  1. I'd like to see a function where each major structure has a special switch that can only be activated by technicians/engineers, where activating it is akin to starting repair ticks on the structure as it would in actual RA. It will of course be a supplement to the technician's current repair speed, but utilizing this functionality will cost the player a certain percentage of their credits in relation to the structure's value.

  2. Also holy shit pyryle started shooting you a full second after his death. That can't be adequately explained as just lag.  :?

A lot of times lately my net has been going in and out of connectivity, but not much so that I will get knocked offline for a long time and then come back. I'm pretty sure this is what happened in the video because on my end of things, the transient disconnection causes everybody to do the following: warp, moonwalk in one direction, or both (though I mostly encounter the first) and whatever damage I cause gets applied when my connectivity gets re-established. IDK, just my thoughts on it  :pseudo:

There you have it, Pyryle was indeed cheating. I think one or two players have been proven right over the years :p

    shush you :colbert:

  3. I kind of want to see another Beta/CF/NW throwback event just to see how all the newer players will cope with a lot of the BS things from back then. Not just the superbuff flares, but

mechs/medics/engineers repairing damage instantly, pinpoint accurate shock rifles that get full headshot bonus damage,  hitscan snipers with what is basically an equivalent to a modern FPS' "hold breath" button only it's not obvious that it's the case, to name a few.

I GOT IT! 9935 throwback event... again...

and don't forget those double-damage radar domes

  4.

Totally doable, has been for years, is fully intended. In pre-Gamma it was considered really OP because you could do it with phase-snipers, who were completely hidden on radar in those days (phases also could crush infantry while moving at only 1mph which is not possible now), on the map The Woods Today, which had absolutely no base defenses. Sure, golden wrenches were an insta-disarm back then, but you better hope you don't have any lag or screenshake or anything because back then it was a 1 ammo weapon with no area of effect - you had to have your reticle trained directly on the flare's tiny hitbox or your whole wrench would fail. Back in those days seeing 3 phase-snipers deploy flares in opposite corners of the Soviet base was GG.

Oh and back then flares took 45 seconds to impact (now 60). Basically it's all been nerfed now due to roof flares. Multiple flares in opposite corners of the base aren't going to be that absurd unless they're also multiple roof flares, in which case I'd say good job to the team for actually getting that many people on roofs at once, even if they're spies.

    Good times. :p

Even better times when you were able to insta-plant flares...

    1. find a slope where you can only slip off of it

    2. plant the flare

    3. defend your shit while you can

    4. watch as the enemy struggles to disarm the flare because lag

    5. ??????

    6. PROFIT!

  5. Questions:

    1. All the video recordings of pro-players I saw have them shooting in 3rd person. Does that help you aim better?

    2. What recording device do you guys use to record a game?

    1. 3rd person allows for V-aim (locked camera, free-moving reticle), the same kind of aiming system used for the snipers in APB Beta. Makes for simple point-and-shoot goodness.

    2. At least for me, I'm using OBS to record many of my games. No streaming, just local recording.

  6. No, because back then they ruined infantry combat. Maps where war factories were down and you couldn't do pretty much anything in terms of assaulting the enemy base because a sniper appeared and went NOPE.avi to your assault. Then there was the typical sniper kill whore who refused to buy anything or help the team in proper ways apart from just kill whoring.

It was even worse when the SVD was statistically different from the Enfield, I liked how the SVD was different but the Allied one was an instant kill, the Soviets might as well have just given up.

Pretty much this. Though I'm not afraid to admit that I enjoyed sniping pre-Delta, this is what thinned out servers. The winning team usually ended up prolonging an already one-sided game (depending on who had the more skilled players, of course), causing players from the losing team to just leave the game (and probably not rejoin after a while because of said prolonged game). And lol, Beta SVD...

  7. I forget if infiltrating the Construction Yard or Radar Dome did something; I want to say disable passive base repairs and reveal enemy positions respectively, although I could be wrong.

I don't remember what infiltrating the construction yard accomplishes, but I do remember that infiltrating the Radar Dome gave Allies permanent radar for the entire match even if either/both got destroyed.

  8. Just wanted to check if people are okay with her current anti-infantry Colt .45 damage. I admit I suck at using her, but 4~5 body shots just to kill a rifle soldier? Or maybe I just need to improve my aiming skills.

I feel Tanya is considerably more balanced against other infantry in Delta compared to previous versions where she'd easily kill infantry in 2-3 shots, including the versions that I worked on a couple years earlier. This time around, I'd say you can achieve that same lethality through well-aimed headshots.
