It's been almost 20 years since the last official server went offline... Is back! Many thanks to Chad1233 and N3tRunn3r for the screenshots! We (OmniBlade, CCHyper, tomsons26) are currently in the process of performing a controlled alpha test with selected players (including some of the original top-ranking Sole Survivor players!). This has been quite the journey for us to get Sole Survivor back online; Including reaching out to many of the old school Sole Survivor players for feedback and balancing, uncovering an early Sole Survivor beta test build, and also getting the game work on modern systems. These alpha testing sessions will help us balance the game modes to ensure they are as close to the original servers as possible. Once we are happy with the performance and stability of the server configuration, and we are able to perform player load tests, we will start to explore permanent solutions for hosting full-time servers, allowing us to finally open up the servers to the whole community! As many of you know I am an old renegade player and I've just come back into the game. I have contributed a lot to renegade in the past from being a moderator on n00bstories and mpf in the past as well as have made several mods for the old mpf sever (and my own for a time). I have enjoyed playing again til tonight where I ended up in a game with an old player that doesn't like me and started harassing and kicking me, acting like they are legit reasons. As those of you that know me know how I play know I am a good player and follow the rules. Kickmofo kicked me for standing still long enough to look at tanks (less than 30 seconds standing still), and I heard no pm to see if I was there. Since when is standing still in a nonfull server for less than a minute kickable? He keeps acting like I'm doing things wrong when I'm not, and he won't stop! -kicked for picking tank -threatened for profanity (was trying to use sound taunts i.e. bitch, lawn, etc.) -threatens me in pm several times with only made up cause -kicked me from game for team hampering because I accidentally called the wrong building (which was AFTER I stated the right building and I helped disarm the nuke beacon! He also threatened me in pm that he was going to kick me if I called the wrong building again and did kick when I shouted for irc to see me ask him to stop harrassing me in public chat!) (This happened on Sunday, 1/23/22, about 7:00 pm eastern. I love the BTR, I think it's quite balanced. I feel that it's an excellent addition to the Soviet roster of units. Pls do not change.
