1. Lol it is simple, not a labyrinth. Put it this way, I'm thinking that there will be a big set of stairs that go up to the top or you can take the lift if you like. Not complicated at all. I also have something grand planned for the Soviet Battle Lab
 2. Indeed. Here is the other picture.
 3. I'll find the other image when I get home.
 4. There will be a balcony on top of the Allied Airforce Command HQ.but we aren't encouraging heavy sniping in AR. There will only be a 1 in 5 chance each map that you will be able to use the sniper since only Britain get the sniper as their country specific unit.
 5. Haha, even I fell for that trick. Westwood Studios/EA screwed up that particular install image.
 6. Huh, I neither confirmed or denied the use of MCTs. The Battlelab would most likely have a mainframe computer as the building weakpoint. Pictures perhaps... I can't see them at the moment because my college internet blocks them.
 7. Yes. Here is some inside shots of the Shinra Building.
 8. I would like to build levels into it, perhaps about 5 or six joined by simple staircases and a lift that takes you to one floor below the top. Then the top floor is the executive room, much like the top of the Shinra tower.
 9. Probably a glass lift and a fire escape style stair case Probably like The Shinra building from Final Fantasy 7.
 10. Welcome to the blog! Take a look below for what you want to read.
The Stuff of Renegade Legends
For nearly a year now I have been trying to track down various leaders of dead or incomplete mods so that we may use their assets, propelling our progress and also getting the models actually used so that the work did not go to waste. You may remember the Renegade TC Mod that was hosted over at C&C Reborn's forums, Red Alert 2: Vengeance. It can still be found on Moddb. Well, I recently got into contact with community scripting legend, TheKGBSpy, (RA2:Vengeance Mod Leader) who has taken a look at what we have going on here and has agreed to pass us some assets over that will, potentially, boost the backbone of our mod and get it into gear for serious testing. So I would like to take this oppertunity to pay homage to the Red Alert 2: Vengeance Team for all the blood sweat and tears they put into the mod over the course of it's active life. We shan't let you guys down, that's for sure,
Renders
I have some cool renders for you. Firstly there is a combo mambo of the Allied Battle Lab, a collab of Ric's and Sven's models to produce this wild offspring. Secondly we have the Mirage Tank which has been getting updated constantly since last year, the tracks need replacing but other than that it is ready for unwrapping.
AR TV
This is an exciting new scheme that will hopefully be put into place in the near future. This is what Merovingian had to say about it just before his Macbook's screen failed. Obviously we would notify when AR Team was starting in the official IRC channel. Server: irc.n00bstories.com Channel: #apocrising We will probably broadcast model showcases as well as a few other cool things. A small walkthrough of the latest test, perhaps stay tuned to see how this unfolds.
End
Mero's Macbook's screen was faulty. He sent it back so he will be out of action for 2-3 weeks My internet is being a bitch and it keeps disconnecting. I have been assured that this will be fixed by the weekend. Also next week is my last week of college before the summer holidays I met Aidoneus last thursday when I went to London. We went for a pint and posed with a Storm Trooper and a Clone Trooper outside the Star Wars convention. And then posed on the Westminster bridge before bidding each other farewell. According to Aido there are four ways to go in London, starting from the London Eye. There is Theatre Land, Tourist Land (gr8 h8), Parliament Land (yawn) and Buisness Land... London is an adventure, rly. We have come a long way since the days of Conscript vehicle nicking. We will not be stopping anytime soon... For all you doubters out there. See you all next week for more Spar-- I mean RA2:AR
 11. Look at the cameo for the unit.
 12. Grow up >_> Then again..... don't
 13. Hello and welcome to this week's blog where we have a lot of stuff for you to see and watch. I havn't been too quick this week at making this since I have a cold which I can't seem to shake off. Ah well onto the blog!
New Wheels
I recently made some new wheels which look 100 times better than the old round crap we were using before. Here is a selection of units that have had some sexy wheel treatment.
Competition Results
Here are the results for the competiton. TagDaze has won but since he is being a gentleman, he has let his prize slip to second place, so the winners are as follows. -=Winner=- Jupiter =Runners Up= Iscream4pork Mammutpanzer Tomatoslayer/cmatt42 Congratulations to everyone who entered. It was a great competition
AR Alpha Video
Today, I cobbled up a video for you all to see which mainly shows off our Mirage Tank logic and how awesome it is. Also you get to hear what I sound like with a cold [/sympathyvote] Alright here it is. >>>Video<<<
New Old Website
People have been asking "where is the AR site?"... Some people have even been going on as to accuse APB of hogging all the glory. Well the answer to all your queries (except forum skin ones) is right below this paragraph. Our old friend Assassin made us this website a while ago when we were back at C&C Source. As a testament to the time they put up with us for, we are going to be recoding and reusing it (once I get it). This is not to be confused with the forum skin that drunkill has offered to cook up after APB Beta has been released. AR Website
Miscellaneous Items
Info's for this week are as follows. We are now testing what we have in a series of tests with our new Core. We hope to get this standalone as soon as we can get some more assets completed. I'm off to London tomorrow on a college trip to the science meseum, but also to seek out the ellusive creature known only as Aidoneus! Expect pictures in the member photo's forum soon after my return It was Coolrock's birthday yesterday! Everybody wish him a Happy Late Birthday! Congratulations to Eggman891 who recently became an AR tester (There's your cue Chronojam) We have some secret internal discussions going on at the moment that could potentially propell us forward to that December release date as more of a confirmation than of a vague idea. Expect updates on this to follow. Tune in next week for more RA2:AR!
 14. Cheers Steppo Very witty as usual
 15. You couldn't have been more wrong
 16. 1. The Allies will hear a ticking noise if the big TnT is placed on an MCT or bridge control thingy. 2. Yes you are right. The Harrier will crash if not on an airpad. It is still to be debated on whether we add the extra functionality of being able to land at tech airports. The Harrier may also feature a small feature that enables you to check whether the harrier is occupied from a distance. If the the Harrier is empty the top hatch will be open, but if someone is inside it the hatch will be closed. We like attention to detail like that. 3. Around the 3000 poly mark. Cheers Aido
 17. Welcome to this week's blog. I'll rattle through some new features that we will be adding soon.
Running through houses! Whoooo!!!
This is great. BogdanV has been working on map objects that you can run over or through. Essentially, destructable scenery. I talked about this a little in the podcast a few weeks ago and I think I remember saying that I would find you a video. So I will. Note: Ignore the screaming on the first video, replacing humans with walls does that Tanks > Walls & Trees WallTreeTests4.WMV Tanks > Houses CrushTest2.wmv
I'm TnT, I'm Dyanamite!
Crazy Ivan usually explodes onto the battlefiled with his throwing arm ready to throw sticks of dynamite at everything that moves. Ivan carrys a lot of small separate sticks of dynamite that he can throw a long way with ease. This makes him dangerous to the allies. He can't throw his bigger charges very far compared to his smaller charges so he chooses to only carry a certain number of them. Nobody knows how he can carry all of those smaller charges though, he seems to pull them out from everywhere. One such charge has miraculously appeared in one of our renders. Model by Svensmokavich, unwrap and texture by Chevy787. (This texture may only be a temporary fixture however)
Random stuff
Frankly there isn't anything else that really deserves it's own section, so I'll sum it up here. Harriers and other planes: with our plane units, we are hoping to incorperate evasive manouvers. This means you'll be able to loop the loop, dive down sharply and also "DO A BARREL ROLL!" by holding a certain key down and pushing one of the movement buttons (WSAD etc.). This will enable harrier pilots to really become pilots and not just be flying a plane with helicopter physics. Be careful though, your planes cannot land anywhere but at your Air Force Command. Landing elsewhere will result in you and your plane blowing up horribly. This is primarily because the landing gear only interacts with the Air Force Command HQ and that Harriers are only designed for quick strike missons and not a fast unit transport to the enemy base. That is what the Nighthawk is for. V3 unwrap: Ric has been hard at work on the V3 unrwrap and it is now complete. Check it out! Expect this ingame soon Exams: Are all done and dusted for most of the AR staff if not all of them. We'll be working like stink on the mod over the holidays to get most of the assets done ready for some testing.
Competiton
The competition is currently being judged. The winners will be announced next week and given their prizes! Note to entrants: TagDaze has said that if he comes first in the competition he is offering to give his prize to second place so everyone moves up a rank. The reasoning behind this is that he didn't seem it fair because he has been doing voice over work for over a year now. Big respect to TagDaze for doing this. It take a lot of balls to potentially give up such a fabulous prize. Speaking of TagDaze, it is his Birthday today so I would like to take this oppertunity to wish him a happy birthday and best wishes for the future!
The Ultimate Sound Mod!
Thats right my friends. My sound mod is done. Me and my brother, TurboDiRT, created some sounds, I edited them to go ingame and Saberhawk made me an installer for it This is not your average sound mod. This mod does not try to make the sounds realistic in any way. This is a comedy mod for Red Alert: A Path Beyond Version 0.9935 (Another version will be released when APB Beta is released). Most of the sounds are replaced with human sounds. It is hard to explain but you will get what I mean once you try it out. >>Link to download<<
End of File
Thats it folks. Check back here next week for some cool stuff and yeah.... cool stuff EDITHAX: Lets play a game of spot the Mirage Tank! Brought to you by DP88 Games!
 18. True. ^5 to Category5 for being like a hawk on any mention of this cursed date.
