  1. Check your PM. You think Cat5 would be so negligent to say all evidence even though our public objective clearly stated true evidence only and putting it into the correct box. If he was scum, I don't think he'd bet on that word choice to fool us and I wouldn't be aware of it if I were scum >.>
  2. I thought it was pretty obvious. If you don't understand, then I don't think you're Town.
  3. I figured I would've proved myself to be Town when I pointed out how Cat5 should be Town. Otherwise how else could I have caught what he said?
  4. I thought about the hangup as well, but then again it's Mojo and it's hard to tell how his mind works.
  5. Hm...from that I think I think we should investigate Mojo on maybe the 3rd or 4th day. Since it seems like he could be a "dormant scum" I'm not sure he'll pop up as suspicious until his abilities are unlocked. But he's basically already marked himself as suspicious. He's still on my scum list, even higher now even, but we can't lynch yet so I think finding other potential scum players would be a wiser course of action as of right now. Wait...I momentarily forgot about evidence being dropped. Do you guys think he'd start out with evidence on him if he was scum? Or do you think we'd have to wait until he did a scum action for him to have trace amounts of evidence on him?
  6. Maybe, sometimes I read too much into things. But those are the reasons for it. If tension slows down from you refraining from using your ability, then there's a decent chance it's based on the amount of night actions. If the tension doesn't move at all, then there's a good chance you're scum. If the tension keeps the same rate or increases, than it's probably a scum's night action.
  7. There's 2 main reasons to do so: 1. If someone has a useless action *cough* Jeod *cough cough* then we can prevent that person from using their ability to help lower WT. 2. To help clear you from being scum. As we know the media can give rise to all sorts of propaganda which can cause tension to increase in our world. There may be a similar system in this game. If you want to use being American as an excuse for innocence, this doesn't follow history. I could easily see Nod writing in a journalist (spy) trying to start a war in Europe to make a profit off weapon and supply sales.
  8. But I already mentioned why it won't affect him. If he's a tracker, he can still track tonight. He might even be able to tell you the results, but you won't be able to post them until daytime. If not he might be able to tell you both results during the N3. Those are the only things that I could see being bad about it. It won't help narrow down who he is.
  9. If my list needs to be bigger, in that case, it would just be adding you to it since you were the only one investigated. But as of right now I do not think you're scum. But if you still insist on using your ability, then I will think you're scum since you'd be potentially helping scum raise WT for no reason, since you even agreed on how useless your ability is. I don't understand why you're being so difficult on just testing a hypothesis that you initially agreed and and has no negative affect.
  10. Now that I've thought about it a bit more, if Jeod does still use his ability, I think he'll rise back towards the top of my suspect pool. He initially agreed to follow through with the plan, then soft claimed his hesitation towards it. When it was explained why he needn't be bothered, taking away any reason to back out from the plan, his entire position flipped against it, while also turning hostile and possibly trying to direct attention away from his ability being used. (Woot, first time trying to dissect a person's words like a proper player). Well, no, not really. It's more a process of elimination. I don't think I'm scum, so I'm off the list. I don't think Cat5 is scum because of his word choice (if you don't think so, read page 3), so he's off. I initially didn't think you were, so you're off. I don't think Vert is scum due to his inactivity, so he's off. KY seems to be doing decent as town, so he's off. You said Fraydo didn't take any night actions, so for now he's off as well. The only people left are Mojo, Retaliation, Orange, and CK. I'll admit though, I'm probably a bit biased towards believing Cat5 since he's usually strong town and is better at reading people's words than me. Plus he's the only one here I know IRL. But aside from adding Orange to the list, Cat5 didn't affect any of my decisions.
  11. In case you're wondering about Vert, I've basically ignored him since he already mentioned how inactive he'll be before the game even started, so I refuse to believe Nod would purposefully set him as scum.
  12. I've already explained Mojo, maybe his constant carefree attitude is how is normally is, but so far he's been somewhat similar to how he was last game, where he was scum. Retaliation and CK are mostly because I don't know much about them as of right now and I don't really have much a read, so the more information, the better. You weren't really on my list before Cat5 mentioned how skilled your seem to be at hiding as town so I figured I'd tack you on as well.
  13. >.> The point of doing so would be to lower World Tension and help prevent scum victory. N2 isn't too long that "it won't matter by the time we find out about it." It would also help us determine if we're free to use our abilities as much as we'd like without having to worry about them raising World Tension. In a game like this where lynching and nightkills seem to be delayed, I'm not sure classic scumhunting is the way to go until we reach that threshold. You call it going insane, but in a game with time travel where alignments were free to be chosen, I think it was more having fun. After all, I was the mad scientist. If you guys want to investigate me I'm fine with it, but right now my top targets in no particular order are Mojoman, Chaos_Knight, OrangeP47, and Retaliation.
  14. I'm not asking who took night actions last night. And from what you're saying, they have to use a night action to contact your rather than your night action being the sole cause of your information. But what we want to test is if we lower the amount of night actions or just take away yours (since the media can affect the world), will it lower the World Tension? I'm not so concerned about who did or didn't take a night action last night, but I am concerned how many people will take a night action tomorrow. I would assume that unless people have a one-time use or otherwise limited ability, there will be the same amount of night actions tonight as there was last night, minus 1 (2 if your source has to use their ability to contact you, unless they can give you information without you having to post an article). From that we'll see if abilities in general or yours affect World Tension. If it doesn't then we'll know that there's most likely scum with an ability to raise WT somehow.
  15. I'm confused. How could you without using your ability narrow down your source for us? It's not like we'd have any clue as to who was contacting you whether you use your ability or not.
  16. I kind of skipped this since it was addressed before, but since Fraydo brought it up as well I'll just quote myself here. I assumed that Jeod's agreement towards how his ability works was also an indirect agreement for him to not use his ability unless it was important. But for clarification, Jeod, do you agree to help us test out if your ability affects WT? And I'm also curious on the other questions Fraydo asked.
  17. I think we're at the point that we could trust Jeod to go and confirm. Although if someone has another person in mind that they'd like to nominate, I'm all ears.
  18. I feel like your ability is a bit pointless though, Jeod, as you could just as easily report pretty much anything you know during the day, aside from your death. Unless you have something important to say, try not to use your ability so we can see if it can help slow the increase in WT.
  19. I would assume it'd be night actions. I wonder if Nod set it up to be something like +3% WT for a standard night action, or if there are specific actions that cause the tension to rise.
  20. Oh, Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. Classic, nice choice. Well, it seems that either we were right that scum aren't able to nightkill until a certain tension threshold is reached, or wrong and scum wasn't able to nightkill tonight for another reason. Interesting that World Tension went up to 19%. I was thinking it might go up by 10% + X% per action, to help move the game along (and because we started at 10%), but it seems like it directly relates to us rather than the days themselves. For now we're certain that Jeod has no evidence to speak of and seems innocent enoguh, so he's been lowered to the bottom of my suspect pool. I still feel that Cat5 is Town as well. Mojo is fairly suspicious, he seems to be acting fairly similar to last game (mostly jokes) but I'm hesitant to think that he'd be scum twice in a row. I'm a little concerned about FRAYDO since he feels a bit out of character. Orange seems the same as usual. Although a bit off topic, it's odd for me to think of Orange going on a murder spree like he apparently did in Death Note. Whenever I've played with him he's always been town or town-like. It's weird to think of him possibly killing people. I don't have much of a read on KY, CK, or Retaliation (or Vert but he's afk). More talking would be great. The obligatory: anybody have anything to report?
  21. I'll be honest, I kind of glossed over these before, but yeah, we're certain that there is false evidence. And FRAYDO, I don't think we should send both the person we're investigating and the person we want to nominate, if we even can. If we did, they could easily place false evidence in our truth box, causing us to fail our other objective. Orange is reading town for me as well right now, but I'm still more certain about Cat5. Right now I think Jeod would be the best to investigate while Cat5 would be the best to nominate.
  22. It's the word choice that makes me believe, if you didn't catch it, look again.
  23. But I can now say that I no longer wish to investigate Cat5, he's proven his innocence. ##nominate Category 5
  24. This is what I'm mainly referencing, by the way.
  25. It's to find all the evidence and put it in the correct box. If we put false evidence in our "true box" it may cause our secondary objective to fail.
