Interesting changes. Let's see how it plays out. However I will just say that:

    1. You would think the flamethrower's armor is what makes him flameproof, not health. Maybe swap it for realism's sake? Suicide on low health should also be a valid tactic for him, makes things more interesting in this game.

    2. Tanya/Volkov change - I'm still not sure about the lack of armor, but is this an overall buff or nerf? Also, you just reminded me that all three Tanyas in Ra never wore anything other than a tight tank-top (how did she have so much health in Ra3?!!!!). I guess you are trying to really go Ralistic here. Volkov though I don't get, he's a robot and should have a lot of armor. Didn't he have tank armor plating in Ra lore?

It would actually be interesting if you made Kov more vulnerable to AT weapons and tank weapons, and Tanya more to small-arms.

Tanya wears a bra infused with the Iron curtain... Hell, her whole outfit got dipped in the Iron Curtain... As for Volkov, Maybe experimenting with 50HP/170AP or 200AP? since he IS an early cyborg and is more machine than man, he is also quoted to have "extremely durable armored plating" and " His armor type effectively makes him a walking tank, surpassing even the Soviet Mammoth Tank." but again, his background shows him to be "one of the greatest soldiers the USSR has ever had"...

its a bit confusing as to how the health/armor would be balanced out, but since he is a cyborg, he should definitely have more armor than health.

  2. I mean of course ISIS takes responsibility of it, but I highly doubt that's the case.... They "Claim" responsibility for literally everything now. They are just trying to make themselves feared and look big, which they aren't..... This year is turning out to be almost as bad as last year..... Faith in humanity is plummeting my bois and grils.......

probably the greatest source to use, but....

Having recently discovered the rank listings, I suppose that they play a major factor in people RQing -- those people want to preserve their place in the rankings. The motivation of 'being one of the best there is at your hobby' is probably pretty strong, especially when it's apb, which to be fair doesnt have as much players as starcraft, for example.

So yeah, should we maybe think of ways to penalise that? I remember COD having a system that sort of penalises your overall EXP if you quit a game early. Should something like that be done?

It wouldn't make much of a difference for the casual APB players like me, as we don't care too much about the rankings anyway; we'll never be on top. The top players, however, play much more than casual players - asking them to finish all their games in order to yield proper rank points shouldnt be too much of an issue, IMO. How do you think about it?

I mean, Since players don't USUALLY care about their rank.... But.. I was gonna say that if the server recognizes that you ragequit too much, it'll down-rank you by half a rank each RQ... (I dont exactly know how many ranks there are, but assuming there aren't many, there would have to be smaller penalties)

I'd also think that if you RQ too much that next time you join the game it zeros you out in credits, while everyone else starts with like 250 or 300 (not entirely sure how much you get at the beginning of a match). Or you could make the starting score a negative value, and keep increasing it with each ragequit... I'd love to start with a -69000 score.

Other than that, as a player who knows next to nothing about the game and it's engine, and penalties that you can administer....... We'd need to let the devs figure that one out.

  4. Never really cared for Ariana Grande, but I know she's big in the music industry.... so far there are about 23 confirmed dead (I heard about 10 of them were under the age of 18), and over 50 are wounded..... So far they identified the believed assailant as 22 year old Salman Abedi... But since he hasn't been officially identified by the coroners, they have not come out with any more information... BUT NOW They have also arrested 23 year old man who has not been named as of yet, who was suspected in carrying out the attack... News is all over the place, so nobody really knows which is true....

  5. oh um, just a sidenote.... the ranger goes absolutely ballistic when you reverse and turn at the same time.......

OH! I also figured out that the Hind in Red Alert, is actually a modified version of the Mi-24PN/Mi-35. Originally, the Mi-24PN didnt have a fully rotating chaingun turret in the nose, but a mountable weapon varying from a fixed dual 23mm cannon, to a chaingun fitted either in the nose, or on the right side of it. so technically, the way the Hind is rendered in Red Alert, the turret did not have a full 360 degree circle of fire around the aircraft, but instead a small 45-70 degree cone of fire in FRONT of the aircraft, (hence why it needs to face it's targets in RA1) or you know, I could be thinking too much about it.......

Not only that, but the RA1 Hind is consistently shown as flying with its landing gear deployed, so it's possible that, given the likelihood of subtle design differences due to the alternate timeline, the landing gear may not even have been retractable. Just a thought

I believe the early versions of the Mil series of Hind had fixed landing gears. Take the Mi-24PN for an example; " The PN version has a TV and a FLIR camera located in a dome on the front of the aircraft. Other modifications include using the rotor blades and wings from the Mi-28 and fixed rather than retractable landing gear.  a prototype of which carried out its first flight in 1999. THe Mi-24VM was more ambitious, but too expensive for the Russian Army. Mi-24PN is equipped with Raduga-III, a night observation sight system, integrated into a Zarevo infrared imager. " straight off the globalsecurity.org site. but I'm assuming since the game is based in a technologically advanced and alternate WWII, the Hind either didnt have a retractable landing gear, due to tech reasons or practical reasons, or had a fixed landing gear because reasons..... the Mi-35M also had a fixed landing gear, so maybe this one is the one they based the Soviet Hind off of. 2440858.jpg?v=v40

  8. I do understand the frustration of last millisecond saves by 1 or 2 engineers getting to the MCT and bringing a structure from 1% all the way up to 70% in 10 seconds so, going with Raap's idea, personally I think the Wrench should be a 1 time use (per buy to mimic RAelism) that can repair defenses anywhere by 10-35%, Main Structure (non MCT) 5%, any MCT 10-20%, and should half disarm a flare. as for capturable structures, it should just insta-cap a structure. as for the repair tool, it could be anything, from a gold textured repair tool, to an actual repair tool (blowtorch or etc.) of sorts... (if we are going the cell phone route, make it a laptop like the HackTops in Rebarnz).

It probably would be a good idea that the Engineer Repair Kit/Tool to do around 10-30% more repair than the standard techie tool.

that's just something I'd like to see at least tested out or looked over... If something like this isn't possible, then just limit the repair tool to 1 25% repair to MCT per buy, and give the engineer a stronger repair tool as stated above...

  9. Its a bit depressing that following the Tib-Genesis FB page, and Moddb page, they really havent...... posted anything regarding the mod..... Also since I recently became part of an ARMA III (Halo OPTRE now turned RHS) Community, I was REALLY hoping there was some kind of, you know.... LIVING C&C mod, however most of the C&C related mods are pretty dead nowadays. welp #makeC&Cmodslivingagain

  10. OH BOY! Another update....... welp...... guess it gives me a reason to force me to stop playing World of Warships/ARMA/Battlefield, and come back to APB to ragequit once again.....
I cannot stay too long, as its not a good idea to leave Kongou Dess without use for long periods of time........

  11. After talking it out a little last night, we're really considering a buy back system for buildings and base defenses as long as the CY is alive

anything to keep defenses around a while longer at least... xD It'll help stave off brutal rush matches a little easier.
