  1. We do need to hear the opinions of others on what's been going on (especially those who have been quiet) before the day is over.
  2. Only if I'm convinced he's going to shoot somebody who's town. But at this point, I don't think that's necessary.
  3. So instead of further investigating people on D1 and maybe getting scum, you want to go ahead and kill somebody who you see as being town?
  4. So then why do you want to lynch him before he can use it?
  5. Like I've pointed out earlier, I can't know the meta on certain people here or my memory has gotten fuzzy over the years. I took what he said at face value and wanted to keep him from potentially randomly killing somebody and ending D1 early (which is what it seemed he was claiming he could do). Based on what others have said (i.e. Vertigo and Nodlied) I don't think he's going to go all Clint Eastwood on us tomorrow.
  6. Yeah, I can't make an accurate meta call on his aggressiveness. However, as I was writing that up I found the quote from him when he had revoted for Jeod. That seals the deal for me and seems like a slipup as scum.
  7. Messed up pasting my formatted post, this part was supposed to go right below the quote box. "Now if that isn't a scum tell, I don't know what is. If you think Jeod is trying to get scum to target him tonight, then you must think he's a town member or some weird 3rd party that's going right after scum on D1 (which is unusual). I haven't seen you saying anything about him being 3rd party, which means that you think Jeod is a town member and that you still want to kill him."
  8. I've just read through the latest posts and I think I've got a clear choice for who to vote for. First of all, not all roles are created equal in mafia. Some roles are just more powerful than other roles; the power of a role is generally not a valid meta point to make. It's not like Jeod claims he can kill whoever he wants and is completely invincible. Jeod: I think Jeod's actions are suspicious. You could spin his actions as being pro-town by saying that he was trying to get discussion going. However, I think there are better ways to get discussion going and he could be setting up a trap (I've done similar things in the past when I've been mafia). Now he's a target of interest for role investigators, bodyguards, etc. What if mafia has a watcher? Now they have a better chance at catching any cop we have. Mafia is a mind game, but there are things you can do to improve your chances as scum. I don't think there's anything conclusive yet on Jeod, I am concerned with his actions. He could be mafia trying to setup a trap or he could be a "loose cannon" town member. It's been a while so I can't recall how much of one he was as town. It's also possible that he's a 3rd party; that could explain early game aggressiveness and any extreme disparity in role power. In summary, I'm wary of Jeod but I don't think there's enough evidence to warrant a lynch yet. I also caution anybody thinking of visiting Jeod tonight to be extra careful. He is an obvious target for investigation and the mafia would have to be moronic no to realize that as well. Shade: I have played with people in the past who were as "hostile" as Shade has been and they were still town. Still, I haven't played with him before and I don't know just how much he usually plays like this (and more importantly what faction he is when he does). However, he has several red flags for me. First, he seemed very relieved when I roleblocked Jeod. Yes, Jeod was effectively waving around something that looked like a loaded gun in a crowded room; but Shade seemed eager to jump on Jeod in a bandwagon once it seemed like this threat was neutralized. Second, assuming I'm not misreading his posts, it seems that he is now advocating that we lynch Jeod not because "I think he's scum" but because "he seems bad for town and we can't be too sure". When he revoted for Jeod, he said: In conclusion, I think Shade has made a massive slipup in his posts by admitting that he thinks Jeod is town and wants to still lynch him on D1. So, my vote goes to Shade. ##vote Shade
  9. Well, he did nothing because he got roleblocked... Anyways, need to go and cut out the posting, I'll be back later tonight, review what's new, and maybe be at the point where I'm ready to vote.
  10. You're being pretty inconsistent Jeod. I should have a post up before 10 PM EST.
  11. Forgot to add, anybody want to provide some meta commentary on Shade? Haven't played with him before so I can't know if this is his playstyle. I would like to hear your take on things, just to make sure I'm not misreading things. Again, haven't played with you before so I don't have any past experiences to guide me.
  12. So, I'll need to think about it a bit more and I'll make a full post later tonight, but I'm leaning towards Jeod or Shade for scummiest player today. Jeod is acting aggressively and against the interests of the town and Shade sure was quick to jump at Jeod's throat.
  13. I've played in a few games here and elsewhere where somebody had a one-time ability to cause an early hammer.
  14. You say that you're "going to get rid of him now". Are you threatening to kill Jeod or cause an early hammer. As for Jeod, this tells me a little bit, but I can't 100% confirm anything. All we know for sure is that he's not doing anything today.
  15. That was weird... was trying to quote you and then the post thing crashed, working on a post.
  16. Let's wait until after my action is resolved before we start jumping to conclusions...
  17. ChopBam, what are your thoughts and the goings on of today?
  18. So, you have a day kill that buffs one of us AND you're lynch proof?
  19. Has ChopBam posted anything yet? Can't recall seeing much of anything.
  20. A dayblock will stop you from hammering early (which is what I thought you were going to do).
