  1. Oh, I know that guy since 2004-2006. When I searched tools for extracting of files from MIX archives and few editors which I was missing, I found his website. He literally has a LIBRARY of CDs, that's quite a golden treasure to see those in one place. Translations, rare files, archives, old editors... And he has digital library as well, so do not forget to visit!

  2. I completely reworked difficulty settings, players can now fight with few bots in their own team against large hostile forces. This makes matches even more insane and intense. C4s and shots are literally everywhere inside your base if server set the difficulty to Difficult or even Hard. The game is now completely Co-operative, no more players vs players battles.

New difficulty settings are: Extreme (without reinforcements), Very Hard (with just few bots) Hard (defense tactics) Difficult (less bots for your own team, more for opposite) Normal (the same amount of bots and players vs bots) Easy (less bots for opposite team, more for your own) Beginner (just few hostile bots), and also one difficulty for testing purposes (no bots for opposite team).

I removed separate parameters of bots for both teams, instead there are just one parameter and two new fuctions which calculate how many bots are allowed to spawn for each team.

    Great work man!

I started to work on Tension, saw it in my dream today playing all over and over again in my head.

  4. Uploaded to YouTube today. One of my favourite remakes that I made, it was a huge fun to make it happen, especially I liked the process of composing it from scratch with some of those original instruments from far past. Even 2 years later, I still remember that it was really great adventure, a time machine.

I also heard that toshiba stopped making laptops?

Truth. There are no trades of Toshiba laptops in Russia anymore, but other things, and also parts for PCs are still exist, so this is a proof of what happened with Toshiba. They restructured their business to make more income and profit, so yeah... sad news, I know. Money changes everything, even good things. I remember times when I used old Toshiba 6 kg laptop, I could barely hold it and play the game at the same time, but it was reliable and lived almost forever.

[blurb]Tiberian Sun turns 20 years old today! Join us as we reminisce on one of the games that has truly inspired us over the years![/blurb]

I love Tiberian Sun, its mods, its modding tools, and TSR. That's anything that I wish to say.

Also, a good thing to read: https://www.escapistmagazine.com/v2/2019/08/27/remembering-command-conquer-tiberian-sun-on-its-20th-annivesary-with-former-westwood-studios-design-director-adam-isgreen/

  7. I am not familiar with the newest laptops, because I am still with my Acer Aspire AOD250, I completely assembled my own PC by my own hands, but maybe you can try ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 for that price. I actually do not like ASUS, but this is what guys say about this model (the configuration may be different, however):

+ processor Ryzen 3 and higher
+ playable FPS in new games, stable run of different programs
+ 512 GB SSD (but may be lower), 8 GB RAM
    + keyboard with LED lights
+ 15.6 inches TFT screen (I actually kinda hate LED, it is not soft for my eyes)

    - very soft, so you need to be careful with its case, keyboard, and especially with screen
    - may be a bit louder than your previous laptops
    - in some videogames may be little video card drawdowns, but they are not affecting gameplay much
    - normal sound card, but I strongly recommend to buy USB-soundcard for music, but you can still try the in-built (for DJs, music composers, etc. - at least Behringer or Focusrite Scarlett) and then apply DFX-plugin on it if you need a thin 3D sound (you can install and apply that plugin for USB sound card as well)

I do not recommend to buy any Lenovo, HP, and DELL, because they are mostly do not meet your conditions and requirements. You can still try Lenovo or DELL, but at least I heard from my friend that Lenovo is something like a broken dish from each side.

Also, some ASUS models (and gaming laptops are not an exception) may be hot stoves. So, try with caution, place cooling device under it or near to it, or put your laptop on a thin surface, and you should be probably ok.

Jerad told me you have to disable use pathfinding for VTOL bots in their movement order.

If I disable pathfinding, I still need to configure bots for gameplay. I actually hate the idea of waypoints, so instead I will try other ways.

  9. Few days ago... I successfully ported bots to... ancient BHS Update 3.4.4. LOL. And guess, which map I've used to do this? Of course, it is C&C_Ancients.mix! The point of such bicycle is to make my old laptop which has Scripts 3.4.4 installed work with bots made for the latest TT Update, so now I can have fun even without Internet connection, far away from home

For bots which are for TT Update, I added a map C&C_City, but it seems bots there cannot get to enemy base in time being destroyed at bridge or under it. I hope to introduce flying bots somehow, but this is not an easy task, I do not use any waypaths at the moment. In Commando Asssault, there were flying bots, they were piloting Orca-fighters and Apaches. But Orca was the only unit which had a lot of potential firepower because of rockets as primary weapon, GDI were using it like true aces, even during battles in the sky.

Wow, Renegade EVA even had lines for construction and all that?

Yes, the game still has those samples. The first tutorial Westwood Studios ever planned to do was with Construction Yard, and Logan Sheppard said some words about it.

In all fairness, what we showed is literally just a test map. We weren't trying to rip you or anyone else off.

No, I am just analizing what is new and what was already made by W3D Hub community, by me, and by other people. It will be good if you can return the great Renegade Sole Survivor standalone videogame back to life at some point, with features from W3D Hub games.

I remember that thing in first Counter-Strike too, but it was a little bit different from APB. I just shot two snipers on cs_dust2 from basic automatic rifle from a distance of few feets, they were standing on spawn and aiming at gates. Not even bots, but experienced players, so that was lol too :D
