  1. That being said, I suspect we'll all be too busy to worry about the balance of power once we start the next phase, and instead we'll be worrying about the lack of troops positioned on the wall.
  2. Indeed. Well, with the three of you working together, I suppose I have little choice in the matter. However, this is the crux of the deal I am making. I will enforce the ultimatum on Orange if and only if Louis is sent to the wall. If Orange is sent to the wall instead, I will not consider an attack from Orange in your direction as an attack on the kingdom.
  3. Ah, so you wish to keep Louis in the kingdom, is that what you are saying?
  4. Yet you are back, and have shown to have an offensive option of some kind while the rest of us don't. Being sent to the wall isn't a permanent solution to your problem and makes the kingdom as a whole weaker.
  5. Besides, I want him here because his presence helps ensures you can't attack me directly. If that isn't your plan, that shouldn't be a problem.
  6. Let's say, for example, that Orange does assassinate someone. If he takes me down, you guys control the vote. If he takes you down, he doesn't have a chance against the Royal Army or probably Rubeci. Would you agree?
  7. Well, alright. Let's see if we can work out that scenario.
  8. I'm mixed. I'd rather we all get along and put our heads down and get ready for winter, but I'm not totally in a position where I believe that any of the fighting parties doesn't have some other goal in mind. I particularly don't like how both founding members of the rebellion are still working as a unit. While Louis did get picked as my hand, I picked her to verify whether or not she rebelled, not because I actually wanted her. Furthermore, she has an alliance with Shade and is still working for his goals rather than talking with me. I've unfortunately realized that picking her was a mistake on my part, and one I may need to fix. I do not need a double agent as my Royal Advisor. Orange may talk big about what he can do, but he's now in a position where he depends on me for protection. Even if he were to kill me now, he can't win the next vote as his masters of political science has failed him, and then nobody will be left to defend him. Attacking him while I had royal forces there helping him defend also revealed to me what you guys have to work with. Given that you couldn't take down the least defended house in the kingdom (albiet with a small royal force attached), it doesn't appear you guys have that much to work with right now. At this time I'm inclined to vote Louis and place her at the wall for extra defenses for the upcoming winter period as Retal needs replacements for forces that have abandoned their duty. After that, an ultimatum will be placed on OrangeP47, Shade, and Rubeci. An attack from either side will be considered an act of war and will be dealt with in kind. If Louis does not like this proposal, she has some time to convince me otherwise. ##vote Louis
  9. I would have went with that, but I have no idea how you would accomplish that.
  10. Unfortunately, I need sleep and I won't be back until for a short time in the afternoon before I go back to work.
  11. I suppose that's true. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on with Rubeci. I can't decide if he's the obvious villain that's been right before us all this time or a trap that will cause us to be punished if we hit him. VERT likes to do both of those things and it's hard to guess which one he's doing. That said, it's unfortunate that your masters in political science caused you to be an assassination target.
  12. Well, theoretically it could have been Shade if we believe that he is truly joined with Rubeci. We know that someone delayed the game because they were planning their actions still and that discussion didn't involve my alliance with you or my communication with my Lord Commander. Only options left would be discussions involving people on the wall or Shade/Rubeci, and I know which two probably had a lot to think about.
  13. That's an interesting statement to make as the people choose to rebel before knowing who the hand is. However, I've talked to the Lord Commander on the issue and he would prefer to keep his existing manpower on the wall and I fully understand why. For that reason it is unlikely I'll be taking anyone currently on the wall, as much as I would like to. Unless, perhaps, it turns out that everyone else rebelled.
  14. Are we sure about that limitation or is it just assumed it has to those two?
  15. Over Louis and Shade, yes. Over anybody else? Previous experience says no. But fine. I'm probably not going to like this, but we'll have pretty much certain war between the major factions if I don't do this. If the former rebels can agree to not start another fight, perhaps we can unify for the expected coming threat. ##vote Category5
  16. You know, actually, I did forget about that. We haven't exchanged any words since the end of the rebellion.
  17. For certain if I become Emperor Orange will eventually attempt to kill me. His ambitions are to become the supreme victor of this game and he will not care who stands in the way. To seize power before someone else kills him is probably a bad move.
  18. That's kinda true. I don't want to reward betrayal but Orange isn't exactly a shining example of what a king should be either. If I didn't think that becoming King at this point meant anything other than certain death, I would consider becoming Emperor myself.
  19. So, who's going to be the one to explain to Louis how she's supposed to do anything? Pretty sure being Queen isn't going to be a straightforward task and I've already seen how much she needed to be guided during the rebellion.
