Welcome to this week's blog. I was hoping that we'd have a podcast by this time, but due to some unfortunate circumstances that'll have to wait. Anyway, here's some presents from the union. <h3>Sentry Gun Ingame</h3> danpaul88 got the sentry gun rigged up ingame and it looks to be working great! However, rumour has it that the soviets have been extending their sentry gun project to rival the efforts of the french grand cannon. These first images from behind enemy lines show the soviet's new sentry cannon being readied for combat use. (Not an actual structure in AR, but hey who knows what bonus missions we could cook up ) Images below! Model by me, textures by TheBeerinator! <h3>Soviet Welder Bottles</h3> I know that theta123 has been waiting for this one. Here are the propane bottles for the Soviet's Technician's welder. There are two bottles, one for oxygen and one for propane. The texture is by cfehunter and according to him: And here is a render! <h3>Soviet Barracks</h3> dtrngd has gotten the Soviet Barracks into game as a test, all that is left to do is to fix a few mesh errors and ship it off to TheBeerinator for texturising. Check it out! <h3>Team Messages</h3> I've been modelling various things among my university projects. These include remodelling the grizzly tank because the mesh had become rather disfigured. cfehunter is wanting to texture things, so he may move onto the IFV. dtrngd is sizing up the allied power plant for internal design. danpaul88 is continuing his game implementation work by getting the assets that are completed into game. TheBeerinator is waiting for the Soviet Barracks to be completed so that he can get and texture it. Chevy787 is currently unwrapping various things. When easter comes, more time will be available for everyone to make advances. Guy with a wrench has completed texturing Ivan's lighter. Look for that one in the next blog! Welcome to this week's blog. Eggman891 has been over to visit so the blog's a little late this week. But not to matter. We have some killer content this week that will hopefully fill you with joy. <h3>Moddb Results</h3> If you haven't seen already, we made it into the top 5 indie games category on moddb, placing 3rd! I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank all of our fans and supporters who voted for us in the awards! We wouldn't be here if it weren't for you guys supporting us and keeping us inspired to make this game in the best way possible. Thankyou also for being so patient. We know we aren't the fastest working guys out there, but with every model, texture, line of code and map completed, we make a small step towards completion. Keep supporting us and you won't be dissapointed! Thanks again! <h3>Harrier</h3> Guy with a wrench has completed texturing the Harrier! He has been working on this for a good long while now, but his work has payed off! TheBeerinator will be taking the texture and applying a few extra bits and bobs to it before we finish, but yeah, this is it! <h3>Sentry Gun</h3> TheBeerinator blitzed the sentry gun texture recently to bring you, the fans, this! There's not much that I can say about this texture other than I think that TheBeerinator has done a great job! Check out the images below and look forward to ingame shots coming soon! <h3>Team Messages</h3> Eggman came to visit me at Stafford university! We took some pictures to mark the occasion which I have documented in this thread here! dtrngd has just about completed the barracks. Welcome to this week's blog. Sorry it's a little late again, my pc was out of commission for most of thursday and fell asleep before I could write it on wednesday Anyway, here we go! <h3>New Tesla Coil!</h3> TheBeerinator asked me for the Tesla Coil to texture a few days ago, so I went and looked at the model before handing it over to him. It was very outdated and poorly modelled in places, so I took the liberty of fixing it up and re-rendering it for you guys before it went off to be textured! Take a look below! We are still debating how the Tesla Trooper's charge effect is going to work. <h3>Phonebox Update</h3> Poggel has nearly completed the british-style phone box now! A phone book, phone and reciever have all been added in for effect. Take a look below! <h3>Happy Birthday C&C Renegade!</h3> This week see's C&C Renegade turn 7 years of age! I'd personally like to commend Renegade for being such a great, unique and amazing game! Without it, we wouldn't be here developing Apocalypse Rising today! So happy birthday to a game that truly deserves rememberance! Check out this thread right here to see what our friends, Fobby and the Renegade X crew, have cooked up for Renegade's 7th! Welcome to the blog guys and girls! Sorry it's a bit late. <h3>Soviet Barracks Update</h3> dtrngd has completed the interior to the Soviet Barracks! Now I will attempt to finish off the statue before passing it on to TheBeerinator to texture! The exterior underwent a re-shape to accomodate the big sliding doors, It took some fixing, but we managed to do a pretty good job when re-shaping it and making it in-keeping with it's RA2 counterpart. Take a look at the images below! <h3>Phone Box</h3> Brrring Brrring! Somebody answer that phone, but make sure that it doesn't self destruct after it gives it's message! Poggel has been modelling this English phone box for use on our british-themed maps! An international phonebox will also be made to put on other maps that are based in other countries, but this model is truly a treat for you english AR fans out there! Images below! <h3>Soviet Door</h3> dtrngd has finished up modelling the generic Soviet Door. Nothing much to say about this one other than you will be walking through this a lot. <h3>Team Messages</h3> I've found a house for next year and I'm putting the deposit on it tommorrow! Pete is coming to stay tommorrow! dtrngd has an advanced english exam coming up soon, so he's going to practise by watching X-Men Evolution! Awesome! danpaul88 is adapting the vehicles slightly, in accordance with some values that I posted up. Welcome to this week's blog. It's friday the 13th, so anything could happen! <h3>Allied Barracks Ingame!</h3> At long last, the Allied Barracks has been completed and rigged up ingame! dtrngd and TheBeerinator have done an astounding job to get things rolling in the buildings department recently, which is awesome. I got goosebumps just walking round this structure ingame, because everything felt right and in place. Here are a bunch of images of the barracks ingame! These screenshots have been taken using the latest build of AR. Pretty cool eh? <h3>IFV Update</h3> I've been doing some work on the new chassis for the IFV, since the old model was fairly inaccurate and riddled with errors. This model is now nearing completion, so unwrapping can begin soon after. <h3>Poggel's Props</h3> Poggel has been busy whipping up some new props for us. These props include a set of swings, a redone set of pipes, some beach umbrellas and the tyre prop, all of which were featured in RA2! Here are some images below! See if you can find the two 3d models in this image <h3>Team Messages</h3> It was my birthday yesterday, so I'm now 19! I went out, got rediculously drunk and staggered back to bed to sleep. When I woke up I was covered in felt tip pen thanks to my uni friends A great night out! cfehunter is coming to visit next friday! danpaul88 released the lastest build of AR to the recently appointed testers. This new build features working sentry guns and the flak trooper amongst other things. dtrngd got the allied barracks ingame and semi-rigged. The only things left to do now are to get some new purchase terminals setup along with the buyable sandbag system and the weakpoints. Great stuff. Guywithawrench is texturing the allied harrier. I'm making the statue hold an AK-47 to link back to Red Alert 1/APB. There was no Moisin Nagant in RA1 so the link cannot be made that way. In rememberance of the first war, against the Allies, is my personal take on it. Not officially.

Welcome to this week's blog. I don't have much, but here we go! <h3>Soviet Barracks Statue</h3> I scanned in my own face and put it a top this lofty statue. This statue was destined for the Soviet Barracks so it could watch over the battlefield and inspire the troops with it's hard communist exterior. All that is missing is the statue's AK47, which is being modelled ready for next week. Who knows, maybe the statue will appear as a playable bonus character The statue was modelled by me! Now Recruiting! We are now officially recruiting new testers! Chronojam has more details. If you feel like applying, please send Chronojam a PM with the subject "BHP Tester" or something similar so that he can easily spot it in his inbox. Please include your in-game name, how much time you think you can give us, what days/hours are good for you, the specifications of your video card and RAM, and how good you are at the game. It's not really required but it will help if you write down why you want to be a tester or why we should take you on as a tester. Don't forget to vote for us!!! Just another gentle reminder, but AR and APB both made it into the Top 100 at ModDB and need your help for a chance to win Mod of the Year! Still no podcast as Lord_Kane and I have been really busy and unable to sort out a time to record this podcast. AI Miners will have more functionality, but the AI in w3d-based games has always been fairly dumb, so there's not much we can really do. The War Miner will be able to prioritise targets though!
