  1. Say, Chaos--what did you get to do with the trust points? I'm curious.
  2. Well now. I suppose you guys better do something about these suspicion points or it'll be easy for anyone to elude investigation--simply by causing a tie.
  3. Thanks but I'm dedicated to Chatzilla.
  4. Nothing. I am not a Kira. Otherwise you would have discovered a notebook.
  5. It was something like this... /* W3DHUB IRC PLUGIN SCRIPT * AUTHOR: JEOD * WEB: http://www.w3dhub.com * CONTRIBUTORS: */ plugin.id = "w3dscript"; plugin.minor = 0 plugin.major = 1 plugin.version = plugin.major + "." + plugin.minor; plugin.description = "Allows direct connection to W3D games using IRC commands"; plugin.init = function initPlugin() { /* This function is called when the IRC client first loads the plugin. * It is where we will define new commands */ plugin.cmdary = [/* command name function flags usage*/ ["apb", cmdAPB, null, "null"], ["addserver", cmdAddServer, null, "null"], ["delserver", cmdDelServer, null, "null"], ["listserver", cmdListServer, null, "null"], ["gamepath", cmdProgPath, null "null"], ["autoauth", cmdAuth, null, "null"] ]; client.commandManager.defineCommands(plugin.cmdary); } function cmdAPB() { /* This function enables the user to start APB by passing * included parameters to the executable. The parameters passed * are the server ip address and the desired player name. */ } function cmdAddServer() { /* This function enables the user to add servers to a file. * The user can set nicknames for servers. */ } function cmdDelServer() { /* This function enables the user to delete servers from a file. * The user can set nicknames for servers. */ } function cmdListServer() { /* This function enables the user to list all the servers in a file. * The user can set nicknames for servers. */ } function cmdProgPath() { /* This function enables the user to set the path to their executable. */ } function cmdAuth() { /* This function authenticates the user automatically when they join a server * that they are a moderator in. */ }
  6. Thanks for the tip! But, the reason I used the IRC script so much was because it was easy as a mod. Since my scripts ran clientside, I had an auto-auth script as well as the launcher script which would let me keep IRC open and pop into a server at any given moment with ease. Chopam, have any insight for this kind of project?
  7. Because in the event of a tie, whoever has the most suspicion points gets investigated. Voe cast 100 on me, later realized he fucked up, and is now trying to capitalize on his mistake by ensuring I take part in a tie.
  8. Voe just wants to make use of his points. I highly doubt he has any other reason to vote me. There's a 3-way tie currently.
  9. How interesting. Did my previous post trigger you? I said, "not that it matters for myself" because I'm active, not because I have some secret to hide.
  10. A long time ago, I had an IRC javascript that could be loaded into my Chatzilla client. I could run APB and pass parameters with this script by typing in a command, like the following: !apb <server> <name> This would translate to "C:\Program Files(x86)\W3DHub\A Path Beyond\game.exe" +connect <server> +netplayername <name> The script would store a preset list of server IPs that I could have names for and store the path to the exe. I could use additional commands like: !path <gamepath> !server <ip> <nickname> A real-time command, in this case, would be: !apb official Jeod Where 'official' would be the official server IP and the name would be my username. In the back-end, the result would be: "C:\Program Files(x86)\W3DHub\A Path Beyond\game.exe" +connect 178.162.193.144:9016 +netplayername Jeod I don't recall how I made this. Is someone out there knowledgeable enough to recreate this?
  11. Do you use an external app like Steam or Origin to launch the Launcher, like I do?
  12. Never had it happen before the forum update.
  13. Okay, so we have something to go on regarding the activity rule. Can you tell us if it's a time limit or daily post limit you're looking for? Not that it matters for myself, but information is information.
  14. Well, as a matter of fact I now have same screen you have. Before I checked again, I had an entirely blank screen. If it helps any, I have been using Steam to open the launcher. Perhaps the Steam Overlay affects the launcher somehow?
  15. This is the reason I haven't played APB in over two weeks.
  16. Not to burst your bubble, but L knew about Shinigami before he actually discovered one because a certain Kira let slip that they exist. Remember that in this game we are all 'unknowns'. We don't start off knowing that we're all human, for example. I'm with CK on the agenda thing and this is why we all appear neutral at the moment. However, I do have two small reasons to want to investigate Nodlied today. The first being that he just returned the favor by giving CK 20 trust points, yet that boon only happens when a player has a majority of trust points. It's currently at a tie, so Nodlied may have done that to appear willing and trustworthy. Second, I think that if Shinigami exist in this game then the Kiras (if there's more than one) would be actively trying to hide their existence for as long as possible. ##propose trust Chaos Knight 1 ##vote Nodlied
  17. That said, I do not think Voe has a Death Note the moment. He isn't worth investigating yet.
  18. There is no lynching in this game. The only way deaths occur is via nightkills. Lynching has been replaced with 'investigating'. We will learn a player's identity, and if they have a Death Note at the time of the investigation, then it is removed from play.
  19. Shinigami, also known as "gods of death", cannot be seen by mortals unless they have touched a part of a Death Note. Thus, they are the most likely to have some kind of special circumstance if chosen for investigation. http://deathnote.wikia.com/wiki/Shinigami I chose to start by explaining the Shinigami because they are the origin of the Death Note, and through the Death Note, Kira. It's a safe bet at least one exists in this game and it helps to be prepared for the possibilities.
  20. Alrighty, I'm home! Time to see what's going on... Ok, starting with the Day 1 post: Verti mentions the goal 'of the day'...which could mean that day goals can change throughout the game. Take this with a grain of salt, since he could be talking about game days in general. Kira needs to know the true identity of a player to be able to kill them at night. However, we cannot make much progress ourselves without investigating players during the day, which in turn enables Kira(s) to make the night kills. If a hammer occurs, the day does not end early, but votes cannot be changed. S Points cause a player to be favored for investigation in the event of a tie T Points can grant special night actions to the player with the most T Points at the end of a day Inactive players will periodically lose T Points and gain S Points. It is not currently said what the activity threshold is for this. Each player starts with 100 Proposal Points, which they use to grant other players S Points or T Points. Players can have items that allow special day actions. Now, as for the lore I know that could be useful: This game appears to have begun just after Light has killed the twelve FBI agents in Japan. This is just after Episode 5 of 37. Probably doesn't mean much. A note on Shinigami: they are gods of death and the original owners of Death Notes. As gods, they cannot normally die. Their jobs are to write names in the Notes, though. So, if a Shinigami chooses to save a life, this goes against their nature and will kill the Shinigami. Only humans who have touched a Death Note can see Shinigami. This means that, if any of us is a Shinigami, the investigation at the end of a day might be different depending on who has had a Death Note in their possession. Shinigami can teleport and walk through walls, and cannot be attacked physically. If a Shinigami's Death Note comes into human possession, the Shinigami must stay with the human until they give the Note back willingly or die (google doc masonry perhaps?) Shinigami can grant an ability called Shinigami Eyes to their human partner. The ability allows humans to see the true identities of others, at the cost of half of their lifespan. Unknown what effect this may have in the game. There are three prominent Shinigami: Ryuk, who is Light's partner in the anime; Rem, who is Misa Amane's partner in the anime; and Sidoh, who is the owner of the first Note that Ryuk drops into the human world. One or more of these roles may show up at some point. Light Yagami. You're outclassed here.
