    You also should have had FRAYDO's vote for Soft Pluralism that night IIRC.

    But he wouldn't have a good reason to block you over Category 5 if you hadn't taken both evidence keys trying to make yourself immune to being investigated.

    Did you forget the point where he had a Crowbar, and Scum had a member who had an ability to steal items though. Although, he really did go gun happy there at the end.

    To be fair, that's inevitably the only way you can win unless you have enough of a power advantage to control the voting process.

    You also have to remember you saw Irish try to kill someone. You saw FRAYDO's result when he tried to investigate Category 5. Irish also triggered his own trap that he just placed on FRAYDO.

    Even then, I could have fairly easily ended up in a position where I couldn't do anything since I never managed to grab a single item until right before the end.

    I was tempted to not grab the gun and rely on using my passive to force the investigation unto Category 5, and then win the nomination and grab it legally. But apparently I couldn't automatically win the tie with Category 5 because of my ability, despite the fact I couldn't be investigated, so it made just as much sense to steal the Gun and rely on RNG to get off the first shot.

    Also, FRAYDO has been avenged.

    My only guess is stability has to drop low enough for civil war to break out, so the royal guard are forced to partake in that instead of guarding me.

    I’m fine with a shorter day phase, or if Category 5 is fine with leaving the votes exactly as they are right now, I really don’t mind ending this day even sooner.

    Yep, that seems like it's the most likely situation actually. I think it basically comes down entirely to abilities.
