Why would you be invisible to your own role?
-
If someone uses that Backup Drive, it copies their memories and role information. If I get it back after it is used, I can then use it to upload that to myself, inheriting the role. I lose my current set of one-time actions and become the Backup of that player. The problem I had with TheIrishman is that I failed to check to see if my item could only copy information once. I originally intended to pass it around until I had a few options to pick from, but once I realized my potential mistake I told him to hang on to it. Turns out it can copy more than once, though the previous role is overwritten, so it would have been fine.
-
Huh. Masonry would be an odd scum role, indeed.
-
Yes, I was going to ask why you didn't counter my watcher claim when I didn't see you visit Shade. I had already figured out that you must have done that because of Shade's hint. What has you thinking OrangeP47 is town?
-
K_Y, since you already roleclaimed and have announced your N2 target, what was your N1?
-
Pretty much solely because I think a daytime roleblocker is more likely to be a mafia role. So, if Nodlied is scum, one of the daytime roleblockers is the teammate.
-
I would lean towards OrangeP47 or Killing_You if Nodlied were revealed to be Mafia.
-
I think if Sunflower is scum, her claims were her own idea.
-
Hmm, putting it that way, it seems farfetched. I'm not sure any of the possible suspects would think such a ploy would work.
-
That was my initial thought, but I also thought she would be the most likely to die as a result. She didn't.
-
On the Nodlied case, if we consider why TheIrishman was killed, it may have been that he was a priority kill, in the case that Nodlied is scum. Assuming only teammate, there is only one player left that can kill TheIrishman. They might have been forced to kill him just to make sure they can.
-
I'm not sure there are a lot of night actions a scum team would want to roleblock, though. ... *starts writing down the claimed roles they could roleblock* *realizes there was more than I thought* *thinks that over* ... Yeah, ok, maybe there is.
-
It did stand out to me that Sunflower just outed herself as a night Roleblocker and didn't seem to realize that she put herself at risk by saying that.
-
At this point, assuming you aren't scum yourself and that Retaliation isn't scum either, I think the only conclusion we can reasonably make is that the scum team had something else they wanted to do. We can't really guess what that was without having an idea on what their roles are.
-
OrangeP47 claimed he lost an item, but he never said what it was, did he?
-
Well, there aren't many instances where a scum team could use an item generator. If they make good items, they would just toss them between themselves, so why not just include it as part of the role? On the other hand, if they tossed around bad items that made us leery of using the items handed to us, during a game that might have a lot of them, I can see that being useful, especially if passing items can't be tracked or watched.
-
There is also the precedent of OrangeP47 and his third-party item tosser in an earlier CYOR.
-
That sounds like it would be a town role, unless said item turns out to be something less than good. Maybe he is the one who gave me this booster?
-
I meant to ask, I don't know what you mean by "origin role". What does that mean?
-
It's a bit of an exaggeration to say that I suspect him a lot, but he is the leading suspect because he has claimed to be a daytime roleblocker. I greatly suspect that one of the roleblockers, maybe two, are Mafia. I'm leaning towards the daytime roleblocker because there are so many daytime roles that Mafia would want to stop. ChopBam's, Sunflower's, Shade's, and my own daytime action comes to mind. So that puts OrangeP47 and Killing_You as suspects. I lowered Killing_You down my list because of him corroborating your story, so OrangeP47 is left alone on top. I feel like that only one of the daytime blockers will be mafia, so if one of them is, the other probably isn't. Then it's either Sunflower or Nodlied.

It's been so long since I had a proper scum role, I don't even know if I could tell you. The last two "scum" games I remember were the Debt Note game where I played as town anyway and actually did get town to trust me even though they knew I was scum because I was actively helping them reach their objective for as long as I could (rather than threatening them all the time, take note Shade), and the Killer Mine Layer game where I was converted to Third Party after the scum team was eliminated, and all I had to do was abuse the ghost distractions that VERTi60 added to the game until I won. I feel like I do pretty bad as scum, I remember that. I feel like the one thing I probably can't do when scum that I would do as town, is get into a heated debate with someone. When I know the facts aren't with me, it's pretty hard to go on the attack.
-
Eh, let's not use a limited daykill on a threat that we don't know for sure exists. Everything Shade has been saying has been an attempt to get the heat off of him. He's not doing anything else. We can't trust anything he says, as a result of that. Maybe using a roleblock on FRAYDO would be a good idea, though, to check whether he's a valid target or not. K_Y said his isn't limited, and if I recall correctly, OrangeP47 has one as well?
-
It does seem a little screwy that he could just make a monster from one guy, but since he did reference VERTi60 as an inspiration and necromorphs were created from one player before being combined with many, I wouldn't be surprised. VERTi60 would even hide that they were targetable.
-
Unless his win condition included surviving, which a neutral usually does. I don't remember if or what he claimed about that, though.
-
Actually, if that is true, I do wonder what would happen if ChopBam got it.
