You got it. I'll take care of it tomorrow after work and PM you when I do. Same name there, right? -

I am ok with Voe being the tribute. Looks like this is a recurring event, so I might just have to take a vacation around the next one so I can do it next year. -

Don't think that you can call suspicion on someone for a reason that also applies to you, scumbag. ##vote VERTi60 -
Event Invitation to Mafia Championship

I don't know. Unless I get in to a major case, I think I probably only manage 4 posts per day phase here, and I tend to mostly observe Day 1. Having people online at the same time as me helps (which is why you and I cross swords so often), but I usually collect my thoughts into a small number of posts, usually once for each time I read the thread. Once in the morning, once after work, repeat. Of course, everyone else will be posting a lot too, which might mean there are more things to respond to, making it easier to hit that limit. However, how does "choosing a time limit" work? Every game needs a time, so I imagine it's voted on by the players in the game. If I got stuffed into a 12-hour and I had to post 10 times per game day, yikes! There are 16 hour periods where there's no way I get more than one post in. Is that a mistake by the way? Previous rules suggest that Day Phases are 36 or 72 hours long, with nights being 12 or 24. I imagine I could handle 10 posts in 72 hours... I'm also planning on running a game during a similar timeframe, as I'm finishing up preparation for Steins;Gate Mafia right now, which I'm expecting to start immediately after Jeod's upcoming game ends. I absolutely do not have enough time for both. I'll delay or stall my game if I have to, but I don't want to. I'm willing to be an alternate as mentioned in the link, but I don't want to be the first choice. Given that they want super active players, I think VERTi60 might be the best option. Through his constant GM work, he's proven he can be on the ball at all times. He's rarely had the chance to strut his own skills, but he's no slouch. Easily among the upper tier of players here. In my opinion, Chaos_Knight is the best player here, especially when on the mafia team. (I'm passable as town, but I'm miserable as mafia. In my opinion, anyway.) He generally talks even less than I do, though. Don't know how active he can get. Voe isn't a bad option either. He's crazy, but sometimes crazy gets it done. He'll have no problem completely rattling all these players who haven't met him. I have to admit that I've taken some of my current playstyle from his example, and seem to be better for it. I honestly do think Voe would do well, though I'd also be surprised if he stays alive long in any game. I'd mention Nodlied here, but he already excluded himself. Jeod excluded himself as well. ChopBam is also a solid player as well and should be considered as an option, if he wants it. OrangeP47, you're smart enough for the job, but you're inexperienced and it might bite you. We let you get away with some stuff that we wouldn't have let others get away with, just because you were new, and it eventually caught up with you anyway. You won't have that advantage there, where I expect few will know each other. We also don't know much of your ability to be a detective in a game without power roles. At the same time, knowing you have plenty of time on your hands is a big plus in a game where others might not have time to keep up. Not saying you shouldn't be a rep, though, because just like what happened in Death Note, your flaws could actually work against your opponents instead of you. I'd still support you doing it, but cautioning that your game needs work. And if we're digging into the oldbie crowd, Allie29/Hylius and pzeper would be amazing options, if we can find them. Lastly, I think no matter who actually is our rep, they won't exactly be going in alone. Well, unless there is a rule against players receiving input from spectators, as Jeod just referred to. -
I'm curious, why allow a player to use accumulated proposal/trust before modifying it by what other players did to it? For example, someone reset my trust to 60. If that took effect before the Debt Note, I'd not been able to target ChopBam. I think something similar would have happened to Jeod when I stole his trust. It didn't really seem like stat-changing abilities really did much since they took effect after, and inflation worked out in such a way that there was always so many more points coming in that starting values rarely mattered.

While I mostly agree with the above, I wonder what would have happened if the town reinforcements came into play? While in this game scum organized shockingly well and had some lucky breaks, they weren't too far away from having to deal with a "N Team" whatever that meant. Change one or two variables in this game and we get a rather different result. What if, for example, Orange never got L powers? How would they get a book? What if Nodlied was investigated instead of Voe? What would Voe have done with that? There's a lot of complicated stuff going on in this game, and while I feel the initial "loadout" of players was rather scum heavy, I can also see scum having a hard time actually getting books, keeping them once they have them, and using their abilities without being caught by CVC analytics.

Woah woah woah, man. Hold the phone. Apparently Nodlied's guilt-trip really hit home. You really don't have anything to be ashamed of KY. You were playing the role you were given and placed yourself in good position. I think you made a great villain, and great stories need great villains. Playing the way you did made the game better as you gave town (and me) something to fight against. I can't speak for what Nodlied was saying, but when it came to the comments I was making about you, I was doing so hoping to get the three of you to get suspicious of each other and maybe open a way to victory as a result. Emotional warfare was the only tool I thought I had to stop you all from winning. Thanks to ChopBam, that wound up not being necessary. Just like with Jeod, trying to stop you wasn't personal. Because of the events of the game, you weren't on my side, therefore I wanted to stop you. I do want to see you continue playing, as you've improved greatly in a short period of time and are a great player to have around. Don't take these things personal. We're not playing town vs mafia for real, and we don't (normally) have a choice on how to play or which goals to achieve. When you have to play scum, you can't feel bad about it.

I don't blame you guys for taking the actions you did. I don't view the decision to kill me as a betrayal, for example, because we were never on the same team, so there is no need to explain yourselves. It did, however, mean that from my perspective, we were clear enemies from that moment forward. Thus my motives for the remainder of the game.

No, and I didn't know that then, either. As far as I was concerned, you and OrangeP47 were a mafia team and I'd have to expect that any targets would have been discussed and agreed on between the two of you.

Oh no, man. It's nothing personal or based on past games or whatever. It's just part of what happened in this game. Think of it this way. I spent 48 hours on a rampage trying to take you and OrangeP47 down because it appeared I was going to die and you were responsible. And then you all gloated it up when it looked like you had it in the bag. In that moment, Town was my ally and we worked really well together. When I was gifted the second chance, I just had to find a way to take you all down if I could do it. After all that work, I just didn't want to drop everything and work with the enemy who just tried to kill me. Even if it meant I risked the win, it just didn't feel right to do that.

I'm not sure what you're talking about exactly, but if you mean his death wasn't as imaginative, well, that's because I didn't really want to do it in the first place. I was trying my damnedest to kill all of scum, including Jeod, before I turned my sights to winning. If that meant I would lose in the process, I didn't really care. I was prepared to work with ChopBam to make that happen and then see what I could do about winning alone. I did hope against all hope that Jeod would try to save Killing_You from dying by my hand so that my victory would be complete, but given that I had already told him I was trying to kill him, I knew this was exceptionally unlikely. VERT was understandably upset at me not seeking instant victory even though I knew I had a path to do so, and as night was extended I decided I'd rather have the game end. Really bugs me, though, because I was so close to getting an awesome turnabout out of this game.

I actually had to edit that blind. My video editor for some reason, depending on the file type, can either play video some of the time with huge input lag if I want to do anything, or play audio perfectly but never show me what is on the screen unless I stop the video and click on it. I didn't know if the file actually had a video on it until I uploaded it.

I think I figured out why you just gave in like that Killing_You. Your goal is to eliminate all competition, which means all Task Force and all other Kiras. Isn't that right? You can't kill me, so you can't do the latter unless I'm investigated and caught as an active Kira. As long as I don't do a kill and then get investigated by town, victory is impossible for you. You were also demanding a book from Jeod so that you could kill OrangeP47 with it. The excuse of needing to end the game with a book in hand was just an excuse to make that happen. That was the goal. Not only did you mislead Nodlied, but you were going to betray OrangeP47 as well.

Ok, I've haven't been so confused in a very long time. That makes two times you've surprised me. Your "reveal" caught me off guard even though I considered you a suspect. What's your game now?

I'm counting on Jeod killing you after revealing you. Hell, I suppose he doesn't even need to do that, does he? He could kill you whenever he likes. Right now, for instance. I'm pushing for this because I don't want to see you win. That's it. I can't lose. Jeod maybe can't lose. ChopBam and Nodlied can't win. You need Jeod to let you win. It doesn't technically matter to me if you win or not, but frankly it will be highly enjoyable to watch someone who thought he put himself in a strong position have his win taken away by the people he foolishly trusted. Wouldn't such an end be fitting for one such as yourself? I sure think so.

Look at this little scrub, Jeod. He talks big like he matters, but you literally control whether he succeeds or fails. If he were in a position where he'd gain from betraying you, you know he would in a heart beat. Crush this bug. ##vote Killing_You

How exactly are you in a position to hold him to do anything? And I understand where the fake came from. Last I knew, Nodlied had it. "How did OrangeP47 have it now?", is the question I was asking. I assume it was confiscated when Nodlied was investigated, but then Jeod should have it. How did OrangeP47 already have it.
