    (I'm looking at you UncleGrandma).

I once played a game of APB a while ago where it was just me vs him, and he/she/it said "Sorry, I don't play with losers" and left the game, just because I'm the only other player in the server. I'm pretty sure it's because of the fit he/she/it had when I was wrecking him in rebarn a few years earlier, and ended up getting kicked by someone else as a result of his/her/their excess salt.

It's ironic, because a move/gesture like that coming from somebody calling someone else a loser is just poor show.

  2. If you're a nurse or monitor technician working in a hospital's cardiac telemetry unit, this soundpack is (or isn't if you're that alarm-fatigued) for you!

This soundpack changes a lot of the EVA "X under attack" notifications in APB to use the sounds made by a cardiac monitoring machine, particularly from General Electric's series of cardiac monitoring machines.

    A video demo exists below:

    INSTALLATION

Download the RAR and unpack its contents into the following directory:

    Quote

    C:\Program Files (x86)\W3D Hub\games\apb-release\data

  3. This soundpack converts a lot of the engine start and idle sounds of the ground vehicles in Red Alert: A Path Beyond into (almost) perfect loops of Retrowave/Synthwave tracks.

The vehicles affected by this soundpack use the following songs:

** Note: The pitch factor has been adjusted in alignment with the V2 Launcher. Depending on the vehicle you are driving, the music pitch/speed may be higher or lower than normal.

You must drive at the vehicle's top speed to be able to listen to the loop as you normally would the actual music track. Otherwise, enjoy the sound of warble-y music :v

    DOWNLOAD THE SOUNDPACK HERE!

Modified 2017/05/13: Removed phase tank engine sounds due to server anti-cheat detection.

    INSTALLATION

Unpack the contents of the RAR file into the game's "data" folder. For reference, the installation path should be the following:

    Quote
    C:\Program Files (x86)\W3D Hub\games\apb-release\data\

Once unpacked, load up APB and play like it's 1996 all over again!

Special thanks to V0LK0V and Kicken for the original idea of the classic colors pack. Without them, this texture pack would not have existed for this long.

I also have OBS and I love how it records, except a few issues I experience but I don't like how it saves the recordings as VLC files. They don't work when I try to use another program to open them and I'm unable to use Windows Movie Maker.

Have you gone over your file output settings? You should have an option to set your recordings to output as mp4:

    OBS_output.jpg

Then again, it's been ages since I used WMM, and I don't remember whether it can support mp4...

Anyone know of a good, free recording program that can record a whole match in good quality and not take up a huge amount of HDD space? Some of the best moments I see happen when I'm not recording with Bandicam and it drives me nuts, so I want to record all the time.

I use Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) as an all-purpose recording software. The tradeoff with OBS is that you need to play with the settings a lot if you want to have good quality recordings, and have a pretty good system to boot.

I also have a YT channel, too. It's primarily muh games channel, and other shenanigans.

Hey guys can I ask if you use free targeting in 3rd person when using infantry? In these videos I always see 3rd person while the cursor moves around. Does v-targeting help in aiming that much?

In my opinion, yes. V-aiming locks the camera in place, so all that's left is (quite literally) point and shoot. Mileage may vary. Do keep your eyes on the reticle, because the stock one is about the size of a fruit fly for my screen resolution (2560x1440) and I had to make my own to see it properly as I do V-aim.

  8. My choices from highest to lowest priority:

A Path Beyond - The game's namesake map. I remember being able to get under the map and kill almost everything that can get into the MCT room of the conyard, and then some (and got kicked for it, ofc :3 )

Alpine Lake - There's something about me and large "scenic" maps. Alpine Lake was one of them. Condensing the bases a bit could be a little helpful especially when you've got nukes dropping at the other side of where you spawned.

Partium - This one is tied for Alpine Lake in terms of scenery. Plus, IIRC it's a symmetrical map. Partium was also that sort of meatgrinder map that I particularly enjoyed especially at high-playercount games. Basically whoever had the more powerful organized rush won the game.

Allied Assault - I remembered this as a 9935 tweekbee(?) map, a good complement to Seamist.

The Woods Today - The very first map I played in when I first started playing APB. Lagsniping from the allied hill was fun :v

I guess RGB lighting doesn't earn much style points, but still...

and then here come the aesthetics...

one good thing about RGB lighting is the almost-infinite (alright, 16.8 million) possibilities to lighting combos...

Another thing I like: fountain pens. They are a dying medium. Go write something once in a while, no matter how chickenscratch your penmanship is. This particular one is a Pilot Metropolitan, which only costs USD $15 on Amazon. Go get one - it's very nice to write with.

Another shot of my fountain pen set, this time featuring the following 3 pens (from top to bottom): Lamy Joy 1.5mm italic nib, Lamy Safari Medium nib with pink barrel/body, Lamy Al-Star Fine nib with black barrel/body.

The snobbiness doesn't stop here...I am a sucker for wristwatches too! Seiko is where it's at...but if I had to choose a swiss watch, it would be something from Omega.
