  1. A classic jailer would prevent anyone else from doing anything to you.
  2. Though I did wonder, what if we're all dead and we don't notice being killed?
  3. Mafia Edit: Doubtful as in Doubtful both are on the same side.
  4. If you're a jailer, why didn't you go after Shade's roleblocker claim?
  5. Two different jailers, huh? These two aren't going to both be town.
  6. If you did a jailing action, you probably need to state your target.
  7. Here at the No News Network, we keep you up to date on the fact that we have news. NNN
  8. Plot twist: We join the game with Liten, and then promptly start a chat mafia game right there.
  9. Well, we know what's coming either way. It's not like it's a surprise when WW2 happens while playing a Hearts of Iron game, and your invasion targets were predictable given the historical restrictions. Even if we go back to before the war started, it's not like the Soviets or myself are going to be able to position ourselves to stop your advances into other countries. We can only get ourselves in better position to defend ourselves. To be honest, if we continued from the current save, I think I'd prefer that you guys just end it as quick as you think you can (the AI did it in a little as 3 months, but also took almost 1.5 years on another attempt), so that we can start another game sooner rather than later, because there is little point delaying the inevitable. Even if you guys didn't attack the Comintern, I don't think I'd be able to hold off a competent Axis trying to invade the home isles for two years before the USA is allowed to join (a restriction I wasn't aware of, I might add) I'd rather just concede that you guys won this game, and then restart from the advanced time so that we can get into another game really quickly and give it another go. From my point of view, it's less about responding to what you guys did, but changing what we did, because we did some stupid things. The Comintern strategy that allowed WW2 to start early, for example, could be changed by the Com China player not attacking Japan and instead taking out the rest of China, and I'd put more force into defending France, because I previously believed Paris didn't count and wasn't preparing to defend France at all until Pluk asked me to. Oh, and I'd build my divisions differently and setup my Garrison orders better. I wouldn't be, for example, trying to invade Scandinavia before you guys do, because I don't think I have the skill to pull that off, nor the forces available to commit to it. In turn, I'm sure you guys also learned plenty about us during that playthrough as well. The three of us are all off for Saturday, so in theory we should be available. I don't really know what TheIrishman's or Skyhater's plans are.
  10. iLTS stole what I was going to say. I didn't think you were at any higher risk of being NKed than anyone else until you asked for protection. If you ask me, the most likely NK target is VERTi60, given that he is apparently lynchproof, and would therefore need to be eliminated by NK. But even then, maybe not because he's so effective at triggering everyone. Furthermore, beyond the idea that you might be trying to trap a town power role, there is also a possible concern that scum might have a way to kill you regardless of protection, or that scum could make a trap out of you even if you aren't trying to be so. I'm also wondering if iLTS and Shade aren't the only two people that picked from the same universe. And if you did pick from the same as I did, I don't think you will be my friend. Why don't you tell us exactly why you think you are a likely target? More thoughts on the iLTS/VERT dustup. I like the way iLTS has been making his arguments this game. He's saying the things I would be saying and I can largely follow along with his logic regarding his gambit. At the same time, I really highly doubt that everything he's told us is true. His gambit isn't done yet. I'm thinking that he's at least not-mafia, but otherwise despite saying so much in the past phase, he's perhaps the biggest question mark of the game. I don't like the way VERTi60 argues at all, but that's consistent with all the recent games I've had with him. Him being lunchproof probably makes him not-mafia, unfortunately.
  11. Also, no matter who gets lynched today, nobody is going to be happy about the result. And I mean anyone, not just iLTS or VERT
  12. This has been a facinating discussion, but unfortunately it's taken so long to get through that I only have a couple minutes to post my thoughts here. My initial impression on iLTS was that it was scummy to out himself as vengeful. A town player that wants to actually use their role shouldn't say that. I also found it suspicious when he changed gears and started explaining that it was a gambit....but then I actually liked his explanation. I disliked Shade and VERTi60's reactions to this gambit, but I don't think they are both scum. I think one of them might be. Going to go with VERT. ##vote VERTi60 @Killing_You to answer your question, yes, I'm scum. Obviously. @VERTi60 I'm not supernatural. Yet.
  13. So, I recall a different game where I picked a Defense Attorney as my avatar and then you switched to a Prosecutor. Do we stand on opposing sides this game as well?
  14. Well, given how the bodies normally change shape to match the person who is being channeled, it probably wouldn't have looked that horrifying.
  15. Well, I mean, given the character, I'll probably be killed after the first case (D1) and spending the rest of the game watching you upstarts flail around.
  16. Strictly speaking, I'd have to say, I don't know. I'm not even going to bother thinking of the number of turns to MY/LYLO because this is a CYOR game and chances are there is all sorts of crazy built in, and a potential for extra factions.
