Sure it's convenient, and possible iLTS is scum. There are two possible holes in my town theory about him. What do you think of his analysis on Irish?

I'm more inclined to agree with Irish than with iLTS. Orange lynch was well within the scope of possibility today, I was on the ropes between him and iLTS. But now it's just iLTS. And it makes me hesitant.

Oh my godlessness, does anybody really thinks Anon_Kat is being guided by someone in the scum doc?

Quite the opposite. If anything, he's not guided and thus he hasn't voted day 1. Which doesn't change the fact he needs to produce more content.

It's a really good reason to fire your shot, and a large part of how the day kills should be used for this game.

You were the one to call for careful ammo use, now you want people to start shooting each other in hope that 1 or 2 people out of a 4 man scum team would jam and reveal themselves? What about the collateral damage this will cause? What about the townies who will also jam eventually?

For one thing, you notice things like who didn't vote for Mojoman since Scum wouldn't want to be part of a wagon on a Town player.

Yes, but they wouldn't be those voting orange then either.

I am much less suspicious of iLTS today, but need more info before giving my reasons.

I think it's convenient that Mojo died, Orange got killed and iLTS is left alive alone.

The worst case scenario for Nod, the Cop reveals themselves while the Medic is still hidden, how do you kill the Cop without finding the Medic first now? They can also use the Mutant role to help out with that, so it's not like killing a single Nod player cost them the game then.

Nod could have a watcher role.

Would the #neurotoxin action supercede somebody taking flight (unblockable?) or only work for medic actions, you think?

You would need to ask the Toxin Trooper. The role sheet only mentions the medic, but it would have been a poop unblockable kill if it could be stopped by the dig in.

I'm pretty certain it wasn't that difficult to realize Orange had a unique role in game, he did basically tell everyone. Considering that he does have a unique role, that makes him more of a threat than other roles, and as such a higher priority to kill than a vanilla role.

In the absence of a better target, he's a really good target for the NK to make certain you get rid of a annoying role you'd have to deal with later on. And there's no guaranteed that he was telling the truth about his night action either, and he had made up his claim to hide his real ability.

He may not be the best NK target to go after, but he's still probably a better NK target than randomly trying to pick from the remaining players who has an actual power role.

All of what you say is true. But why kill him (and risk a failed NK if what Orange was saying was true), rather than pushing for a lynch today?

They could have NK'd him tomorrow had they failed. Which would have been a better idea given Orange stated he'd be taking flight Night 1.

My problem is that I get the impression that he wanted to argue against the prevailing lynch knowing it would mislynch. If he's scum this gives him something to maneuver around for later in the game. If there were scum on the mojo bandwagon even better because it creates some distance between him and his scummates. It's what I like to do as scum.

The major holdup is WHY KILL ORANGE?!

Eh, scum could have just not NK'd Orange thus made it 4 possible suspects, rather than offing him and leaving all suspicion on me and ChopBam. For voting iLTS. Who's still around, as the last involved party in Mojo's shooting.

I think you're confusing Jeod and Mojoman there though?

So should I shoot today? I've just caught up with Mojoman/FRAYDO and frankly the reason I haven't joined the gun party (aside from not wanting to yolo D1) is that I have a higher chance to kill.

  8. 1 minute ago, Shade939 said:

    Why so?

Because Jeod also claimed a non standard role, without claiming immunity. If scum was targeting potential power roles, they should have gone for Jeod.

Alternatively, they could have been targeting the strongest player, by meta argument. But Cat5 is still here, so is TheIrishman.

Not to mention Orange was a spinnable lynch today to begin with.

  9. 5 hours ago, Shade939 said:

And anyone who outs themselves as claiming one of those power units, would find themselves targeted by Nod, preventing them from using their ability effectively to start with.

I think there are multiple layers to every claim that was made thus far. Except Jeod, but he never makes sense.

Odds are, if someone performs a day kill, it's a result of them having a higher chance for their day kill to kill someone...

Odds are, the more people fire their weapon the higher the likelyhood of another shot scoring. I thought you understood that when you proposed saving ammo for "combined fire" later on. From what I've gathered about the roles, we should statistically have anywhere between 2-3 kills this match, should everyone fire their weapon.

Yeah, I'm very unhappy with Orange supposedly having a hidden role and then fully claiming it during Day 1, for basically no reason.

If Orange fired his weapon and claimed a defensive night action, this should make him a non-target for Nod. But why not claim a rifleman in that case?

  10. I see it as follows: there is 1 Nod among Mojo, Orange and iLTS

    1. Mojo - jump on Louis is a kinda shitty argument, given we were all bullying her to shoot somebody in the first place. Game hasn't then proceeded much out of joke phase, so i can't see how that would condemn Mojo. On the other hand, it doesn't compute with me why he wouldn't shoot back at either Orange or iLTS. Perhaps he's waiting for Day end? I'd prefer to conserve my ammo too, but if there was a constant threat over my head that i might be shot again before the hammer, i wouldn't hold up.
    2. Orange - shot mojo. Completely unasked for. There is not a fat chance in hell you could be convinced someone is scum in the first half of the first day. Trying to justify it as such would work if you were, say, a rifleman, a pretty much useless role with a below 20% kill chance. But Orange claimed something more powerful than a rifleman just after, so why waste the shot? To become a non-threat?
    3. iLTS - Jumped on the Mojowagon. While I don't like Orange's gunblazing, i doubt scum would shoot first. iLTS looks like he hopped on the gunwagon, which lights all the wrong bulbs for me. I saw a post somewhere saying iLTS' shot was justified because Mojo threatened him, but I can't remember it and i can't be arsed to look. If anyone's shot was justified today, it was Mojo's, who hasn't shot at all.
  11. I said it as a joke. I don't think Shade or Louis are Nod. Shade appealed for people to conserve ammo from the get-go, which is a strong town read for me, while Louis fired the first shot in the game after being bullied to do so. She didn't jam, so she isn't (or shouldn't be, idk) a spy, meaning the risk of killing someone was real. I doubt scum would fire first if they knew this wasn't going to be a dud.
