have an extremely urgent game on our hands.
-
That's what I was thinking. Although, it looks like the Sith bar doubled in size. So unless more than half of us followed the dark side last night, I'm confident that the bar means something else entirely. Maybe the Rule of Two comes into play here and an apprentice was recruited? I can't even figure how that would work unless some of us were already balls deep in the dark side following.

It does say instead, which to me means it has the same -10 cost as Learning.
-
FYI for comparison: It's not just you OrangeP47. That Sith bar moved!
-
Jesus Christ you better not be a Sith. I won't tolerate another Steins;Gate scenario.
-
My head hurts. @VERTi60, a mod clarification might be in order here?
-
Geez. Coming from the guy who found out how to manipulate the time machine stuff in Steins;Gate Mafia, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.
-
So yes. Cool, thanks. That clears up my first instinct of questions.
-
So, you had the option to learn a Tier 2 action but didn't notice it? A.K.A. typical Voe?
-
Was it by choice? As in, do you know if you had the option to learn a Tier 2 action?
-
Aand I'm confusing things again. My force orientation is Control. My Knowledge Skill is Charisma, which allows me to bypass a condition that a masonry I request needs to be accepted before a doc is established. TheIrishMan's Knowledge Skill is Intelligence, which apparently lets him learn Force Combat Actions(?) faster.
-
Control. I started with one T1 force action and used ##Learn to get a different T1 action. The next night phase I'll be able to learn a T2 action.
-
TheIrishMan is claiming the former, that his Intelligence attribute allows him to use ##Learn twice in one night. I'm simply asking for anyone else with the same attribute to confirm that. If it can't be confirmed, then it obviously warrants a closer look.
-
tl;dr, TheIrishMan normally shouldn't be able to learn a Tier 2 force action until the second night phase at the earliest.
-
Because in order to learn a Tier 2 force action, one must know two Tier 1 force actions of different attributes. To that end, TheIrishMan claimed to have the Intelligence attribute, giving him one Tier 1 force action to start with. But, since he needs two Tier 1 force actions to learn a Tier 2 action, I postulate that either Intelligence has the benefit of ignoring this condition via separate action, or there's Sith fuckery afoot. It's basic logic.
-
Ok, I’ll rephrase: does anyone else have the Intelligence attribute and did they start with two force actions?
