Why do you and I always have this thing early on in games where one of us completely misunderstands what the other is talking about? I haven't said anything about fishing. I described what part of what Shade is doing that I approve of, which was the reaction testing. You're the one talking about Shade fishing and have decided that because I support Shade in general that I must have the opposite opinion as you. You don't decide what my position on that is.

I don't know what your problem is. Shade asking for a volunteer doesn't actually sound that threatening to me, but iLTS was scared. I don't know if Shade is just bluffing or not, but I totally approve of drawing reactions like that on D1. iLTS is scared and now I want to see why. I see no reason to find Shade's tactic suspicious. If he was going to do something negative, I'd expect him to keep quiet about it. You can claim long-con, sure, but maybe wait for evidence of that before you start saying it.

We have that rule so that if someone "slips" and says something incriminating, they can't clean it up by editing the post. Other important rules are "Don't directly quote anything that the GM (Jeod in this game) sends you" and "If you are dead, you can no longer post in this thread" and "Don't talk about this game outside of this thread"

I don't think he was nitpicking that. He means that in general, it is regarded as smart to not lynch on Day 1, unless someone says something that you think is particularly suspicious.

Votes are not locked, and can be changed as many times as you like, until time for Day 1 ends.

Ok. So, the game just started. For the most part, the only thing any player knows is what their own role is, and which alignment they are. You should have checked your PMs to see that info. Everyone who is playing belongs to one of four possible alignments, Town (Good guys), Mafia (Bad guys), Third Party (Alternate Bad Guys who hate everyone), or Neutral (Matters to nobody). If you aren't Town, you have say which alignment you are immediately. Right now we're in Day 1. At this point we have to decide which player we want to remove from the game (called a lynch). We vote on this, and "No Lynch" is a possible option. If you are Town, you are looking to lynch Mafia or Third Party. If you are Mafia, you want to lynch Town or Third Party. If you are Neutral, you just want to stay alive. If you want to vote for a player, post ##vote <player name or no lynch> If your role has a day action, you may consider using it during this phase, but beware, day actions are usually limited is uses, so check your role PM for details. How you use any action should be detailed in your PM.
