So why not do a third day/night of this since it's the weekend?
-
I have a tough time remembering you're Red/Green colorblind, Cat5. Hmm, perhaps there's a way to exploit that in future mafia games...
-
That's the reason I linked them, they're free. Dropbox is 2GB free and Drive is 20GB free.
-
@jonwil He's running a custom-built PC, would you be able to see information on the page file in those .dmps? I've never had a custom pc, but I'm curious if the page file is large enough for the video memory.

User adjusted PhysX configuration settings in NVIDIA Control Panel.

Hard freeze at moment a flamethrower destroyed user's medium tank on River Raid. User had to powercycle, there was no driver recovery this time and no crash logs left behind.
-
Documentation: Researched the event viewer logs and found that the hard errors, Event ID 13, for the graphics driver, is likely an issue with motherboard firmware. User has a Dell OptiPlex 7010, BIOS A01. Asked user to update to latest version at http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/optiplex-7010/drivers Will see if errors persist during tonight's session.

23 people in server right now, Steam me if you decide you want in and I'll do what I can to fix your game. :D
-
I can try to help you out with that when/if you hop on Steam.

That file would be super handy to have. You could upload it to Dropbox (2GB) or Google Drive (20GB) and share it via link, then post the link here.

@Pushwall took msvc-2017.zip off of the launcher manifest, so try updating/installing again and see if it works for you. @danpaul88 can probably confirm if msvc-2017 requires Windows 7 and up. If it does, then it'll be an internal decision on whether to continue support for Vista. We post announcements for big changes like that, so you'll know about it sooner or later if Vista support becomes discontinued.
-
I'll hazard a guess and say that since Visual Studio 2017 doesn't support Windows Vista, then msvc-2017 therefore also doesn't suppirt Vista. The minimum OS you'd need is Windows 7.
-
Can you upload your log for that the same as you did for the msvc-2013 error?
-
Hey, that’s cool. Mafia games should never eat into your real life emotions; Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. If you decide after a break that you need to stop playing for your own sake, let the GM (verti60 in this case) know and he’ll do what he can to find a replacement for you. We care about our players. Hope you feel better!
-
@Voe, set warp speed to maximum! "U wot m8?" I'd love a W3D Hub group for this. @VERTi60 could probably get a lot of youtube videos out of it.

That's the header of the .reg file. It should be coped. You don't need to worry about the version number for that line unless you're still on Windows NT or older for some reason.
-
If the game runs smoothly and error-free with the registry fix, fantastic! But if you get any crashes in-game, come back in and make a post and we'll turn to this side of things. C++ 2013 wouldn't be installed correctly, which would be the culprit.
-
Edit: If you opt for the registry route, it's probably best for future updates to make your game's path the same as the launcher would install it. By default, this is: C:\Program Files (x86)\W3D Hub\games\apb-release\ I suggest moving your game around to meet the default path.
-
The launcher uses the registry to detect installed games. Copy the following text to notepad and make edits for your installation directory, and then save the file as a .reg. Then double click the .reg file to add it to your registry. 1) Replace the version number in InstalledVersion with your game's version, if it hasn't been fully updated before you copied it over. 2) Change InstallDir to the folder where your game.exe is located 3) Do the same with InstallPath After adding this in, the launcher will recognize the game as installed.

ST Bridge Crew recently removed the VR requirement making it playable for poor saps like me. It was also half off when I picked it up, but since their end-goal is a larger playerbase (I believe they had ~200 or so before removing VR), it'll undoubtedly go on sale again in the future. http://store.steampowered.com/app/527100/Star_Trek_Bridge_Crew/ The game itself plays like an updated version of Bridge Commander. There's a solo/coop campaign of five long missions and then the Kobayashi Maru challenge, and Ubisoft built in randomly generated missions which I've yet to try. Multiplayer works with up to four players, each taking the role of a primary bridge officer: Captain, Helmsman, Tactical, or Engineer. In solo play, the AI commands everything else while you're the captain. But in multiplayer, every player has their own responsibilities. You could be a great captain but a worthless pilot of a helmsman, for example. I don't have the luxury of friends who own this game (pretty sure I'm the only ST nerd--and even game nerd--in my group interested in this), so I haven't gotten to try the multiplayer out yet. Even for solo play though, I do recommend it.

Stop deadposting.

My goal was to stay out of duels as much as possible. I was doing a great job of it until Shade whispered "he's scum for sure vote him avenge me" to a living player. Scum aren't even OP in duels, so there you have it. Wish I'd just left when I wanted to and not wasted my time.
-
I'm not going to be a part of any post-death crap, by the way. It's that kind of nonsense that got me voted into this duel. Not cool.
