  2. We are now in the PREGAME phase. Roles will be assigned, PMs will be sent, and preparation will be done.
  3. Turns out I suddenly have something tomorrow too... but that won't deter the start. I've decided to start this game 8 Hours Earlier than my original start time (13:00:00 GMT rather than 21:00:00 GMT) so this game starts at a reasonable time. Hammer time will remain at 21:00:00, which means that Day 1 will be 8 hours longer! If you suddenly want to join this game, you have 2 hours from this post. Then I will close signups and start the PREGAME phase, where I assign roles and prepare our players for the D1 start tomorrow.
  4. ROLE SHEET AND INFORMATION I've decided to post the role sheet with all the role names and the relevant information. Just as a note: There is no guarantee that these roles will appear in this game. A lot of these are red herrings intended to distract you, or possible roles for future games.   5. The role sheet (if I just outright don't decide to make this a closed game) will be basic. As I said in the OP: Good luck trying to argue the meta when there are more roles than players.
  6. Going to be quite honest. While this game was hilarious in parts, it was also probably the most frustrating to play AND watch.
  7. 9 Players have signed up so far. This game will not start until VERTi60's game is finished, so there is plenty of time to sign up if you still want to get in on the action. As for the roles: They are TBA when the player number is found. However, with 9 players I can get a good idea of what roles can be put into the game and be balanced. I'll post a role sheet in the future.
  8. I proposed the idea of another Back to Basics game in the dead doc of the recent APB Mafia IV game. The original Back to Basics was a game started by Allie29 to bring back the classic APB Mafia game style started by Gleadr after a large amount of games involving complicated mechanics or non-APB themes. While many of us enjoy these games for the fun and hilarity, some of us want to go Back to Basics. II. I'll stop now... Back to Basics Back to Basics is a return to form of the original APB-themed mafia. It involves a team of Allied players trying to eliminate an outpost of Soviet players. The Allies know who their teammates are, but are outnumbered, so must use their cunning and wit to fool the Soviets off their trail. The Soviets do not know who their teammates are, and must use their reasoning and critical thinking to find and lynch their opponents before they outnumber them. Along the way, there may be Neutral players with unique roles that may influence the game. This game will take place in-between VERTi60's APB Mafia IV and his next game, which is TBA. Rules & Mechanics unique to this game: This game has a day phase and a night phase. This game will start in the day phase. Masons, Allies, and Serial Killers will have their own doc to converse (or write insane notes) in. During the Night Phase, players are allowed TWO posts in the thread. Violation of this rule may result in a post restriction the next day, a mod replacement, or a mod kill depending on the severity of the infraction. Cop and Doctor roles are confirmed sane (No insane cops or paranoid doctors). As a result, Cops cannot (nor have any reason to) investigate themselves. Roles available in the game (and their actions) will be announced at the start of the game. Which roles available will depend on the number of signups. There is no indication of how many of each role is in-game however. The number may even be zero.   10. Oh I'm not going to sit here like Nodlied did last game and get bussed by my own teammate. But you know what? This explains a lot. The flavor of Isaac's Cybernetics being backed up (and Vert's statements that it could *maybe* be used again), Isaac claiming to have an "alternate" win condition if we fail, you leaving "temporarily" because you didn't want to partake in our shady deals. You were originally Daniel Molotov, but it appears that you were converted by Voe into a cult, who is DEFINITELY NOT harmless considering the Cybernetic Upgrade Center's flavor. I have reason to believe he is involved in a "part 2" of this game like the first (and to an extent, third) game. ##vote Voe Kill me if you wish, I lost a teammate to a cult and another to a bombing. I have no nightkill nor ammunition. I have no chance anymore. But take care of that cult before it spreads more. Actually, I wonder if this works. Incase it does: I am Yuri Molotov, and I like Big Guns. Indeed, I am a Mammoth Tank, it was my request after all! But I was part of the Molotov Brothers Third Party faction with Isaac and Jeod. Our goal was to kill Allies and Soviets before they discovered the cybernetic shipment within the convoy, which was top secret. But that was completely blown by Isaac's death, since he was the only person able to reload us. He also had the ability to upgrade us (As Jeod says) with 25% higher chance to kill (hence why I had no problems shooting Killing_You. I knew it would kill him) and a BulletProof modifier (hence why neither of us were granted BP. That was Isaac's job). Isaac only managed to get the upgrade on me before his death though, so this is why I have no ammunition. ##SUICIDE
  11. I specifically said I couldn't protect anyone last night during D2. The frequency for protection is once every 2 nights, same as the Heavy Tank. I can protect someone this night with that knowledge. I still indeed would like to see Chopbam actually fire his "reloaded" weapon. So yes Chopbam, shoot for some laughs if you want. Let's confirm your claim.
  12. Now, as for your alternate targets? Mojo must be a building. Unless we have flying aircraft carriers in this game, that's going to be a guaranteed wasted shot. Voe is a decent thought, though as I said before his claim is too surreal to be lying. I doubt a SAM Site could easily kill a Forklift.
  13. Go ahead then. Let's remove the variables. As an aside: This will confirm that you are indeed a SAM Site Chopbam. If you want to wait for Jeod to come back to explain himself, that's fine. But if you don't fire today, then I may have reason to believe you have reloaded... and therefore your claim. *have not reloaded
  14. You want to fire at me instead then, confirm that I am not an air unit? Go ahead. But find out that you will waste a shot on a ground unit.
  15. I have reason to doubt Chaos_Knight's claim. He claims to be a MiG when we already have two soviet air units. While he claims to vouch for FRAYDO, this could simply be due to process of elimination (he's the only unclaimed player). We have a SAM Site, so there most likely is a Longbow as well. He's also been after me for a lynch nearly the entire game for dubious reasons. This also would explain why Isaac was killed: To get rid of the last unclaimed player to make his claim look better (He might have done the opposite if he killed Isaac). Remember that this night WAS a night for Longbows to engage. Chopbam: Engage Chaos_Knight. We have a 2/3 chance of this being a good thing. If it misses, we KNOW he isn't a MiG (lying scum then). If it kills a Longbow, then we have killed our scum.

Isaac_The_Madd: Third Party apparently. Confirmed existence of a third party, unknown details. Unconfirmed: Jeod: Claimed Soviet Tracker, now Neutral apparently. Chaos_Knight: Claimed Soviet MiG. Claims to vouch for FRAYDO. FRAYDO: Apparent Airfield. Did not engage Mojoman, which is highly suspicious. Mojoman: Liar. Probably scum. Chopbam: Claimed SAM. Has shot available today though, so unlikely to be lying. Voe: Neutral Cult Leader With this in mind, here is my personal list of Lynch Targets: Voe: Kill the Kingmaker FRAYDO: Confirm Airfield Chopbam: Confirm SAM Personally I'm suspicious of FRAYDO's motives at least.
  17. FRAYDO probably had no idea about Cat5. They likely didn't know who each other were until they joined the mason. What I'm REAL mad about is why FRAYDO did not engage Mojoman. Actually, that's something I want to hear from him. FRAYDO: Why did you not engage Mojoman last night?
  18. Someone is lying here. These numbers don't add up. If FRAYDO is Town, then this means we have two allies if we consider Mojo as allied and everyone else already claimed Soviet. I know this isn't the case, especially with the third party in existence. Chopbam: You have a shot available to use, right?

  21. Well this doesn't make any sense. At all. Chaos_Knight claimed MiG. This, along with the Spy Plane and Yak, means we MUST have an airfield around. I'm suspecting either Isaac or FRAYDO, as they are the only two players who we haven't really looked at yet. But this leaves absolutely no room for a third party faction. I'm suspecting SOMEONE of lying, and it isn't Cat5 or Nodlied. Chaos_Knight got his shot stuck. This could be RNGesus striking us back again, but it could also mean he is a spy. Tomorrow he should be landing however. He can confirm WHO is the airstrip, assuming he is a Soviet air unit. He could not be though, and this concerns me. Category5: This is what happens when you don't tell the full truth, especially under these conditions (double plus when you are about to be lynched yourself). Lynch all Liars is in effect here. Unfortunately Mojo can't be lynched, but he's next. WHOEVER THE AIRFIELD IS: Bomb Mojo please. Let's end him here and now.
