If you are using Windows 7 you may have problems connecting to our backend services using the Launcher. This is because, by default, Windows 7 does not support TLS 1.2, which is a stronger encryption protocol that many modern websites use, ours included. Updating to a modern operating system that is still supported by Microsoft is the best option, however if for some reason you are unable or unwilling to do so, you can forcibly enable TLS 1.2 support in Windows 7 via the registry by setting the following options; [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2\Client] "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000 If you are unsure how to do this, I suggest following this guide. Note that you must have all recommended Windows Updates installed or this may not work. You can read more about this topic on Microsoft's website here and here

If you're running Windows 7 make sure to install all available Windows updates

Sounds like it's not connecting to the game server successfully, what server are you trying to join?

Which server are you trying to join? The launcher itself doesn't check the version of TT you have installed, so it must be something on the server you are joining

That's not usual - if some of the binaries changed but some were unchanged it'll take the older ones from a previous patch and combine them with the subset of new ones in the newer patch. It mainly happens when installing from scratch or installing multiple updates at once

Are you perhaps running a Windows Server operating system? The error you're getting seems to stem from a cryptography setting that is only on by default on server versions of Windows...

If you don't set a font colour at all the forum picks a suitable one for each theme 👍

Interesting. Can you trying manually creating the folder %localappdata%/w3d hub/launcher ? Looks like it's not successfully creating it on demand for some reason. I'll look into it when I'm back from holiday next week

Can you check if anything is recorded in the windows event viewer? It sounds like the launcher is crashing on your machine for some unknown reason but I've no idea why that would be.

Honestly? No idea - I've never heard of it and apparently neither has Google. Can you post a screenshot?

You'll need to install interim Apex from the games tab before you can play it 👍

Right now the launcher does not support logging in with a Twitter, Facebook, etc account. I believe if you've already signed in with such an account you should be able to also setup a password for the w3dhub forum account that gets created on your behalf when you sign in using an external service. In the future we may support other login methods in the launcher but it's not on the immediate roadmap and would need a fair bit of reworking in some areas of the code and backend logic.

The origin version of Renegade breaks direct connect completely just so they can shunt you into origin. You can fix it by installing the latest TT patch for Renegade, which restores the ability to direct connect; https://www.tiberiantechnologies.org/downloads

Have you tried using the 'repair game' option in the launcher to check the game files are all present and correct?
