  1. Based on post count, it seems like Orange and Shade have played a decent amount of mafia. Are they experienced?
  2. That's what I was thinking. But I've played enough mafia games where town screws over town (or scum pretends to be town screwing over town...).
  3. I will neither confirm or deny, but you're at least in the right universe.
  4. It'll keep you from doing anything during the day. And if you weren't actually going to do an early hammer and kill somebody right now you phrased your original post very poorly.
  5. If you're who you think I you are, you'll be fine. D1 is one of the few days I don't like ending early. Especially when a bunch of players haven't said much yet and we've got another 24 hours to go.
  6. Killing a random player and threatening to hammer on D1 before all players have had a chance to contribute and not even being halfway through the day? I don't think so. ##Forbidden Sun Jeod
  7. @Nodlied Correct me if I'm wrong, but with my basic understanding of WH40K lore, the emperor wants to kill most (if not all) gods?
  8. Nope, had just been thinking about what flavor each person would pick. Space emperor just never crossed my mind for you.
  9. For me, I see it as a playstyle leaning more towards scummy. The mafia almost always know who's on their team, spreading confusion about your alignment doesn't usually help town. While it's true that you can use it defensively to get yourself lower on the mafia hitlist it can also backfire when you're less trusted by the town. I don't find it generally suspicious to spread confusion about your role, but that's not exactly what Jeod is doing. In summary, I think Jeod has gone past the point of being "lolD1Phase" with the claim about what he sent as a role request in his PM. He's not just trying to spread confusion about his role, but also his alignment. I don't think confusing people about your role is necessarily harmful, but confusing town about your alignment is. Scum already know who's on their team, you're not doing them any harm by trying to make reads on your alignment murky.
  10. Regardless of your personal playstyle, I find it suspicious to play at being a certain flavor/role, then deny being that role, confirm you had requested that role (among others), and then insinuate you're a town power role trying to stay out of the mafia's sights. Some of those on their own are inconsequential. But when you put them all together it does indeed shine a spotlight on you. I still want to hear what others think, but you're my #1 suspect.
  11. Possibly, but it's not conclusive. I've done crazy things in past mafia games and gotten away with it *COUGH*DS4*COUGH*.
  12. From what I can recall, most D1 phases were at least somewhat of a joke seeing as how there's pretty much nothing to go off of. But, out of all the info we have, you are at least making some kind of softclaim to being a trickster of sorts. I would think of a trickster as most likely being a 3rd party. Followed by mafia and then town. While we don't have much to go off of we do have to start somewhere. So Jeod, why would you think that a trickster god would be aligned with town instead of some other faction?
  13. Whether or not you're Loki, you are softclaiming the role of a trickster god. While you could make a case for some trickster gods to be town, most would be scum or 3rd party. It's been about two or three years since I played a mafia game with Jeod so I've slipped out of "the meta". Can anybody verify whether or not Jeod typically acts like this on D1?
  14. If you really are Loki (which you seem to be heavily implying), that tells us nothing and could be interpreted either way! I would think a trickster god is more likely to be "evil", but Loki has done good and evil in multiple works.
  15. And I don't particularly think of a trickster as a good guy...
  16. One of my favorite roles in a past game was when I asked to be the co-mod for a CYOR.
  17. I think I played a game years ago where somebody was Link from OoT and another was Link from WW. That was pretty funny to see.
